Things I have that you don’t:
- 3 purses
- 2 sunglasses
- 2 belts
- coffee maker
- Uber eats
- plastic wrap
- canned soup in wintertime (in Canada)
- one credit card
- cell phone plan (the cheapest possible but it’s still a lot, imo)
Things I don’t have:
- car
- diaper bag, laptop carrier/case, fashionable backpack
- hair products other than shampoo and conditioner
- nail polish (I don’t get them done at a salon either because I’m a pianist)
And that’s it! Everything else is the same! I would love to make my own wreath for Christmas. I have flannel sheets on my bed in summer, lol!

At the entrance / exit on the wall of my favorite grocery store, there is a sign that reads “never think of yourself; always think of others”.
What a ridiculous, virtue-signaling message this is!!
And yes, religions have always used the adage:. “It is better to give than to receive” as a means of controlling people.
These are convoluting messages, to say the least!
The funny thing is, if everyone’s a giver, - if there are only givers - then who are the receivers of all of this giving?! 😂
(I happen to know the answer to that. The receivers are the people in charge or you could call them the controllers.).
Indeed! We must change the conversation and the consciousness about it. It's imperative to change the way we speak our worth. Receiving is part of flowing. Receiving allows us to grow.
