Beautiful collection ❤️. I truly appreciate your explanation of the geology. This is what drew me to your channel. Super awesome 🤩 Thanks for the 🎥 Stay Crystal 💫
It’s to my understanding that they had to start digging over 50 feet deep to start pulling out anything of value so they shut down the mine, I would be surprised if they resume operations out there. I have the contact info of the owner, is he pretty open for anyone that asks to go there or is it limited to certain professionals? I really don’t want to bother him which is a big reason I haven’t reached out to him, but I would love to collect some of this stuff one day. I will say I am shocked there is still talkings out there to pick through though.
What happened is he pushed the tailings back up the hill to cover the mine and reclaim the land. When I last talked to him about 2 years ago he was still fine with a few people going out and digging into the hill, as long as you fill your holes back in. Last time I was out there (about 8 months ago) there were a bunch of deep holes that someone had dug and not filled in, so I dug a little bit and filled some of them in, but it is really getting hard to find anything now.
The claim owner does not want me sharing that information with other people, so I will respect him and the location. If you, however, choose to do your own research and contact the claim owner you are certainly welcome to!

Thanks!
Nice collection, beautiful colors and patterns.
Thank you!
Nice that stuff has some crazy and unique patterns, the green is the coolest, but I like the blue too
I agree!
Might want to scope that stuff, the goodies are all micro. Clay Canyon is the type locality for 6 species.
Hey this winter 👍🏼 Good time for rock trades. Just saying
Great idea! Would you like to do a rock trade with me?
