    Love it. But hopefully it won’t put me out of work. Not really. As a guitarist/producer/singer I’ll use anything that gets me the result I want.
    You know, I wasn’t gonna subscribe until you said you were from Oklahoma. Then I couldn’t hit the button quick enough. Jk, I subscribed a few weeks back. Happy to see Okies on here. I’m a born and bred Okie myself that just happens to have spent the last 20 years here in Nashville. Keep up the great content and I’ll keep watching!!

      Okies unite! You know, I saw an interview once with Ryan Tedder from One Republic (a Tulsa boy himself just like me) and he quoted a statistic that there are more successful hit writing songwriters per capita from Oklahoma than any other state in America. I laughed when he said it as I thought to myself “yeah, and 95% of them are probably in Nashville”. I’ve always regretted, just a little bit, going the LA route instead of spending more time in Nashville. I have lots of friends out there, like the guys in Wildfeathers or now my old buddy David Cook from American Idol who have really sunk their teeth into the city.
      Anyway, thanks so much for watching and for dropping me a line! Have an awesome day brother.
      Oh, and I always feel halfway the same, but as a songwriter, 75% of my productions usually serve as demos to artists I’m pitching songs to, so I find these plugins to be an incredibly effective way to turn ideas around as quickly as possible. So even as a guitarist… that’s how I justify it to myself lol. 😂😂😂

      It’s a life saver in a pinch. I love it for creating demos, but in truth It ends up staying in quite often. I used to use it for inspiration, but at this point if it sounds good… I just usually keep it so I can keep moving forward with the production in a creative headspace. Overthinking that stuff just ends up killing my flow! All of the Session Guitarist plug-ins are awesome. I’m a guitarist and a keyboard player and many ‘purists’ will argue nothing can replace a real guitarist - but I think that’s naïve. Many genre’s are fine with virtual guitar. What NI is doing with their sampled guitar and bass instruments is super impressive. Now, I find it takes more effort and time to get the results I’m after with Electric Mint than just picking up and playing a real guitar - but eventually I’ll get better at using these types of virtual instruments 😜

    • @BeauTylerMakesMusic
      @BeauTylerMakesMusic  2 роки тому

      ❤ Yo. It’s both. There are two versions in each purchase. One is standard and the other one is called Melodic. I’ve found that there are a few presets in each pack that allow me play proper lead. However, there are so many other techniques in lead playing vs. rhythm playing that you won’t have total control just the same as a guitar. However, the limitations almost always bring out something really creative for me :)
      To clear up a possible misunderstanding, this isn’t a synth. It’s a sample library recorded by a guitarist that you have mapped control to. You can only use what he recorded. And from there you can alter it a bit.
      Hope that way too long of an answer helps :)

    Can you do solos? play your own riffs?

    • @BeauTylerMakesMusic
      @BeauTylerMakesMusic  2 роки тому

      In melodic mode, yes, but since it’s a sample library you’ll still be using the articulations already recorded so you can’t be quite as expressive. Well, if we are talking about rock or blues anyway. What usually happens is the limitations will force you to create something you hadn’t otherwise planned for. So if you want it for that purpose I’d just advise to keep an open mind. :)

  • @hbrown1422

    my question is, dont you run out of patterns? And if you have twenty songs to record, what is the liklihood you can find a part using this, on all 20 songs, i could say getting lucky a few times where one fits perfectly. And if you have to play it yourself, then why not just play it on guitar?

    • @BeauTylerMakesMusic
      @BeauTylerMakesMusic  Рік тому

      Hmm, that's a great question but hard to answer for a few reasons. I've never hit a wall on being able to tweak it, but I haven't ever tried to utilize it for ALL guitar parts. Usually just a moment or two. For instance, I use the acoustic one A LOT because If I'm just looking for a strumming pattern then I'm always able to make it work. However, for lead stuff, you're definitely limited to the articulations that have been sampled. Basically, I'd say that if you were using for EVERYTHING and they weren't lead riffs, you'll be absolutely fine.

      There are two versions of each session Guitarist plug-ins that you get whenever you purchase them. One is a standard version and the other is called “melodic“. In one version the chords are based on actually playing chords on the piano. In the other version there are single note cord sets. So for instants if I was playing in F sharp minor I would just hit the first key in the sequence and it would play the F sharp chord. I hope that helps. ❤️✌️
