Not really, that's why I'm showing this technique. You can get similar result using an AnimationPlayer or Tween but there are drawbacks to these techniques
Yes, but tween nodes require you to call a bunch of functions and with this technique you just put this in your code once and it works whenever you change the value! Plus you only need to input 2 values, while with tweens you have to put in a minimum of 4
Super clear, direct to the point, well presented, practical cases and with source code... this is gold, good job!

Man this looks awesome. Hopefully I’m smart enough to figure out how to add this to my own projects!
Excellent video! This is going to be a phenomenal resource!!
Exactly what i was looking for ❤
Thanks, this will help me in the exam too :)
I'm totally going to buy the course
Universal tut , works same in unity, hope you keep teaching things like this which are engine agnostic 🎉
Exactly, maths can be used anywhere! I'll try to :)
Looks really good!
Could you use this on an x and y value to make like an elastic rope type thing?
worked like a charm, thanks
Glad it helped
Very helpful, thanks for sharing!
Glad it was helpful!
so many resources go extremely in depth and honestly complicate it, idky ppl dont explain it as good as you
(Sorry for my English) This is a cool video dude. Are there any functions inside the engine ready to be used for similar effects?

My brain hurt
Could this be used in a 3D shader to make tall grass react to player movement?
Oh yeah definitely
I initially thought it was a tween you were using here. Great stuff nonetheless!
Tweens are cool but you need to define the animation by hand. Here you get a cool result by just playing with the spring and damp values
Are you working on a 4.1 video ? 🥰
No but I could maybe. What would you want to know? GDQuest made a video about it I think
You can make the same with the Tween Node.
I said it in the video, but you don't have the same ease of use tweaking the movement with just two parameters.

Hi! What is the name of the game shown in this intro?
Rustled Pete
Did you leave twitter?
I'm still on twitter but it was my old handle, I've updated it!

THIS IS PERFECT FOR BOOBS PHYSICS!!!!!!
