The friends who helped Vietnam most were the Soviet Union, Cuba and Iraq. The US has failed before Cuba, so it should find all ways to smear and cause conflict and animosity. Cuba is under embargo, so it is extremely difficult for them. Vietnam has also gone through a period of being embargoed by the US, so it is extremely miserable because of poverty.
It's great when the friendship thinks that Vietnam - Cuba is still burning red. Admire the talent, great personality of P.Castro and CHE Guevara. Thank you Cuba for its great help to Vietnam during the war and the transfer of Covid vaccine technology to Vietnam.
May Cuba quickly stand up strong and rich and beautiful.

What a beautiful city! It makes me sad to see the buildings in that shape though - I imagine some day they will get torn down. It's a wonder those buildings are able to still stand with the condition they're in, they must have been built really well.

Hi there Zach, dropping by. I'm so glad you enjoyed walking with us through Havana. Yes we know what you mean, it's incredible to see the buildings still standing, as you say they must have been pretty solid to start with.

    • @Logoned

@@LivingWalks They can't tear it down, they should be maintaining it instead of patching and painting.
The whole area of Old Habana is a historic site declared World Heritage Wonder and is on the world heritage list by UNESCO so I guess since they can't legally demolish them, the communists are just letting the buildings crumble to build more new Hotels, that Cubans can't afford if they were allowed to enter. Cubans are not allowed in the Hotels unless they're working. Although they sometimes do, Cubans are not allowed to speak with or mingle with foreigners. They face heavy fines if caught.

When Batista was President, these buildings didn't look like that. Cuba was the only country next to France that had a boutique, from Christian Dior. Most celebrities would travel to Cuba instead of France, since France was a bit too far. Also, The Casinos, high end restaurants, and beautiful clear water beaches, which lured the rich and famous to Cuba. Now the country looks like crap. Communism at it's worse.
