That's exactly it. Yeon-jin is despicable but I love how she is portrayed. There are many moments she does great facial acting (is that what you call it?) and this is one of them. She's forcing herself to look intimidating because she thinks of herself as being high and mighty over Dong-eun but on the inside, you can tell she is afraid since the corner of her lips falters a bit.
I think Yeonjin is the perfect portraying of how bullies in general are. They have one thing they might be better at (money, clothes), but deep insidenthey feel afraid of being excluded
Doing drugs is illegal in Korea. That’s why Sara is freaking out. So is Gambling.
I love how excited they are about the revenge and the stress of the bullies lmao

4:22 Not because the nanny wasn't wearing Gucci but because her MIL clocked that the woman was thinking how unnecessary it was for the baby to be wearing a designer label she wouldn't even be able to fit in a month or so (she kind of shook her head in shock/disapproval when she heard grandma say it was the baby's first Gucci). Just goes to further highlight the differences in thinking and how disposable they believe those who do not fit into their world are.

7-8 yrs from when they first met, not last time they met. Remember they met before Spring of 2015. He has been texting her but she is not responding via text and this is the first time she texted him.
I mean, if yall wanna branch out to more kdramas on this channel, I won't be mad. A lot of channels have finally realized how good a lot of shows outside of a Hollywood, western viewpoint are. Especially kdramas, and some have even made it a staple in their reaction rotation.
Personally, I'd love to see you guys watch "Extraordinary Attorney Woo Young Woo" after this as a nice pallet cleanse. Only because most other popular kdramas (that I already know will be recommended) will also be pretty intense. Does'nt mean they're not good, I just know that sometimes you need a break from back to back intense shows.
And don't get me wrong, Woo Young Woo has its moments, but it's overall a joy to watch.

@jkjkjkburger oh flower of evil is really good too. I just wanted to recommend other kdramas that were more on the lighter side cause most of the popular kdramas are more "intense," and I just wanted to provide different options.
I'd suggest "Crash Landing on You" for a perfect blend of romance, comedy, action, and suspense.

Extraordinary Attorney Woo is terrific and I hope they react to it, Another one that is similar to The Glory that I really liked is D.P. , I don't think I've seen anyone react to it yet and it's so good. Kingdom is another one.
the humor is great in this and absolutely needed due to the harrowing nature of the drama. oh and btw, just in case you guys haven't figured this out yet: that opening scene of Dong-eun talking to Yeon-jin is just a fantasy, not to be taken literally. loving these reactions so much! ❤
There are so many other great K-Dramas out there.. "My Name", "Bloodhounds", "Taxy Driver", "The Uncanny Counter", "Revenge of Others" and "Weak Hero Class 1" are just a few of them..

Speaking about the kdramas you've been missing out on, i wish you guys can react to more kdramas in the future. Personally i think you'd really like My Name or Extraordinary Attorney Woo but i am fine with whatever you pick, i just really enjoy this content a lot, especially from you guys.
Just for the contrast, I think they should watch “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” or “Crash Landing on You.”
Moving, Pachinko, Vincenzo for me (but I would watch them react to Atty Woo as well)

"Sweet Home" might be a great idea for these guys. They like a bit of horror...and this one has that beauty in it.

I really recommend "signal"!! It's been a top K-drama among Koreans for a long time.
omg yes!!! Signal was my first kdrama!! It's been years but signal is still one of my favs. The male lead Lee Jehoon in that is well known for doing this type of genre.

I am thoroughly enjoying Blind Wave reactions to K-Dramas. The Glory is no doubt one of my favorites, along with Squid Game. Love to see you do more K-Dramas. I would love to see you guys react to more Kdramas! Extraordinary Attorney Woo would be an excellent choice for something radically different than the Glory. It's a feel good drama and has some really great acting and themes. I have to recommend Flower of Evil too- just one of my favorite dramas- it also has some fantastic acting and a really interesting story/premise.
Vincenzo is a must watch kdrama
The Lake House that people knew at the time was also a remake of a Korean movie. It's funny how the lake house comes to mind in one scene in The Glory.

Taxi Driver, Kingdom, Mr Sunshine, Flower Of Evil, Mr Queen, Signal, are among the best k-dramas that I would recommend.
A really great kdrama to react to is Revenant. It’s a horror and really well executed. Great acting.

*Sweet Home -- I love this & all 3 of its webtoon seasons were highlighted. So we'll have a 2nd and 3rd season.
*BigMouth/BigMouse -- I have never enjoyed trying to figure it out more!
*Island - was fun blending of religion.
*Tale of the Nine-Tailed -- this was AWESOME but it is HARD to stick with it half-way through the hour, until midway through season 1, then you're in it & you love every single moment. It's a weird phenomena that happened to my husband and myself but we LOVED it. If you like it then :

There are so many good kdramas that are amazing. I would recommend Weak Hero, My Name, Bloodhound, Vincenzo, and Alice in Borderland (this is Japanese but it's good it has similar vibes to squid game)

He started texting him 7 years ago and yes that was the last time they played go. He keeps on sending him messages every now and then but she never replied then they met on the train while Dong Eun was doing a tutor on her assistant/photographer daughter and that was just a month or 2 ago and that was the last time they see each other and so he gave his card number just to perhaps tell her where he is working now but obviously he kept his number.
Really hope you guys watch "Moving" next! It's another K drama series that I am pretty sure you guys will enjoy a lot.

I need u to do reactions on uncanny counter season 1 and season 2 as is already come to the end this week.
Even though I've watched it a million times I'm still confused about what that scene with Hyejeong and the other hostess was about
Hyejeong is being a bully, Making her junior trying out the clothes instead of doing it herself. And she get angry that her junior loose weight so she can''t see it properly on another body. She's making her junior match her weight. Or probably she make her junior buy the clothes first before she does or probably she just took it from the junior if she like it. It is not implicitly said in the scene. But it shows what a nightmare Hyejeong is to her junior.
REACT MOVING FROM DISNEY+ PLEASE 😂❤ KOREAN DRAMA WITH SUPERPOWERS
Jus like you guys this is my very first K drama, I have heard a lot of K drama's coz some of my friends and so I tied to watch a few, darn and I don't get it It's not just predictable but they way they make their so called K drama "love story" or "Mellodrama" they cant even show how to kiss properly man and the acting, not to mention the actors are more concerned how they look on camera rather than making sure they are doing a good job on their acting, the list goes on and on...they are so fixated with their looks! Really! But man oh man this one is definitely worth to watch and i wouldn't deny being a fan of this Drama! I'm glad the main character her (Song Hye Kyo) ditched her image to portray her character so well, even with out wearing make up (coz korean's are obsessed with their looks) and even sacrificed how she looks (went on diet to make her look tiny) on TV just to make sure she is her character and she did so, perfectly!
Can't wait for next ep.
