How people can dislike this? You don't search for Louis Amstrong just to dislike it...
That's I was thinking. You right.
Unless you hate everything in life
Well maybe they found it their recommendations and just... didn't like it?
Lukas Monastirsky Nop, still make no sense.
Antoine Vuillemenot Salut Antoine
UA-cam is a VIDEO channel.
If there is no video there should be some information about musicians and recording dates. Hence I did not put a like.
Since the music is so great (I have all on LPs) I also did not click a dislike.
Tommy Schibli
So talented.
- Plays the trumpet like a god (and sings too)
- Won the Tour de France
- And was the first man on the Moon!!!
Hats off.
Way too underated
Hey wait a minute.
WHAT??? LMAOOOOOO this better be a joke haha
@John Wheaton nah youre mistaken, neil was the first winning the tour, then after that, came louis, flying his rocket, and who was lance? XD This comment blew my hat off
And then the Headstrongs married them and then oh... well you know...
nothing best for a cold winter day, than a smooking cigarrete, a hot coffe and a little of jazz
Maybe if I could smoke than I might agree. I Mean, I'm only CLASSIFIED years old

If you are learning what Jazz is, starting with Louis Armstrong is the best way to know. If you are ending your study of Jazz and celebrating the sweet knowledge of having escalated to a very high standard of music, then ending with Louis Armstrong is best.
Your study of Jazz never really ends 😉
Hilderspilder99 This is true. Jazz is life and like life, Jazz is a complex, magical weave of notes, experiences, emotions and exploration. It's a journey of soul and thus infinite.
Ronald McReynolds i heard some of benny goodman he's pretty good too
No Pops, no Benny, no Miles, no Dizzy, no modern music as we know it today. I'm not exaggerating. He wasn't called Pops by musicians for nothing! If you study jazz you are studying an art form that was completely shaped by the great Satchmo. He was the single most influential musician of the 20th century. He was the first super star of the music world. He even gave us our modern vernacular. Don't believe me. Look into it.
Haha, so true. Especially after hearing Cory Henry's complex improvisations. Man, this just makes me appreciate the roots which grew into the ever-growing diverse jazz branches. Bebop is cool and all but just are these classics with punchy melodies.
I have never heard any of Louis Armstrong's masterpieces in my life till today and my ears just jumped of my head and started crying with joy.
Thanks Louis Armstrong

I've just experienced the exact same feeling. Thank you so much dear Louis Armstrong.

Imagine if someone listen to this masterpiece in 2024
Thanks for posting this!
Today is my dad's 102nd birthday and it was a great joy to be at the cemetery and playing this in his honor,.
The most joyful memory of my dad is, as a child waking up to Louis Armstrong on a Sunday morning , since it meant that he was in a good mood, and that was how he enjoyed it.
Louis Armstrong not only plays the Horns exceptionally, but his actual singing voice even has the texture of a Clarinet.
I think of Pete Fountain. The Man with a clarinet
I'm normally into rock music, but I have fell completely in love with Louis Armstrong after stumbling over this.Thank you.
I feel you.
Give Gunhild Carling a listen. Very talented and influenced by Armstrong.
zeer goed
Me too!!! :)
Me too!!
It's incredible being a metal lover and still be fond of this kind of awesome music
I'm the same man. I was listening to Cannibal Corpse earlier today and all of a sudden here I am.

Damn... Peste Noire rocks ass
Hard Core electronic here
I got this album in vinyl from a girl I used to date long time ago.
When my little girl was a baby she only fell asleep to this album
I think it is one of my all time favorite album
Amazing musician with amazing voice
memories... (:
I am in my 80s and have listened to this wonderful musician all my life. His music is a joy. I wish these audios also showed the man playing. His infectious smile and exorbitant body language are delightful and add richness to his music.
Замечательно сказано👍

Most favorite of all the great jazz giants, listening since the 60s makes me cry some time from just being able to enjoy such sweet stuff. Miss him. One of a kind.
he brings a tear of joy to me sometimes also. heaven sent.
This is the best blues and jazz I have ever heard.
he changed music worldwide
He's the only one who can make you smile in one of the saddest songs ever made.
morrissey is good at that to. not as good as louis ofc.
Armstrong isn't about music, he is about joy of life! Real stuff!)
As someone with epilepsy and has just had a major grand mal seizure the other day I can say, that when your in your first day or 2 of recovery the most you can really do without hurting your head just by moving it is to listen to music or podcasts. The podcast I typically listen to is having a Christmas break right now so I was kinda stuck to just listening to music. I almost exclusively listen to rap and rock and I just so happened to be listening at the time to an artist named Chris Webby and his song Pearly Gates and absolutely loved the actual real instruments that he used behind the vocals. I was reading the comments of the video and people were saying that what he used in the background was actually Louis Armstrong’s St James Infirmary, I decided to look up the original song and from there absolutely fell in love with his music. Ive been sitting here listening to this for well over an hour now. So I guess what I’m really trying to say is Thankyou for making amazing music that helps me get through dark periods in my life
A bientôt! félicitations!

Just now listening to this.................what fabulous music. I almost forgot!
:-)
I LOVE THIS KIND OF MUSIC!!!!!🌹💜🌹💜🌹💜🌹
When your tastes mature, you turn towards the greats.
This is the greatest.
The 94 dislikes are immature, impatient, people ...
***** nah man if you dont like something just dont say anything at all. He's right, this is pure classics
***** oh! we got a hater lol
***** You did not say if you liked or dis-liked Louis Armstrong, you merely expressed that everyone has a right to their own opinion ... is that correct ?
Doesnt an opinion say more about the listener then the artist, if people disrespect an artist who worked so hard and is so talented, that tells me that they dont know shit about music ( exept for Miles Davis of course, he has the full right to critisize anyone ;)
Mike Boldi You should tell my sister that.
She said this makes her throw up, and shes fucking older than me. xD
I bought this very album as a cut-out in the summer of '64!! Not yet 15 yrs old at the time.
Undoubtedly best acquisition ever.
Here are the missing credentials:
Louis Armstrong - trumpet, Peanuts Hucko - clarinet, Trummy Young - trombone, ...
Billy Kyle - piano, Mort Herbert - bass, Danny Barcelona - drums.
great musice of all time take me back to my teenager days

意味はわからないけど前から聞きたかった懐かしい歌声で声も楽器の一部のような感じがします、聞いていると、😌🌸💓幸せを感じます。
The true testament to his greatness is the mere fact that his praises come in many languages and from every country around the world!
Agreed. Even 50 years after his demise.
I became a fan from E Pakistan now Bangladesh in the sixties.

Sadly we're repeating the horrors he lived in. Great music though.
It's gonna be rough goin for a while. But maybe we'll get some good tunes.

I'm listening first time Louis. I'm reading this book called Junky by a writer William S. Burroughs. This book leads me here and what can i say i'm having great times with both Louis and William. Thank you both.
My grandad used to blast Louis Armstrong music in the kitchen when he was cooking and we used to sing our hearts out (didn't matter if we were in tune or not.) Those were the days. Miss ya, Gramps. :')
Classy music with no adds to ruin the groove, I like it

Que suerte la de tu padre!!
Dichoso tu padre que tuvo esa gran fortuna, Louis Armstrong fué uno de los talentosos que fundaron las bases de tan bella música
Una suerte tan grande 😁

Greetings and a lot of love from India
My friend ad an uncle who was in Louis Armstrong's band. He either played trumpet or saxophone. I can't remember. But he played with Louis and said after the shows, people in the audience would buy him all the drinks he wanted. Ahhh, the life of a Jazz musician...
stan broniszewski that’s cool
Love those solos. All that we have now comes from our fathers in music. Mack the Knife was probably one of the first story about violence and death in the community. Hip Hop doesn't even name names like Louis does. Thanks Louis, love it and you man.
one of the top best!

They're is only one man that has a voice like this no one can compare or be anything like him
Barry White too
Yes! But later check out Elza Soares. Louis Armstrong met her and called her his daughter. Her voice is also very unique and hoarse

I played this last night while having a relaxing much needed spa night. I used an under eye mask, lit a candle and turned off the lights. It was heavenly.
I love jazz because in school me and my best friend were partnered to research about it and we fell in love with jazz and he left the school so everytime I listen to jazz I think about him! 💜
Someone playing with a clarinet on my right ear, a sax or a trumpet on top of my head, and another trombone on my left ear?! XD I like this
