I’ve been going to sleep around 7:30 am and waking up between 4-5 pm☹️
Edit: 4 years later and I’m still gettin replies 😂 I hope yall fix it !
☹️
Sameee
Same I got up and I knew something has to change
and that’s on quarantine ✨
Samee
my problem is that when i force myself to go to bed at a decent time, i’ll wake up 2 hours later in a cold sweat unable to go back to sleep 😩
Me too actually 😔
You don't force yourself to sleep, that makes it worse
So efffing true. Its 1:17 AM, and I have woken up😑. Maybe from tomorrow I will try to sleep at 1:30 and still wake up at 6 am. I slept at 10:30 today.
I wake up about 4 times every night. I look at the time thinking I’ve been sleeping for a good 4 hrs, nope...it’s only been an hr.
Have you been able to fix it ? I am also dealing with same
*Helpful tips*
1. Don’t use a device in bed
2. Keep in light places when you’re awake
3. No caffeine after 2pm-3pm
4. Make your bed and everything for bed ready ahead of time
5. Don’t eat too many calories before bed
6. Exercise. (It does wonders)
If you struggle with *motivation* try having other habits you’re working on at the same time like drinking more water and exercise, this will make it a lot less overwhelming
keep in mind nobody’s perfect, I’m breaking every one of these tips as I’m writing this
Matthew 4:17 (KJV) From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Would be wonderful to not use caffeine after 2pm but that's when I wake up and I have migraines so...
This was more helpful than the video
@handshakes76 maybe try drinking decaf coffee, and try not to eat much sugary foods throughout the rest of the day, take Tylenol, and instead of drinking coffee first thing, drink a cup of cold water, then eat breakfast while drinking the decaf coffee
EDIT: ik it's like 7 months later but could still help
I would set a alarm to wake up at 5 but I would already be awake when the alarm goes off 😂
Yeah... I now have to wake up at 5ish for school 😂 no my school is less then 5 minutes away I just have a early class at 6ish
I set my alarm on 5 am but i was about to go to sleep when it goes off
Same lol
same LOL
It’s 5:00 am est I should be alseep rn cause I got school in a hour
“I gEt 2 HOuRs oF sLEep aNd iM fIIiiIiIIne”
It’s also 4 am right now
Bred1TheGame it’s 7 am I haven’t slept yet
hEhEhEhE
Pls tell me how to reduce the sleep
gosh i slept for 4 hours yesterday night oh i mean today coz i slept 5:20 a.m and i woke up 8:00 but i already feel tired
I was facing the same issue. What I did was I postponed my sleep by 14 hrs. That was a huge task as whole day I was feeling dizzy but I was fully determined not to sleep. In the evening I went for a walk. I walked for around 5 km. I had early dinner that day. And when I hit the bed I was like sleep dead. Next morning I woke up very fresh. Many tricks you need to follow. Like reducing screen time, having early dinner, doing excercise etc.
A few of my friends have tried this method with success. Definitely a good one.
@@Dreamlet now I wake up at 4am. It's an amazing experience. Energy is completely at different level.
All the best.
Oh man, this is great stuff! I've done this before but only because I had an assignment and I stayed up 36 hours, definitely not healthy but my sleep was fixed! I've tried his method as well and it worked, my sleep is ruined because of the second lockdown (UK) so now my aim is to fix it. It's currently 01:40AM so I should probably get on with it 😅
@@mulengaish all the best. 👍
So like you basically skipped one night, stayed up and then went to bed at a normal time on day 2? Trying to understand your math but if I assume e.g. 10 pm and then add 14 hours that would mean going to bed at noon. Is it a typo and you mean to say "delayed by 24 hours"? Or did you really go to bed in the middle of day 2?
You can get a minimum of 6 hours a night but if you don't get the 6-8 hours of sleep your long term memory suffers so make sure to get at least 6+
i've been trying to stay up during the day without sleeping at night, and it's been disastrous, i kept falling asleep
fr, I did that today. I fell asleep at like 3pm and I woke up at 9pm.
u can do it but u need to do something like take a walk, exercise etc. just waking up and just do nothing will just let u fall asleep
@@sweetpotato1622 i did and i died at like 2 pm and i woke up at 5 pm i could sleep a lil from 10:30 pm until 11:30 when my mom woke me up

you should slowly inch back your wake up time an hour back with an alarm every few days, and sleep with curtains open
Yess and I hate it.... I’m going to try his method.. my family hates my poor sleep schedule
Yeah I recommend the open curtains too! Let the light help you wake up and dim the lights a couple of hours before you go to sleep; melatonin will do its thing you might come closer to fixing your sleep schedule!

i legit wake up at night and sleep when it's light outside, my schedule rolls and rolls and keeping it from rolling is weird because it makes me psychologically feel like time is slipping away from me. I hate it.
Okay so I fixed my schedule by staying up more than 24 hours to sleep at 9am. This did work for a couple of weeks until I started sleeping later and later. My body was forcing me to sleep later and now my schedule has stayed at 8am to 5pm for a while now. idk what to do
this is late, but you should slowly inch back your wake up time with an alarm every few days or so, and sleep with your curtains open so your body’s clock can get back to normal
@@emma-vb8ys I believe you're right. I've seen people staying up all night to fix their sleep schedule and it doesn't last. Others, like this creator, set a strict time to wake up but then most people need to make up that lost sleep, so they sleep in one day. If you really want fix your schedule inch it back 20-60min each day and have something to wake up for.

It's been a month since my 5 AM video, so I wanted to just create this video as an update! Sleep schedule has definitely never been better, so I think if you're looking for a big reset on your sleep, this is the way to go.
So to clarify your method is to wake up at 5am for 5 days straight?
How do you suggest starting that if you’re falling asleep really late i.e. 4am atm
Do I still have to wake up at 5am despite being tired and have only had 1 hour sleep?
Ps thanks for your video
I am a night owl and I don't want to create my own business. I want to be able to work in a regular office, in finance or consulting, but with a second shift schedule. We do really need to develop these kinds of jobs. For instance, working remotely with foreign country can be a solution.
ugh ive been waking up at 4 pm and im feeling so unmotivated
fr
6 hours of sleep is okay depending on your age. A lot of people say “oh I sleep 5 hours and I’m fine” but it’s still not good for your body. Sleeping is the most important thing to your body. You might feel good when sleeping 5 hours but it’s still bad to your body and brain. An expert said that, not me🤷🏻♀️
if i dont set an alarm i can sleep for 11 hours
chattin shit lol
@Obbi Jackers but 5hours is waayyyy too less
Your videos are inspiring to me! Keep them coming please.
I’ve been sleeping 9-10 PM consistently since June 2020, started sleeping late at October and that basically became a habit and now It’s hard to a-line the old habit I did, been sleeping always 11:30-12AM and max is 2 AM.
I know what I must do, but i don't know if I have the strength to do it.

My problem is, I never want to go to sleep, for some reason I just do everything to avoid whether it's watching UA-cam or tv or reading it's always something, and I don't know why, because when I do go to sleep I just want to sleep a little longer
@klyde armanekhova yeah, but it's not new to me, I've been online courses for years

Quick tip. I've realised that the the sleep issue is a case by case basis. Some people are overly stressing over something while someone else is completely bored throughout the day with nothing to do. For me, it was boredom eventhough I had plenty of stuff to do. My best sleep has been sleeping at 11 and waking up at 4 am. Never in my life have I felt better. Srry yall, you're gonna have to sacrifice one day and stay awake all day to reset that schedule.
Oh does that work?

There are research showing that sleeping 8-10 hours can have tons of health benefits. I dont believe it was ever about feeling tired or not.

Lockdown has really screwed me up big time. Working from home I have 180'd my sleep schedule, I drink way too much and I gained ±22 Pounds. I am gonna try this and I hope to God I will succeed.
Howd it go?
Omg this video is totally what I’ve been looking for! thank you for sharing this!! it’s so well-said, simple, and applicable!
Ive been sleeping about 2 in the morning and waking up 1 in the evening all the time. Today I woke up 3:10 pm and decided this has to stop.
i have a similar sort of sleep schedule right now, im not sure how it got like this. did shocking your body like this fix it?
Right off the bat, your voice is so relaxing. I'm subscribing just for that!
My huge issue is that I want to sleep earlier but simply can’t. If I went to sleep at 1 am I wake up at 3 am and my body treats that sleep as a nap. I can no longer go back to sleep after this and it in fact pushes when I feel sleep even later making it worse. How can I sleep earlier? I want to wake up in the am. I want to wake up before 10.
I've had that too before with going to bed at 8pm and waking up 1hr later. I find that it's very difficult, even impossible to reset sleep back to normal by just staying up all day for 1 day. The rule I use is going to bed either 2 hours later or earlier than the day before and just pushing it until it's back to normal. Pushing sleep back is usually easier because all it takes is staying up longer, going to bed earlier requires good sleep hygiene like running a lot and reducing artificial lights etc.
I'd also really recommend doing relaxing activities during the day, mindfulness, running, do that for me but yoga, swimming, lying down doing nothing (no phone or book), or doing other tasks like chores that take effort but not thought can clear one's mind too. Find what works for you, and if you have friends doing it together can be easier.
Most of all don't stress it. It's worse to go all in for a week and then be completely uninterested in resetting your sleep for months on end. I'd rather make gentle changes to my schedule and sleep routine and slowly going with what works.
I'm a chronic extremely late sleeper. 4-5pm wake time. It's awful, and has made life very difficult. I once reset my clock by going on a cross country road trip. I didn't want to spend money on hotels so I slept in the car. The sunlight pouring into my car every morning was powerful and impossible to sleep through. After the first day of feeling like absolute shit, it was not only easy, but natural for me to wake up at times I would consider "ridiculous" like 8am. This didn't stick however and my schedule quickly reverted to sleeping very late. I think camping is the most low effort way to reset your schedule to a reasonable societally acceptable time .
I am a night owl and I don't want to create my own business. I want to be able to work in a regular office, in finance or consulting, but with a second shift schedule. We do really need to develop these kinds of jobs. For instance, working remotely with foreign country can be a solution.
Quarantine messed with my sleep as well . And now I go to sleep from 7 to 10 pm or later and wake up late in the evening . How do you change your schedule from daytime sleeping to sleeping in the “normal” hours . I went 24 hours without sleeping but I didn’t make it passed 5 pm so I slept early and woke up at 1 or 2 am 🤦🏽♀️. Now it’s & am and I’m so tired but I don’t want to sleep because then my schedule won’t get back on track
i just pull out an all nighter everytime i need to change my sleep schedule it works, even in military they do that on some first day of bootcamps @ night of arrival, they wont let you sleep till next day.
Yea but then I end up falling asleep around 3pm until 7pm and fuck the whole thing up ☹️
5 minute video, super engaging and informative! Thank you!
cool tips thanks I used to have a decent sleep schedule especially at school but as I got older it changed and when covid hit it just went side ways now I'm trying to fix as real life will be getting busy soon and I need a schedule made I think its not about getting 8hrs sleep its also about our diet as food gives you the energy you need as much as sleep dose sometimes I only sleep for 6hrs and its usually enough for me but this video helped a lot thanks :)
Sir I need to fix it in half an hour i got classes tomorrow
:))))))
My issue is I go to bed about 8-10pm, then I have broken sleep where I wake almost every hour or two.. then by sometimes 2am or 3am, I just want to get out of bed and start my day, and I get up and have a coffee and start my morning routine, but then by about 7am I need a nap, coz I didn’t get enough sleep... I keep trying to stop napping to fix my sleep routine, but this has been going on about 5 years, and I can’t seem to fix these habits
maybe you should see a sleep specialist
I have a feeling that I'm gonna be the next you
Broken sleep sucks.
I think midnight awakening

It doesn't help much when you go to sleep between 5-8 am. How am I going to wake up if I didn't fall asleep in the first place?? Should I stay awake for more than 24h and then do the 5 days chelenge?
Him: Trying to wake up at 5 am
Me: Trying to get out of bed before noon

I've finally fixed my sleeping schedule for i think 10 days.and then i started sleeping at 11 pm when i usually sleep at 10 pm bc i dont feel tired or like having the courage to sleep at 10 pm anymore.and then,i slept at 12 am to 1 am to 3 am.and i dont know how to fix it again.
Week 2 of not sleeping al night and going to bed at 12pm and waking up at 7pm, my sleep schedule is truly beyond repair
I thought the same thing! But things won’t change if you don’t give yourself a CHANCE. For years I never gave myself one. A real One.
It’s easier than you think. Most of the info in this video was not based on true science. You need to see the early morning sunlight. If you’re not going to bed until noon, go for a leisurely walk when the sun comes up. Also start timing your meals, and any medications that you might take, to your new desired times. I’m currently working on this same problem. I have chronic fatigue syndrome. So, if I have a fatigue crash, I’ll sleep a lot for several days, and my circadian rhythm goes out the window. In the past, when my sleep cycle has gotten screwed up, I can fix it in about a week. Morning sunlight is the key. Take it day by day, and your body will give you cues. You’ll be back to normal in no time.
I daily plan to sleep for 6:30-7 hours..and plan to sleep by 11:30/12pm and get up at 6/6:30am ...but i just can't sleep coz my roommate keep light till 1 am and make noises while I'm about sleep ...Can u just suggest me how to sleep in all these conditions
Why am i supposed to set the alarm one hour before my desired time?
When I was younger, I could have an afternoon nap, go to bed at a sensible time and get a good nights rest, then wake up early the next day. These days however, if I had an afternoon nap, I’d struggle sleeping on that same night, and jeopardise my sleeping pattern.
Same
Ive been getting up at 4-5 am every day for 8 months and so far Im went from falling asleep at 4 am every day to falling asleep at 2am. Im not sure if you can shift your rhythm forward more than a couple hours.

@@anish7183 Yeah, I started work at 5 to 6am, depending on overtime. That was during the time I made that comment.

My sleep schedule was good during school until the final exams came in and now im in the 3rd week i think from my vacation and i cant fix my sleep schedule to make the most of my day in this vacation but from now on i think its a good start i'll try the strict sleep method from 4 am to 11 am and hopefully it'll work
Finals is what messed my sleep schedule up entirely too bro. One week into break I’m still struggling to fix it
I’ve struggled with my sleep schedule since March by staying up late playing video games. I’m just going to bed right now. I’m on a 3rd shift schedule, and there’s a lot of downsides to it. Also I don’t even have a job so I could get up whenever I want. Antibody else have any tips. I seem to slowly be going back and forth to getting to bed earlier and then i have days like today where i stay up this late.

Did you develop this system on your own or hear of it elsewhere.

Great video, although I have heard that less than 8 hrs of sleep doesnt have any immediate effect, but it affects you later in your life. Like after 10 years. Looking to shift my schedule back 3 hrs :). Also when I went abroad for a 5 day trip in a 2.5 hrs timezone difference, my sleep cycle was fixed 😂

It works in reverse about the 8hrs thing. Some people need more and if society tells them they only need 8 when they need 9+ due to health issues etc they won't realise that extra 1-2 hrs could mean a world of difference.
i work friday-sunday 6:00am to 6:30pm and o always fond myself going to sleep at 2 am consistently keep in mind my drive is 30 minutes and i wake up at 4:30-4:50
Well he is sad for so little change ,it's has been a month that I am sleeping 12 am to 2/3 pm and this is serious :')
It literally takes me 3 to 4 days to mess up my sleep schedule again after it's fixed!! Super annoying!!!!!!
Why it's not monetized?
thanks for the video!
When i sleep for less than 8 hours of sleep I feel like I am tired and that I want to sleep more
its 4:30am rn and im not asleep gonna set an allarm for 10am i will wake up go in a cold shower so i will be awake and start my day starting it now gonna update in 5 days or earlier
I took a nap at 8pm intill 11 and now Im staying up all day. Its gon suck but whatever fixes my schedule
My problem is when I wake up at 5 am I feel energetic and good till 8 am but later at 10 or 11 am I will so tired and sleepy while working and then I just think to take 20 minutes nap and I wake up ending after a 3 hours of sleep 😑😣 this ruins my sleep schedule and stay awake at night.
My 9am test is in 2 days😰 and I am on a 4am-12pm sleep schedule
8? What about 2-3 PM??
How do I stop sleeping 12 hours at a time? -_-
