Sister, I'm so proud of you for standing up for yourself. Loyalty has an expiration date. Hmong people need to change their old fashioned mindset and culture. Men cheat, women can cheat too. You do you. No need to worry about people's negative words. They only like you when you are good, rich and successful but when you're poor and struggling, nobody cares about you. We need more women esp more Hmong women like you. Setting boundaries for yourself and standing your ground is not evil. Hmong people said you're evil or siab phem but it's not because Hmong people like people who have no boundaries so they can step all over. Do whatever makes you happy sister!!!
I am a man, but I hate our culture as well. Hmong culture are practiced by the OG hlwb 75. It is disgusting and backward. Cov 18 xeem has no teeth. They are paper tigers.
I definetly agree with her. This is so on point 100%. This tradition is so sexist and messed up. Men rising above women, having so much privilege to cheat and marry so many wives, no wonder this generation a lot of divorcées out there. It don’t matter how good of a nyab you are, they’ll always give him the upper hand regardless of his ways. Don’t try and make her look bad when your sons are the ones who cheat and lie over and over again. Thank god this is America and this generation more women are speaking up for themselves. The law is our only hope if our husbands beat or kill us. Relatives won’t do nothing but say you deserve it only.
Preach it!! I agree with you 💯!! You're right!! Hmong men/people need to change their disgusting mindset thinking all hmong men have the right to cheat while expecting their wives to stay loyal!
Our Hmong women need to form an organization or committee to bring women’s rights together for our children, future, and the community. No wonder our people have no land to be ours, it’s mainly because of these men only focus on themselves.
First of all, I am super proud of you!! I want to thank you for sharing your story. You are such a strong and intelligent lady. I am so glad you got out of this abusive relationship and you are so strong in standing up against these old beliefs and people. Yes, I agree 110% with you! Us hmong women need to stand up and make this culture change. That's why if I know what they are doing is wrong, I stand up! I refused to let anyone do me wrong. May God bless you and I pray for change.
Sister you did the right thing. I’m pretty fortunate to have parents that love and support me on my decisions. This is the 20th century, everyone deserves the same respect. Hmong relatives and in laws will NEVER support the woman. It’s sad but hopefully our generation now will not follow the old Hmong folks footsteps. I once told my dad when my sisters got married to donate the money to the police academy instead of giving it to the uncles or relatives because they will never support and love someone else’s daughter.
My advise is to never ever consult marriage problems with the elders (cousin) unless you see no other options. Take care your own problems. Hmong marriage law only benefits men…don’t play with their system. And if you ( the woman) fight the system, you will be viewed as a bad person and they will completely cut tie with you from all future rituals. This is the hard truth and is coming from a man myself. In all seriousness, I agree we need to fix the Hmong marriage counseling system for future to come.

Aman to this strongly woman. I a 👏 for you for finding equal rights for woman. Praying for justice in court soon for our daughters in America. Please22222 it's time don't waits any longer. Too many woman's are suffering. They needed it help😑
💯💯💯💯 Everything in this story is correct! NEVER consult with your relatives...they will never side with you! I was told to be siab ntev with my ex who refused to work. Nope, BYE! Not going to let some loser hold me back cause they have no motivation in life.
This is why Hmong family meetings are hopeless. They tell you as a daughter in law to be patient and to put up with bs but when you make a little mistake, it's the end of the world. You do you sister! Be strong and independent.
The moment you moved to the U.S. or were born in the U.S. you have equal rights by law, as far as relationship rights go. Hmong women need to take this truth to heart and stop using Hmong txoj cai to do their fighting in any unfair marriage. In fact, there are some states where you, the hurt spouse, can even legally sue the partner that your spouse is cheating with. Hmong txoj cai tsis ncaj for protecting the women and will ultimately push Hmong women away from marrying Hmong men, and it will mostly be the men's fault for being misogynistic in their thinking.
That’s what I’m saying. Hmoob women never keep their justice, but keep asking if there’s going to be any for them…they act like they are the 1970s folks…errrgghh!!
We are same human beings , and now we live in the country of law that made from the bible. We must treat each other as equal as the law. No one important than others . I support your thoughts, but next time try not to fight back by yourself bur pray god to open the ath for you yo go my dear friend, may our lord continue to lead your family ‘s future, Gid bless you
Cheating is not the way to go. We women should not use this route, we should just divorce him the day they he cheated. Full stop. Do not lower yourself to his level. Leave and rise.

I made it clear to my husband if he doesn’t want to deal with my neej tsa then don’t piss me tf off. My neej tsa put his ass in jail twice and his kwv tij had to go bail him out.

Yog li koj hai lawm os peb cov poj niamyuav tsum sib pab kom peb tau txoj kev ncaj ncee

You are so right sister. No need to be advise by the others. You are free to decide for your own life because no one would feed you and give you money.

This story makes my blood boiled as a Hmong woman. Thankful my life is not like this but I am so proud of you sister, for standing up for yourself! This is America, use the law and not your Hmong leaders, clan or relatives to give you your right! There is no law in this land giving men the right to cheat on you or beat you! You go sister! If you are a woman in this situation, get yourself out!
Nej cov poj niam txhob poob siab cov niag txiv neej hmoob laus twb tuag yuav tag cov me nyuam tuaj yug teb chaws no loj hlob tuaj lawv tsis coj hmoob cov niag kev cai uas peb hmoob hu ua dev npua cai no lawm os

Nco ntsoov Hmoob tsis muaj ib txog cai sau nyob twg. Hmoob txog cai yog dev npua cai xwb. Leejtwg yuav ua li cas los tau. that's why txivneej muajcai pojniam tsis muajcai. Nyias ua li lub siab xwb yog dev npua cai. who cares dev npua cai. yog leejtwg coj li dev npua cai ces thiaj li raug ntaus, raug ncaws, thiam cem li tej tsiaj. wake up Hmong people. txhob cia luag them ib pob nyiaj rau rau yus thaum luag tuaj yuav yus tus ntxhais. cia ob tog niamtxiv sib pab tej menyuam kev sib sau ua neej. lawv thiaj li muaj cai sib luag. proud of you sister but you already been hurt so much. forgive them and move forward so that your hurt will be heal and you will be happy. Peace to you.

This is why Hmong family meetings are hopeless. They tell you as a daughter in law to be patient and to put up with bs but when you make a little mistake, it's the end of the world. You do you sister! Be strong and independent.
Yog kawg nkaus li os hais raug kuv siab tshaj li o niam ntsuab teev aw
We are same human beings , and now we live in the country of
law that made from the bible. We must treat each other as equal as the law. No one important than others . I support your thoughts, but next time try not to fight back by yourself bur pray god to open the ath for you yo go my dear friend, may our lord continue to lead your family ‘s future,
Gid bless you

Cheating is not the way to go. We women should not use this route, we should just divorce him the day they he cheated. Full stop. Do not lower yourself to his level. Leave and rise.
💯 💯 💯👍

In America, we do not need kwv tij neej tsa PERIOD! My neej tsa are law enforcement and the court, and yes, I’m still a married woman. I made it clear to my husband if he doesn’t want to deal with my neej tsa then don’t piss me tf off. My neej tsa put his ass in jail twice and his kwv tij had to go bail him out.
