      Speaking of bikes that went away.. anyone remember the black line? I think that what it was called. It only came out for a few years. They weren't known as the greatest bikes, they had some weird parts on it that were expensive and exclusive to that bike only. I think the bars were weird or somethin.. maybe the front wheel too? I'm not 100% sure...I can't remember exactly. I think it pretty much had a sportster front end but fucked up bars that didn't fit a sporty, if that makes sense ..idk. I haven't even thought about that bike in years but the comment randomly made me think of it right now...but thankfully these bikes seem to be pretty decent and popular, so I don't think they'll go away anytime soon but you never know with Harley I guess...

Head on swivel check your six and always leave a way out.😂

    As a former Nightster owner, it has some quirks. Just tap the start button (not hold it down) as you will foul the plugs, let it complete it start up cycle as it may cause a check engine light which is to remind you to let it complete its full cycle (have dealership show you how to clear the code-very easy), and there is a heat shield for the right side of the bike. Use only full synthetic oil (I like Motul 20W50). If you every have a software error where the bike will not start, unplug the main fuse, wait 30, reinstall the fuse and try again ( hopefully Harley Davidson has fixed this bug. This bike is very fast in Sport mode. Install a crash guard and have fun🤪

      I own a lemon just like yours, I had no luck with the no start issue it only gets worse every time they try to upgrade the software, nice bike, if Harley Davidson service owns up to something they can't fix, it's a lemon, at least the one I own, bike sucks and so does their service, I'm currently looking into buying a Indian motorcycle instead

    • @CheatFight
      @CheatFight 5 місяців тому

      I was having this issue and took it to my dealer. They did a software update and I no longer have this issue. But yeah, it was a pretty shitty issue. I was at some parking lot and my bike wouldn't start. I saw a video on youtube, prior, so I knew to pull the first white plug up in the handle bar and it just started right up after that. Not something you want to deal with if you are all alone way the hell away from home and nothing on you.

    Truly this and the low rider S are the only HD motorcycles I would even consider. Leaning more towards this nightster, I ride a lot in high traffic daily. Air cooled bikes just are not the vibe anymore. I’m not a huge fan of the sportster s because of the ergonomics. But this little ripper has enough power, it’s got the motorcycle look. I rode my buddies to work for two weeks this summer. And was highly impressed.

I also saw one on Instagram a German girl rides that looks like it has the pan ams whole front suspension. forks, wheel etc. it even has pan am crash bars and fog lights on it. The revmax bikes might be crazy interchangeable with parts.

    I owned a softail for 4 months before I traded it back in. They are great riding bikes for solo casual riding. They SUCK ASS as a 2-up bike. I could not imagine anyone owning one for stunts.
    The Dyna... ❤... total love. My first Harley was a Dyna. I traded it in 4 years ago. Then, this last week, I ended up buying it back. When I traded it in I could not afford 2 bikes otherwise it would have never left. I am so happy to have the bike back. It is not another bike like my Dyna. It is MY Dyna that I had previously traded it and was lucky enough to get back, almost completely unchanged, amd with only 2k more miles on it. Super stoked. To top it off, the last guy put cams in it. 😁
    Now, having been on a test ride of the 975 Nightster, there is no damn good reason that bike needed a 6 speed. The little bastard is mental.

Even if they like it, they have to say they hate it, just like the opposite side where even if they hate something, they say they love it, just to fit in with trends. Whatever happened to not giving a fuck about what anyone thinks and openly liking whatever the hell you want? Isn't that technically more non conforming than anything? Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what he turns it into...but even it's completely badass, there will still inevitably be people talking shit about it.. I have several motorcycles and I get the alure of the old school Harley. Clunky transmission, noisy engine, loud and hot AF at stop lights in the summer. The newer ones are a little smother @ idle but still have a lot of character. My Gold Wing is hands down a better motorcycle but lacks any character at all. If I need dependability and comfort for a long ride I'll take the Honda but if I want to ride what I consider to be a real motorcycle I'll ride the Harley. At 64 years old I just won't ride the Harley very far at a time but i still feel like a bad ass when I do.

    Hey Ryan, if you haven’t already, check out the HD switchback seat. It’s step up style and works with the whole fuel under the seat thing. Corbin also makes a nice one with a smuggler truck. Can’t wait to see the suspension stuff! I combined that switchback seat with the 1.5” riser from Bung King on mine and the ergos are just perfect now!!

My concern is the ability to untangle and separate out the code for the controls so I can fix up my bike like I want without having to go to the dealer for a flash after I bleed the dang brakes. Even if there was a keyboard and debugger attached to the bike, or a smartphone app, I can barely run a 3D modeler for work and god forbid I need to edit the register in my PC. How the heck can you adjust something in Harley's proprietary software that we don't have access to or documentation for? I don't think there is even a tuner on the market for it. If there is please let me know.
