I do not remember anyone telling us that pushing down a key harder triggers vibrato in UA-cam video reviews. Thanks so much for this. I hope it works with their String quartet that they introduced in Komplete 13. Going to purchase one.
Yeah, it's one of those amazing hidden features. A lot of NI's newer instruments make good use of Aftertouch, the modwheel is another control they've been assigning to vibrato as well. I'm not so sure if those controls are assigned to anything in the string quartets, it might be, I'm just a little unfamiliar with them. Anyways, I hope you have a lot of fun with Electric Mint!
@@ThisIsOnesto I actually haven’t bought the mint. I always upgrade the whole Komplete and I will be okay with waiting for a sale upgrade. But will definitely get this keyboard and try it out. Thanks so much again. You’re a rockstar! ⭐️🤘
Hi Onesto, this is the vid that put the final decision to purchase Elec Mint. Never been disappointed. It's GREAT. Thank you so much for spending the time to do this.
Of course! I still love this electric guitar. Next week I'm hoping to release a video about my favorite guitar plugins. Electric Mint definitely earned it's spot there, but I have a few more that you might be surprised by. Thanks again for watching!
So excited to be getting Electric Mint for my birthday. Also, saving 50% off NI summer savings. I've watched this video 8 times now. You did such a great job on this Onesto! Thank you! Triple liked and subscribed!!!
You got it! In the video you watched I was using the Komplete Kontrol MK2. However, I recently upgraded to the MK3.The MK3 has a few upgrades, but the MK2 is totally fine.
Have you tried the controller that allows you to bend notes by aftertouch articulation, i see your fingers are following where the bend of the note should be
In this video I'm using the Kontrol MK2 which has aftertouch. In my demos, I am using that aftertouch to modulate the vibrato. It's really easy and intuitive to use, and gives you a big extra layer of realism. I seriously love Electric Mint.
@@MrT-tn4qe yeah of course, and just to add, more MIDI controllers have aftertouch, so be sure to check if any of your MIDI controller can already do it. Thanks for watching!
@@ThisIsOnesto I have aftertouch just not the one that allows you to bend notes by gliding on the key, I'm saving to buy the Expressive E Osmose keyboard it's the only one like that I've found.
Man! Now I might have to buy this. Kind of wish I had held on Prime bass for this. Heads up, Ondine from Teletone is the truth! Might even like it better than vespertone. So good for RnB, lofi, or EDM too
Oh man, but Prime Bass is so so good too. Honestly, it's now Prime Bass, and Electric Mint for me from Native Instruments. And yeah I saw that Ondine is out now, and it does sound really good. I'm trying to figure out if I should get it, but I have so many plugins lined up to talk about haha! Good to hear from you again, hope you're doing well!
Great questions. If you're someone who's into dabbling and just want to have fun, than I think the effects and amps in electric mint are great. There's a good amount of them and good quality. If you ever get bored of those effects you can always open up pandora's box with all the guitar pedal/amp plugins out there. If you're a serious guitar player who wants all the toys, than go ahead and consider Guitar Rig.
Besides the reviews, has any one made a beat using these session guitars? Very simple to start with, but cannot match the existing beat, change my mind
For what it's worth, when using the melody and rhythm presets, you can adjust the swing to fit your beat. And if it's still not working, you can export to MIDI and do whatever you want with it. On the other hand, when using the Session Guitars, I pretty much only use the melody presets that allow me to control the guitar with MIDI, like any other virtual instrument. The reason being that the stock presets and rhythms don't really mesh with the genres I like to make. But with the melody presets, I can do whatever I want.
Lovely sounding plug-in. Just wish NI would allow you to tweak or import the midi back in after tweaking in your daw, so you could play with your own favorite rhythm’s in their session stuff. Most people wil if lucky find like 10-20% of the build in rhytms and strummings usefull. The rest is just garbage that you never use
Oh yeah, I always had a hard time finding a good use for the rhythms and strummings. I mostly focus on the 16ths and 8ths strums since they sound the most natural. But that suggestion you made with importing midi into Electric Mint would definitely be a big help. Hopefully there's a cool update like that in the future.
Yes you can! Just make sure to turn off the effects inside Electric Mint or things can get confusing and out of hand...unless that's what you're looking for. Thanks for checking this video out!
Onesto, I can't get my brand new Elec Mint to go into melody mode. I have looked it up in the NI manual to no avail. I do not see the word melody come on the screen like in your video. HELP! PLEASE!
@@ThisIsOnesto Went to Kontact 7 player and it gave me 2 choices. Pattern and Melody. Clicked melody and it worked. Using key switches it can go from melody to patteren. Coooool, Thanks Onesto. Hope you're having a great family day! Steve
When you find the plugin in Kontack 7, it should be several options in the right pane and one is melody. It is usually the second one from the top down.
Mine doesn’t even have any of that . There ain’t no melody mode .What a rip off. I can’t do shit with it. Won’t even let me edit the midi wave. It keeps playing the same thing over no matter what I do to chop it up. 😂 technology man what a joke . I’m definitely got bent over on this one ! Lol
You certainly get more control if you know how to play chords. However, there's a few modes that play out progressions with just a single key or with basic chords drawn in with MIDI.
After using NI software for 20 yrs, I can only say KONTAKT and KOMPLETE KONTROL software sucks ! IT needs to be rebuild from the ground up. Using it is like riding a bicycle in the era of space travel. Obsolete, unreadable, super ancient GUI which really sucks and causes endless issues and problems with plugins and libs.

Is electric mint included in the kontakt bundles 🤔
I believe Electric Mint is included in the Komplete 14 and soon to be Komplete 15 Standard bundles.

How do you get to melody mode
When you find the plugin in Kontack 7, it should be several options in the right pane and one is melody. It is usually the second one from the top down.
If you take a look at the presets, you'll find some presets with (Melody) at the end of them, indicating they are melody mode presets.
