countrygirl country musiclover Have you listened to todays country music? lol. a lot of people fell out of love with it because it's lost it's way. It doesn't sound like country music should sound but Midland has kept that sound from the 80's and 90's which is why they are so beloved. But judging by your other comments you don't feel that way. Rapping (Sam Hunt) and having a fake country twang doesn't make you a country artist lol. It's lost all it's electric guitars and fiddles. It's manufactured by a computer now and has NONE of that sound that Midland has kept. Dude has the voice and they kept the beloved country sound.
I LOVE this whole album...you won't believe me but that's all I've listened to for weeks straight! I love the true country with that 70's feel. Thank you for keeping real music alive. Much love from Midland/Odessa Tx. ...you guys are great 💙💙💙
waterdiamond9 To be completely honest, I don’t really get a 70’s vibe at all from this. If you’re really looking for that, try the tune “I’ll just take these” by Dwight Yoakam. That whole album is actually good. Or the track “Yet To Succeed” Dwight is a mastermind

Never listened to country before, but I was at a Golden Nugget ( A 24hr. Chicago diner), and this was playing on the radio. I can not deny great music. I’m glad for Shazam because you can feel the emotion and passion that went into this song. We’ve all been through this before, it’s so relatable.
When I wrote this, there were about 400 comments and I didn't see one praising the cinematographer. That is a damn skilled stedicam operator! Wonder how many takes/rehearsals it took to get this thing done. Beautifully shot.
Dillon Schneider was the DP and Collin MacDonnell was the steadicam operator. Really great people to work with. We rehearsed the movements for a few hours after our camera prep to nail down the action and spent the first half of the next day working camera movements and then shot maybe 9 or so takes.
@Brian Aichlmayr Very cool. Thanks for the feedback. Dillon Schneider and Collin MacDonnell? Impressive work. And I see you're an assistant camera operator? Yeah, you guys deserve a lot of praise. This is one of the better single-shots I've ever seen. Dillon did an astounding job with the lighting. The fact the focal characters are perfectly lit, 90% of the time, in a dark bar, is impressive as hell.
Just seen them live in uk, fantastic they have saved country music with their wonderful authentic country sound! One of best gigs ive seen in forty years.
They don't make it like this anymore I mean seriously what's happening to country music nowadays with sam hunt type shit with hip hop genre behind it and what about Jason aldean with that metal crap behind it and they consider it country music because they talk twangy but seriously let's get back to "COUNTRY MUSIC"

countrygirl country musiclover Have you listened to todays country music? lol. a lot of people fell out of love with it because it's lost it's way.
Agree
D H and also Chris Stapleton 😀
That's a belt buckle polishing song! :)
Midland has made me love country music and definitely would pay to see them in concert.
I love Midland, great music!
no one commenting on how this is a single shot? freaking awesome.
farmertoad75 shit they still sound good so who gives a crap
Good eye shit was awesome
@@AmishHitman73.Archive Randy Travis' last name is actually not Travis, therefore his music is bad.
@@AmishHitman73.Archive and your neither amish or a hit man... to make real music dosent mean you hafta actually be the part 🙄
the 1917 of music videos. Genuinely blew my mind when I first saw it.
I miss these days !!!!! When a good two step and a cold beer cured everything !!!
It still does in Texas
It still does in Texas and Billy Bobs!
It does darling!!! We get it all the time in Chiloquin, Ore.
And still does😉

I LOVE this whole album...you won't believe me but that's all I've listened to for weeks straight! I love the true country with that 70's feel. Thank you for keeping real music alive. Much love from Midland/Odessa Tx. ...you guys are great 💙💙💙
waterdiamond9 AYEEEE😎 Most definitely!! Lots of love from Midland/Odessa!!
waterdiamond9 To be completely honest, I don’t really get a 70’s vibe at all from this. If you’re really looking for that, try the tune “I’ll just take these” by Dwight Yoakam. That whole album is actually good. Or the track “Yet To Succeed” Dwight is a mastermind
I've had it in my truck for weeks! Takes me back to what country music used to be.
Saaameee
waterdiamond9 whoooo hoooo odessa/midland....im missing my 2 fav peeps from there 💜❤
These guys should have a number of CMA awards racked up already .These guys are awesome this music is what country music is all about rock on Midland
Honestly, the whole album was pretty damn good, so they can just pick and choose whatever song they want to make a vid to and it’ll be 🔥 good stuff.
David Ortiz Agreed, I love the whole album 🖒🖒❤
True
David Ortiz out of sight next!!
Exactly!
They have not made a bad song yet in my opinion , well electric rodeo was good it just didn't make any sense to me 😂
Love the fiddle and steel guitars. Sounds like a 90’s song.
Watchin' cigarettes burn out
'Til all the neon gets turned out
I was so on fire for you it hurts how
Fast a cigarette can burn out
Just watchin' rivers run
Down the side of my bottle
Almost like it's cryin' my tears
Had the world on a string
And then I lost everything
And that's how I wound up here
Watchin' cigarettes burn out
'Til all the neon gets turned out
There's nothing left but empty glasses now
It's all flashes now
Smokin' memory that ain't nothin' but ashes
In the low lights
These done-me-wrong songs hit me so right
I was so on fire for you it hurts how
Fast a cigarette can burn out
If you put your hands on the flame
You've got no right to complain
'Cause you know it's gonna leave a mark
When the glow comes to an end
Like scattered embers in the wind
Leaves you lookin' for a brand new spark
Watchin' cigarettes burn out
Now with every hit
I'm gonna quit
But who am I kiddin'?
I just can't put you down
So I keep hangin' around
Watchin' cigarettes burn out
'Til all the neon gets turned out
There's nothing left but empty glasses now
It's all flashes now
Smokin' memory that ain't nothin' but ashes
In the low lights
These done-me-wrong songs hit me so right
I was so on fire for you it hurts how
Fast a cigarette can burn out
I was so on fire for you it hurts how
Fast a cigarette can burn out
I like the part
"If you put your hands of the flame...."
Thanks😄
Thank you.
Love this song..and definitely would love that bar!
Favorite band out there, these guys sound just as good live and they are some down to earth dudes. I also owe mark for sending me a video that helped me ask my girl out to senior prom! Great song and vid
These guys are amazing.
Love the steel guitars and fiddle. 90’s sound like Alan Jackson and George Strait! This song should take off when they put it in the radio.
reptarbmx HOT!
Ikr
reptarbmx yep
reptarbmx h
Did anyone notice they were at Billy bobs right here in ft worth TX?
Again in June!
Yeah I saw that too
Caroline Estopinal yessir!
Yes...but they took the billy bobs name off the sign.
Yup
This video has such an Urban Cowboy feel and I am here for it! These guys make REAL country music. Love, love, love them!
Send me your #, thanks
Never listened to country before, but I was at a Golden Nugget ( A 24hr. Chicago diner), and this was playing on the radio. I can not deny great music. I’m glad for Shazam because you can feel the emotion and passion that went into this song. We’ve all been through this before, it’s so relatable.
I honestly feel like i walked into a time machine and sent back n tha 70's...and i love it..👊✌
When you walk into Billy Bob's I feel like I stepped back into '83
Thx Midland. Real country song. I wish this life came back like it use to be.
Tracey Smith it never will. But we can only hope. Yeehaw
Yeah life stays in the same
I predict it will come back. Texas as a whole should play a huge part. The entire state will pick it up.
The singer has an amazing voice.
This album is Country Western Gold 🌟🎸🎙🎻🌟
If you’re listening in 2024 I can confirm you got a good taste in music
Yes I do
Dam right
Yup
Fuck I’m only listening to this in 2019. Guess that makes me a no taste, no swag, fowl faced loser :(
Si
When I wrote this, there were about 400 comments and I didn't see one praising the cinematographer.
That is a damn skilled stedicam operator! Wonder how many takes/rehearsals it took to get this thing done. Beautifully shot.
InkShard I'm sure it took a lot of rehearsal with all the moving parts, but amazingly this was shot in just ONE take.
Dillon Schneider was the DP and Collin MacDonnell was the steadicam operator. Really great people to work with. We rehearsed the movements for a few hours after our camera prep to nail down the action and spent the first half of the next day working camera movements and then shot maybe 9 or so takes.
@Brian Aichlmayr
Very cool.
Brian Aichlmayr Hell of a job man. That was very impressive.
big time lighting and moves...
Nothing like some good old Midland fishing and beer 🍺
This song brought back a memory that, I'll cherish for as long as I can.
I love that bit at the end when he comes off the stage and invites her to dance all while still singing the song, this is wholesome Country!
These boys have the juice!
Just seen them live in uk, fantastic they have saved country music with their wonderful authentic country sound! One of best gigs ive seen in forty years.
These guys are awesome classic with a lil twang still using the good ol steel guitar singin frim the heart and most can relate ik i do
Best band in country now....love em
This is the first video I saw from Midland and have not looked back since - what a sensational band they are!
Midland: “hold my beer we are going to make real Country music”
Shit they held there beer and still made it
fuck yeah
Not even a fan of country but I heard this and it was one of the times you can't deny greatness. Real recognizes real good music.
John pardi accomplished that no more than an hour ago bud
They don't make it like this anymore I mean seriously what's happening to country music nowadays with sam hunt type shit with hip hop genre behind it and what about Jason aldean with that metal crap behind it and they consider it country music because they talk twangy but seriously let's get back to "COUNTRY MUSIC"
Midland, Billy Bob's and a cold Shiner...there's a great weekend, NO that's a perfect weekend!
Thank God for Texas
Who thinks Midland's gonna save country music?🙋🏼♂️
Jon Pardi and Luke Combs too!
@@JeanetteRG27 that's exactly who I thought of too
Saw them they are fabulous !!! Man there is hope for Country Music!
Them and Jon Pardi
Jon Pardi will too!
Love this bar!
Best thing in country music right now
Matt G ONE of the many bests
I'm debating I just watched this for the first time I liked it from the start so I played it again and now I'm wondering if I should another time. Jk this isn't a debate I definitely will
These guys and Brothers Osborne are my favs
I like darius, but Midlands a m9nster group.
That’s a lie
Dang, MIDLAND you guys are killing it brothers, don't stop rocking fellas this is a GREAT song and well written....
While watching this I felt like Bud n Sissy was gonna dance across the screen at any moment!!
Hell yes!
Epic Comment , Someone ought to edit a clip of the movie with this song.
Lol, yes!😊
Yes 😍🥰
Excellent ce clip de Midland l’avoir tourné avec une seul caméra et sans coupure je trouve ça génial la réalisation de cette vidéo
Playing at Billy Bobs in Texas. This is awesome.
Cole win whaaat i thought this looked familiar. Billy bobs is legend
They have a behind the scene video of this music video on their Facebook page. You should check it out, it shows the bar, and everything!
jessica martinez thanks I’ll have to check that out!
Going to see them there June 2
I thought that was gillys from urban cowboy. Jk😎
Reminds me of Old School George Straight, love it.
That's George Strait,Paul!(turn in your country music lovers badge)!
Cary Brown I am sorry I always thought I had a pretty good ear I always thought this was George strait singing IT is not Please clarify I’m confused
Yeah I liked it allright allright
2:40 that was absolutely the smoothest shit I have ever seen. Had the guitar on his back and ready 😂
Like country homie 💪🏽😎💪🏽 🤔 Little Troy! 🤓 😦😬😆
Shit son smarter then most people 🙌🏽🙏🏽
Man I wish I was that smooth, and had the mustache to
I'm 57 year's old and I must say that y'all are my favorite band at this time. Too notch in my opinion.
it sucks
I love this song! I'm obsessed with the album!!
More than a Fever or Lonely for You needs to come out next!
Great COUNTRY album for sure!
"More than a Fever" sounds great as next video!
Old school baby! Great tune by Midland!! Love it!
Still one of my all time favourite videos and songs 💕
Always love the little elbow bump at the end of the bridge 2:12 that sets up the last act of the video.
The way country should be and used to be..
Blinky Pinky Inky and Clyde NO BITCH IT'S THE WAY COUNTRY STILL CURRENTLY SOUNDS. NO USED TO BE ABOUT IT DUMB ASS. HOW THE HELL IS IT USED TO SOUND WHEN IT STILL CURRENTLY SOUNDS LIKE THIS
chill out. these boys sound like george strait or keith whitley and that's something we don't hear anymore. all we hear on the radio nowadays is pop disguised as country and they're ending that.
You need to take a chill pill, stop being a rude ass and accept that your opinion is not the only one.
That countrygirl chick has been shoving her opinion down everybodys throats on this video. Must be a young one because no sane adult human being would be that rude and pathetic over opinions lol.
xSevenDevilsx she blasted me on one of Midland's other videos. Obviously another one of these pathetic millenials who think only their opinions matter. Rude, ignorant and self absorbed.
I’m still waiting on 14 gears to come out on Apple Music!! I need it!
Jaxon Rickman why they haven't released it as at least a single is beyond baffling, it's their best song.
Jaxon Rickman that and gettin the feel
Because it wasn't written by Shane McAnally. He's the music writer and puppet master behind Midland.
They already have a video for 14 gears. Look it up on here.
Justin Humphries he means on iTunes. I would love for it to come out on iTunes so I don’t have to actually be stuck on UA-cam
This was the best free concert ive ever been to I won some concert tickets off the radio. Took my wife down there and we had us one great time. This band keeps the concert live there's never a boring moment.
Great taste
I saw them in concert in 2019 I WAS like a little kid so excited.. Their live show doesn't disappoint
I love everything about this song needs to be on radio 🎸❤🎸
This band is going to save country music
I hope & pray they do!!
Yes they will
yea...so was jamey johnson. sturgill simpson chris stapleton etc. im thankful they exsist. but unfortunatly there is no saving the corprate nashville brian wash pop bro country trend .
still cant beleive this is on the radio.
William Nimbach...
Preach On...Preach On...Preach on...
Finally a group that don't look or sound like a COOKIE-CUTTER, BRO-POP, PRETTY BOY BUNCH OF TRASH.
Maybe real country music is not dead.
I love them!❤
They nailed the fishnet-shirt-guy douche part. Awesome video. So cool to see Billy Bobs in another vid.
Love all the songs this band does ..they are great
Saw this on TV a couple years back, loved it but fell asleep. Was like 2 am lol. Forgot the name of it and could only but remember the rhythm and loved it. Glad I found it again, one day while I thought of it the word “Midland” just came to mind as a distant memory. Love ya.
I love everything about this band. Also the only band that makes a movie on their songs.
Any Time / Any Place ...
A For-EVER Classic !
This song definitely deserved a video and a fine one it got! Thanks guys!
Mountain Dweller I see you on every upchurch video
Agree. I'm patiently waiting for the More Than a Fever video.. Hope it's next!
Jessie Jones guilty as charged Ma'am! lol! #RHEC!
Mountain Dweller i love these guys! MIDLAND!!!
Trudy Ballein They're definitely one of the best out there making new music! From the songs to the great harmony down to even there style they are awesome! It's nice to finally see them getting airtime and even some awards. These guys definitely deserve it and have really worked hardpaying there dues so I'm glad to see it finally paying off for them. Best wishes Ma'am and you have a great day...
The "good" country kicks ass from the beginning and never ends. Even after decades these guys will be a hit on the jukebox!
Love everything they do and stand for... bringing country twang and they drawl back!!! Love them!

Love this song 🎵
The first time I heard this song I knew it was was a hit. The perfect 2 stepping song! Country was back! ❤
