    Hi,
What is the reference of your surgical gloves? I have been looking for blue ones :)
    Thanks!

Hey doc, the clinic I started working at uses bags for all oral surgery instruments. I always thought using casettes would be better as they are less likely to rip and/or leak. I'm somewhat concerned about infection control issues. What do you think?

I don’t really have much input here other than personal opinion. The odd time bagged instruments puncture through, that being said though, it’s convenient to have them packed on their own. It’s rare that you need more than a couple tools to remove a tooth. If you’re doing more involved things like third molars then maybe a full cassette would make more sense. Again that’s just my feel on it. As long as the bags are sealed I assume they are good from an infection control standpoint. All the best!

@@OnlineExodontia thanks doc. One more question. How do you feel about prescribing chlorhexidine post operatively? I typically give it out for 7 days after an impacted third molar but I'm wondering if it would be beneficial after any extraction? the research is mixed

@@jmatt2871 As far as I know (when I last looked into this) there is positive benefit to using pre-operatively for 1-2 days, then a week following. The trouble is getting it to the patient pre-operatively, unless you're meeting with them a few days in advance for a consultation. All the best!

@@OnlineExodontia thanks so much. purchasing your course has been the single best decision ive made as a general dentist. I work in a rural clinic where I extract 40-50 teeth a week and it has helped me immensely.

Doctor, this is kinda off topic but i don't really see it covered in your course. Do you have much experience with mandible fractures? In my line of practice, I have encountered several hairline, non-displaced fractures of the mandible. Should any fracture (even non-dsiplaced, hairline ones) be referred to oral surgery for potential fixation? Seems to be some debate over this

I (fortunately) haven't seen much of this and I am really not qualified to speak on that topic so I'll have to pass on it! Hopefully you can find the answer you're looking for! All the best!
