I like the fact that you choose plaster of Paris for the details. It gives it that "old world" look because that's what was used long ago. Also love the song "Shut Up" with Little Violet. I'm hooked on your videos.❤
I love your videos and the music you choose is always great too! Don’t ever change Deb, you’re so adorable and your stories are heartwarming, your creativity seems endless and you inspire me!
Oh my goodness ......you are so awesome....just love your work but love you videos so much....the way you chat and work it is the best i have ever seen.....wish i lived close to you ....you are so sweet and so special.....God bless you....
Very beautiful mirror. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like all the molds, but in the end. Just like everything you do. I Loved it!! Absolutely gorgeous :)
I love this!!! I've ALWAYS wanted a super detailed shabby chic vintage mirror like this....LIKE EXACTLY LIKE THIS!!!! I already have the materials except for that awesome paint & dust...I'll have to look into getting some!!! thanks for this tutorial...its perfect!!!
I bought a mirror at a thrift store and I've been wanting to do something like this to it.you gave me great Idea's, thank you.i just love watching your video's you have the best ideas.
I am actually in the middle of working on an identical mirror, roses already on it I got for $1.79 at Goodwill. I used Crockery then am thinking about gray patina wiped back then some dark & decrepit, then gold highlights, not completely sold on my thoughts yet! Beautiful how yours turned out
Hi Debi, thank you for sharing! I love your videos. I find you so refreshing and funny to watch. Keep up the witty, funny videos! I have subscribed and followed you on Pinterest; looking forward to all your new videos.
I've been wanting to make some ornate napkin ring for a princess party but didn't want to spend a ton (need 50) I have some similar molds, thinking I could just buy a bulk packet of key rings and bam I'll be good to go! so many new ideas in my head...THANKS!
i love watching your videos! your ideas are amazing and you keep it interesting! this is perfect inspiration for the project I'm doing right now! thank you and keep up the amazing work!
I recently came across your channel. This may sound silly, but when you're filming from above, and you're looking up to tell us everything, it makes me feel super tall LOL. I'm just over 5'1", so it's pretty neat to me.
Debi- I binge watched ALLL of your video's today! What an amazing ride! I wish someone retailed ANY kind of chalk paint in my area, but seriously Idaho isn't getting any chalky-retail love right now. Maybe in the future I will have a store and be a DIY retailer! So many beautiful pieces of art/furniture. I did an antique high chair about a week ago, added a stencil.. it was a dream! I was so pleased and excited! Hopefully I can do more projects.
+Megan Shipton Hi Megan, wow thanks for watching all of them!( that must have taken some time :) We DO need retailers in Idaho, please let me know when your store opens or if you can recommend a retailer in Idaho :)
+Debi's Design Diary I can recommend a retailer! They are called Downtown Shabby, check them out on Facebook they have such a beautiful little shop! I do some chalk painted jars for them. I have a fb page too, Chalk It Up to Love, its pretty new. I don't have a ton of projects on there yet. Yes it did take some time to watch all of them! My kids and I were sick so we just chilled, they watched movies I geeked out to furniture DIY vids :P
Damn. I saw a mirror like that and passed by it. Now I want to do one just like yours!! Love it! I think paper clay might work in this situation also. I have used it on furniture. Can't wait to try this. Love your videos Debi. You make me laugh!
Hi Debi, I love all the things you create , but it's a shame i can't get any of the crafting items you use here in the UK, so i have to mostly look for alternatives but i still love all your ideas , thanks for sharing your idea's :)
thank you. I am looking into making a traditional mirror into baroque style because all the ones I have looked at online were $600 and up. I think I can recreate for under $200😉
The last "shimmer" finish should've been applied with a sponge. I love all your exploring and creativity! BUT be more patient with yourself! Hahahaha!!!! Your mind goes lots faster than time/action! Please show us some of your deco. I'd love to recognize some of your finished pieces! Thanks for your great ideas! ❤️🎉👌🏼
OMIGOSH THAT IS GORGEOUS!!!! I've been looking for a mirror like that for ages and never thought I could DIY it!!! Thank you so much for doing it first so now I know what to do. And get!!! Oh goodness it is so beautiful!!!!! And just my style! This is going straight into a playlist of things I dream of. And when I (finally!!!!) finish the projects I am in the midst of doing, THIS will be my next masterpiece lol and I can't wait to get on it!!!! So thank you so much, Debi!! I just HAD to leave you a comment on this one although I have seen the kitchen transformation and you've done some amazing things!! (And your Dad, as well. :) ) Your little house overlooking the Pacific is going to be a,,,I dunno...museum??? If I ever get to SD again I wanna see your house!!!!! :D I just ♥♥♥ what you do. You are more than creative!!! You are absolutely amazing!!
I just recently subscribed to your channel and I really Love your DIY'S videos and the way u r.... 😆 God Bless keep doing what you do best! greetings from Oklahoma
Yeahhhhhhhhhh I’m so happy I saw this I have a cheap mirror almost exact same as this , that’s been hiding in my craft throw away area NOT anymorr👍 Now I know what to do with it woo hoooooo
I just saw this as I was getting ready to go back to your channel to see what's new and on the side where they list videos, there was one where this man made a rose from a plastic spoon -- I wonder if that would work, as well -- maybe on a smaller piece -- hmmm -- chalk paint covers just about anything and then you seal it -- those plastic spoon rose videos are all over the place and I wonder how people are using them?
You could have used hot glue to make your roses too. I use it all the time to make trinkets with silicon molds. I like to use the hot glue gun to make my charms because they are durable. You can paint them and they are flexible 😊 this project came out muy bonito!
Babushka Sisters I used plaster of Paris and it is NOT flexible at all - it chipped and fell all apart out of the molds - don’t use it... paper clay is a much better choice😊 I’ll try hot glue like the lady above mentioned too.
Ok seriously where has this channel been all my life????? I would have NEVER thought of this. I love the end result!!!!
I KNOW!!!!! 6 years LATER, and I finally found her!! ❤️

Such a cute combo. A baker and a painter!
You were right! Very Marie A. Love the roses and the colors!
lol...I'm compelled to watch because of her cute kookiness
Debi, BRILLIANT idea using Plaster of Paris in candy molds. I love the mirror idea. I am totally trying this on an old mirror I have at home.
Oh my goodness ......you are so awesome....just love your work but love you videos so much....the way you chat and work it is the best i have ever seen.....wish i lived close to you ....you are so sweet and so special.....God bless you....

Yeahhhhhhhhhh I’m so happy I saw this I have a cheap mirror almost exact same as this , that’s been hiding in my craft throw away area NOT anymorr👍 Now I know what to do with it woo hoooooo
Close up on the finished product?
I just saw this as I was getting ready to go back to your channel to see what's new and on the side where they list videos, there was one where this man made a rose from a plastic spoon -- I wonder if that would work, as well -- maybe on a smaller piece -- hmmm -- chalk paint covers just about anything and then you seal it -- those plastic spoon rose videos are all over the place and I wonder how people are using them?
Gorgeous I must try this 😊
You could have used hot glue to make your roses too. I use it all the time to make trinkets with silicon molds. I like to use the hot glue gun to make my charms because they are durable. You can paint them and they are flexible 😊 this project came out muy bonito!
teremel81
Great idea, thanks I'm going to do that. Super easy, make a video.
i was thinking paper clay.
That is SO. SMART. I am so going to have to steal that for a diy video!
Babushka Sisters I used plaster of Paris and it is NOT flexible at all - it chipped and fell all apart out of the molds - don’t use it... paper clay is a much better choice😊 I’ll try hot glue like the lady above mentioned too.
teremel81 do you put the hot glue in a mold and let it dry?
Subscribed. Loved the video.
