Don't worry it's supposed to happen. It's called decel pop and it's when the engine feeds fresh air into the exhaust to burn any unburned fuel which helps with emissions
Best sounding bike I've heard in years!!! Just when I thought all hope was lost, I came across your channel. Been out of the bike scene for many years, just recently started taking an interest again. No idea, but seems to me you've given this Trident a signifent performance boost? Keep the video's coming mate🍻
Thank you so much for your kind comment mate, that really means a lot. let me know if there's anything else you'd want to see on the channel. I've got some good videos in the works so I hope you like those. I think the sound of my bike is definitely getting people interested in it, but even without my videos I think you'll start to see a lot more Tridents about in the coming years :)
woow i am currently learning bike lesson so i can get the license in france and boyyyyyyyyy i loved this moto before i saw your videos... now i NEED this bike ^^ thanks for the videos and the butterfly effect lol
Brilliant mate hope that all goes well for you and glad you’re enjoying the videos! I really recommend the Trident 660 it’s a great bike and looks and sounds amazing.
I think the audio is mainly coming from the right speaker. Good footage and sensible distance when you see other vehicles. Anyway how are you enjoying your trident? Good bike? Triples make a lovely sound.
The right speaker when you’re listening to it? I’ll have to look into that. Appreciate your comment mate. And yeah I’m loving the trident it’s the perfect blend of everything. You could easily commute on it but also have great fun on the weekends with your friends. I feel comfortable using it year round whereas the speed triple I only ride in good conditions. I would like the get a street triple rs though
I’d say it depends on your neighbours. The cold start is quite loud but once the revs drop which does happen quite quickly it’s not too bad. I think if you were leaving early for work or whatever then keeping the baffle in would be the play 👍
It's a really fun ride, but the fear of an animal crossing this trail because of the bush and houses is terrible. Only those who have been through this know
@@cinnamonchallenge1030 I’d say the Street Triple R and RS is more comparable to the MT09 than the Trident. The Trident is a great bike but if you’re looking at an MT09 I’d look more towards the Street Triple R and RS as well as the MT09 SP 👍
Great video! Thank you. I have a Trident and have been considering the Zard. Are you wearing ear plugs? If yes - how loud is it for you on the bike? Too loud?
Hi mate, really glad you enjoyed the video :) In my opinion I think the Zard is the best option for the Trident. I do wear ear plugs on the longer / faster rides, I have the Alpine Motosafe Pros. They help a lot to reduce higher Db sounds. It will help with hearing your intercom / music better wearing earplugs because it reduces a lot of that wind noise, but you can still hear things around you and the bike
@@agooddadandadirtbike7149 no none of the above but all stuff I’m interested in doing at some point. The only performance mod on the bike is the exhaust everything else is cosmetic 👍
Hey man, great riding! I have a 660 and want to start making content like this, do you mind sharing your audio setup to capture the engine note without wind buffeting?
Hi mate, I’m using a Zoom H5 but I’ve heard good things about the Zoom H1n and H2n. I record in stereo at wav 48khz 24 bit. I set my gain level between 2-3 for the trident and add a compressor and limiter when I’m editing. For wind just get a windscreen to put over the mic and I store my mic on my back in a bag so my body blocks the wind as well 👍
Do you also have a video of quicksifter without the exhaust ? I wanna hear the difference bust most of the videos don't have good sound quality like yours
Not really mate any increase in performance that you do get is quite minimal. I think with the throttle response an ecu tune seems to be the best shout. That’s the next thing I’m doing to the bike. I’m going to get the tune from DNK.
Nice video. Bike sounds amazing. I've been interested in the Baha version but hear the breaks kinda suck over all. What's your experience with them so far?
In this video I had Michelin Road 5s. But since then I’ve tried Power 5s and in the warmer months I’ll be putting Power 6s on my bike because I liked them for faster riding. For now though in the colder / wetter months I’ve got Road 6s 👍
4:43 Everyone stopped to see the Ford.🔥🔥 BTW I think you are shooting in Wide angle and then cropping the video cause I feel like the speed in the video is a little too fast than real life. No hate Just putting my thoughts Feel free to rectify me.❤
Hi mate, I'm not shooting in the widest GoPro setting but I am filming in superview just because it gives the best POV look but there is no cropping. The reason the video feels fast is because the shutter speed and fps is low which makes in look more cinematic but you do get a lot of motion blur so I am going to experiment with a slightly higher shutter speed to give it a more natural look 👍
No this is the one from triumph it’s an additional extra on this bike, some bikes from them come with it standard. Also triumphs quickshifters are really good, I got to ride the speed triple 1200 not too long ago and it was super smooth on that bike 👍
@SebEastersBikes oh that's nice to hear... I read in some forum that people complained that the quickshifter in their bike being a bit clunky. Might have needed some fine tuning
Beautiful countryside, beautiful road. Such great sound from the triple and Zard.
It really is the Zard exhaust is amazing. Hope you're enjoying the videos :)
Agreed. That sound and the scenery... exquisite 👌
Love the Zard on my 660. I'm 68 y/o and back riding sportier than the last 30 years on cruiser bikes.
Glad to hear that mate! How’re you finding the trident you enjoying it?
im glad im not the only one that has a Trident 660 that Burbles at a low speed. I thought i was alone
ECU re-flash would fix that.
Don't worry it's supposed to happen. It's called decel pop and it's when the engine feeds fresh air into the exhaust to burn any unburned fuel which helps with emissions
Safe and steady riding, loved it! Lovely sound though.
Cool video man, Wow that trident really moves!
Thank you mate I really appreciate that. And yeah it's a nippy little bike for sure
Rode on of these a couple years ago. Didn’t sound this good . That exhaust is bloody amazing!!🎉 subscribed
Many thanks mate really appreciate that 👍 and yeah the exhaust makes a big difference I personally think factory exhaust are maybe a little too quiet
those green tunnels, so satisfying!
Sure are mate!
Sound therapy
😁😁
Ive got a GPR exaust on my 660 and sounds just like this, the triple has a unique and quite beautiful sound when its un-corked
It really does mate and people seem to love the triple sound with an exhaust

Beautiful exhaust note. Can you sneak out of your neighborhood if you keep the revs low? I leave for work at 530am.

This has been my greatest fear.
Yeah and I’ve had so many cars pull out of hidden driveways on roads like this without looking.
Sensacional parabéns 👏
Many thanks
Nice place for a ride. And the sound of the three and Zard ❤ ! did you removed the db killer ?
Yeah I have mate I’ve taken the baffle out. Luckily it seems police in the UK don’t mind 😂

Does the Zard exhaust (besides sound) offer anything in the low-to-mid range performance or throttle response?

No mirrors needed?
In the UK it’s not a legal requirement. I take the bar end mirrors off to record because I think it looks better. It also helps with filtering.
is the quickshifter oem or after market? No way triumph's quickshifter is so crisp
