If there is no video there should be some information about musicians and recording dates. Hence I did not put a like.
Since the music is so great (I have all on LPs) I also did not click a dislike.

If you are learning what Jazz is, starting with Louis Armstrong is the best way to know. If you are ending your study of Jazz and celebrating the sweet knowledge of having escalated to a very high standard of music, then ending with Louis Armstrong is best.

Hilderspilder99 This is true. Jazz is life and like life, Jazz is a complex, magical weave of notes, experiences, emotions and exploration. It's a journey of soul and thus infinite.

No Pops, no Benny, no Miles, no Dizzy, no modern music as we know it today. I'm not exaggerating. He wasn't called Pops by musicians for nothing! If you study jazz you are studying an art form that was completely shaped by the great Satchmo. He was the single most influential musician of the 20th century. He was the first super star of the music world. He even gave us our modern vernacular. Don't believe me. Look into it.

Haha, so true. Especially after hearing Cory Henry's complex improvisations. Man, this just makes me appreciate the roots which grew into the ever-growing diverse jazz branches. Bebop is cool and all but just are these classics with punchy melodies.

Today is my dad's 102nd birthday and it was a great joy to be at the cemetery and playing this in his honor,.
The most joyful memory of my dad is, as a child waking up to Louis Armstrong on a Sunday morning , since it meant that he was in a good mood, and that was how he enjoyed it.

Doesnt an opinion say more about the listener then the artist, if people disrespect an artist who worked so hard and is so talented, that tells me that they dont know shit about music ( exept for Miles Davis of course, he has the full right to critisize anyone ;)

I bought this very album as a cut-out in the summer of '64!! Not yet 15 yrs old at the time.
    Undoubtedly best acquisition ever.
    Here are the missing credentials:
Louis Armstrong - trumpet, Peanuts Hucko - clarinet, Trummy Young - trombone, ...
Billy Kyle - piano, Mort Herbert - bass, Danny Barcelona - drums.

As someone with epilepsy and has just had a major grand mal seizure the other day I can say, that when your in your first day or 2 of recovery the most you can really do without hurting your head just by moving it is to listen to music or podcasts. The podcast I typically listen to is having a Christmas break right now so I was kinda stuck to just listening to music. I almost exclusively listen to rap and rock and I just so happened to be listening at the time to an artist named Chris Webby and his song Pearly Gates and absolutely loved the actual real instruments that he used behind the vocals. I was reading the comments of the video and people were saying that what he used in the background was actually Louis Armstrong’s St James Infirmary, I decided to look up the original song and from there absolutely fell in love with his music. Ive been sitting here listening to this for well over an hour now. So I guess what I’m really trying to say is Thankyou for making amazing music that helps me get through dark periods in my life

If all world governments dedicated themselves, to the arts including music, dance, sculpture, painting, and so on w`d have a better world, since people who play, sing, dance, and paint, are happier and more productive, which would lead to general sustained, and sustainable development BLESSING

Louis in Stereo!!! Yeah!!I saw him with this AllStars several times back in the day--in Davenport Iowa--the Capitol Theatre! He was unique--nothing but music in his bones--and his lip! He even basically invented scat and always made you smile when he sang--such expression in that signature sound(s)!!! RIP with King
