Although the lore does fit. It doesn’t really fit the tone of the fights. Still a great video. For example: -Mohg’s theme makes you feel like you’re going against a sinister god who wants you to know that you are honored to be it’s noble sacrifice. Pontiff’s makes you feel like you are going against a holy saint hiding it’s atrocious crimes behind their divine robes. -Messmer’s theme is for a man who was abandoned by his mother but still attached to her, not being able to let her go. Nameless king too was abandoned by his parent but he took it in gladly, even when his name is erased from history, he still has that kick in him, which is why his theme is so upbeat -Bayle is for an evil ahh dragon. Midir is a sad ahh dragon But if you know how to have fun, this vid is still hype though 🙏 🙏
@ Mohg and Pontiff are both worshipped saints who pray to a lord who doesnt care for them (very far fetched) Messmer and the Nameless King are both sons of a worshipped lord who abandoned them. Bayle and Midir, yeah they arent similar at all
Elden ring soundtrack is more detailed for the atmosphere that is played with. You can hear the sadness of the situation at mohgs theme. Even back then everybody thought this was ment for miquella bot actually for mohg himself. Tricked, forced to obey through feelings and manipulated
There are a few problems with the application of these osts in Ds3: _Mohg's theme is a music centered around the question of the unholy priest who is connected to deity, but Pontiff is a priest who tricked a deity and now holds the power as one. _Messmer follows his mother and uses his real nature embued with hatred towards himself and possibly rancor to her too, the Nameless King just felt Gwyn was wrong and was banished to ally with the dragons. _Midir is a holy dragon considered the protector of a fallen city much like a deity full of their sins, while Bayle was the ultimate terror who eventually brought end to the reign of dragons by directly assaulting Placidussax.
I think Pontiff should have used Rellanas instead of Mohgs, even though Mohgs fits his character better. Also Nameless has such a weird OST it's hard to find anywhere else.
@ really? Dancer is a really slow and methodical fight, so I thought that Metyr would fit it better maybe he even Midra. Rellana is that constant building up which is what Pontiff encapsulates as a fight. He goes higher and higher on craziness.
I don’t think Messmer works with Nameless king, his OST already works so well that I’m not sure what else could go with it. Maybe Divine Beast Dancing Lion, only because they have the same storm theme but I’m not sure

At first I didn't like ER's soundtrack because I thought it was too loud. From a thematic perspective, it makes sense that an epic journey like ER would inevitably feature epic and loud music, but it was, in my opinion, a jarring departure from traditional FromSoft OSTs that are much more emotional than action themes. Sulyvahn/Mohg and Midir/Bayle are good examples of this because both phase 2 parts of the ER tracks lose a lot of the definition phase 1 had and basically turns into loud action music. In contrast, Sulyvahn and Midir have comparatively mellow themes that focus more on the emotions of the characters in the fight rather than the scale of them. This isn't to say ER has a bad soundtrack, I just think it sounds a little bit bland at times (especially in the base game OST). Overall, I believe that once the composers got a feel for the characters and story they composed much better music, as evident in the DLC.
Elden ring soundtrack has much more complex structure and variety , Ds 3 is simple and derivative ( also all the osts has similar tone ) Bloodborne also simple but it is just the best especially for higher highs

Finally DS3 gets some good OSTs In all seriousness this just goes to show how each OST is custom tailored to a boss, switching them around makes each soundtrack feel out of place and a poor representation of the bossfight, this goes for all games irrespective of which OST is the best.
