That bad boy looked ruff and worn out but you made it look almost new and cut like butter. Glad you feeling better, prayer for Yuvonca 🙏I hope she gets better soon.
@@ourkentuckyhome771 great saw buddy 👍, I've just got a new 565, loads of low down torque and long useful powerband through the revs, prefer it to my 572xp, that just hits full chat straight away 🤣 🇺🇸🇬🇧
The piston and cylinder were fine, which surprised me actually. You are correct on the air filter, was the same cheap junk on my 562xp when I got it. They do make upgrade filter for 562xp.
The 550 is a great saw! I’ve owned the 545/550/550mk2 but still like the 346 better. I build and port saws and out of all the saws I’ve had the 346/359&372 is the ones I’ve kept
This is the 1st 550 I've got ahold of, I'm really surprised how snappy it is and the torque for a smaller cc is really nice. I had a 359 for years and it was a work horse. My 562 has taken its place now.
@@ourkentuckyhome771 I’ve ran a lot of 550/555/562 working for Asplundh! Really good saws as long as you don’t run them really hard. The nylon cage isn’t very strong in the bearings
What did you have in the spray bottle? Soap and water? 409? Simple green? She cleaned up very nice!!! Have you heard that Husqvarna is supposed to stop making gas powered equipment and "go green" by switching battery power? My Local Lowe's and TSC have their stock marked down quite a bit! I think Lowe's has a new 545XP for a little over $500.
Barry, I use Awsome and Purple Power from dollar general. It works fantastic and much less than simple green. I have heard Husqvarna is going green with lawn mowers, hadn't heard anything about all their saws. I'm super impressed with the power and speed of the 550xp. I have ported muffler on the way along a few other goodies for it. Going to try to restore as close to original looks as possible.
Honestly I couldn't tell you why, unless it's due to being small husky mount? I know it's .325 vs 3/8. I've never used a small mount with anything over 20" I'm not sure you can even get a husky bar and chain in .325. Just my thoughts. Thanks for watching
How old is this saw? If anybody can get this thing shining, it will be you!!! Wow!! That’s impressive!!! It’s funny when you rev it up it sounds like it’s saying “Liar liar!!” Maybe I was hearing things.🤔
Actually I seen the I D plate but didn't bother to look at manufacture date. I will look at it tomorrow. Oh I'm just getting started on the restoration, I just knocked the grime off it. Now comes the fun part. Making it look as good as it runs.

Thanks John Ray, I am feeling some better. Yuvonca has the same thing I came down with last week. God bless brother 🙏
It's turned out very cleaned and it looks a good machine original 👌 new friend here stay connected my friend
Oh my! Forgot to say God bless you two!!
God bless you Sara and thanks for watching.
Nice find. And now it has some love. That is the size I can handle. You made it look new again.
Thanks Beverly, amazing what a little soap and water can do.
Nice!!! Liked#1 and subscribed!!!
Looks a lot cleaner, nice job!!
Thanks, it's going to get a pretty good restoration before long. God bless
Good stuff buddy, she defo had a hard run, plenty life in that 550 though gota love how sharp they pick up revs 😁, 100% a keeper.
Yes, I love the way the 550 comes to life.

What was the piston like the filter system is pretty useless on the mk1

Does the mark 2 have the same crank seal setup? I know the saw was basically redesigned
👍

Also Bartletts in Michigan has the 550xp mark 2 right now $551.00 free shipping
why does husqvarna say max bar size for this saw is 20 in. but 455 rancher is 24 in. even though the 455 has less hp

Your going to need a better saw then that to help clean my backyard that storm didnt go easy on us
I know right? I seen pictures and live video of your place, what a mess. If grandpa wasn't 600 mile away, we'd have it cut and cleaned up already.
Dont count out the 550's!
