Rough audio inputs in that bird, but you made the best of it. Keep getting those cross counties in so you have enough hours for when you get your instrument rating.
Loved this video. Great to see all the landmarks in the Orlando area. How did you get the channel name 03D? All of your planes have been anything but that....
It’s in the works. She was at work when I filmed this. I rent. There’s a few clubs around but the company I rent from (Van Anda Aviation) make things really simple and I prefer that.
Nice job! Funny, I was thinking of doing an airspace video on my channel in the coming months for Ottawa Canada. Our capital has some complicated airspace and restrictions. The volume isn’t as crazy as your area, but still daunting for newcomers. :-)
The one thing you missed around exec that I wished you had talked about was the traffic pattern directions and runways to avoid the 900' shelf. Oh, and the VOR would have been a good mention
@@ZeroThreeDelta I personally have done enough research as part of my obsession of this channel (oh, and that Dixon guy too), but I thought they would be good mentions for those who are unfamiliar
Is that a johnson bar flap lever in your pocket or are we both excited to see each other? no but really your videos make it go from 6pm to midnight in my trousers
I do not understand the vectors given for the LL traffic avoidence. This always happens to me. Tells LL to fly westbound and 20 left, he flies westbound. Now we are still on a collision course (why not more left for LL?) So you have to do 20 left and now make it impossible to spot him in that turn.
I think it’s just because of how busy it gets at certain airports. I kinda got the impression he just wanted LL out of there. I didn’t include it, but the controller gave LL a clearance to change frequency and LL came back twice asking if he could change frequency. Then tower asked ‘how do you hear’ and LL never responded. 🙄
@@ZeroThreeDelta I think the controller felt like he would have more luck giving you instructions than LL. Bit of a language barrier it seemed. Although you do speak the Queen's English. 🤣
@@ZeroThreeDelta Yeah, my two thoughts were fireworks (but that would only apply at night) and noise abatement for all their resorts. Guess we'll never know.
Funnily enough, it wasn’t just for security over Disney when they introduced the TFR in 2003, it was also to stop banner towers advertising over the parks. The more you know 🤷🏻♂️
last time i was in Florida i was 12 (39 now) it was nice to see it again through your eyes as it were. So random question when ur doing your training over places like Orlando, instead of a best field to land at do you have to pick the best roof to land on or someone's living room, should the engine quit, can't imagine too many landing spots over the city.
There’s plenty of fields over the practice area, but in the pattern or coming in/out of Exec, it’s basically the best road you can find safely. If not, a field and brace for impact lol.
Best video ever with foreflight in the split screen. That’s what I’m talking about about.
Thanks! 😁
like full watch thanks for sharing
This video makes me realize how lucky I am to live in Florida!! Great video, as always
Thanks! 😁
Now that you 2 are both private pilots I can't wait for you guys to take more trips around the state to new airports and take turns flying the plane!
Once the weather improves 👍🏻
Very interesting video Gareth. Screenshot was really useful. Squelch seemed a nuisance. Good idea for a video, great stuff! 😎👍
Thanks Tim. Venturing further afield with the summer weather here is proving tricky.
Haven't watched it yet, but 2nd!!! LOL
I see someone has Cherokee 042 flying through the practice area!! I bet it's Lewis, trying to steal your thunder. ;)
Lewis was flying 042 that morning, hence why I flew 15F 😂
Busy busy :) Just like KRHV on Saturday and Sunday!
KORL has started getting crazy busy, but this was the first decent weather we’d seen in a while so a lot of people were taking advantage of it.

I’ll do more XC when weather allows.
@@ZeroThreeDelta for sure. FL weather has been horrible lately.

Go back to videos from 2018/2019 😉
FIRST
Congrats! 😂
My wife refers to the dolphin as the guppy. Lol.
😂
I would truly love to see Orlando from this view!!!!!! Great video!! If you ever have room for another I am in!!!! :)

Perhaps a video with the brand new pilot at the yoke, do you rent or belong to a flying club?

The Disney Surprise. Shhhhh. A little Goofy if you ask me.
😂

@@spelldaddy5386 True. I was a little saturated in the airspace. There’s some stuff that wasn’t included with a couple of aircraft lol.

Definitely the most unique and complimentary comment I’ve seen in a while 😂
Nice video can you show us how to record the cockpit audio?
I’ll try and record a piece about that in my next video.

Refreshing leg wind is the only reason I can fly in the summer 😂
It’s the only option in a Piper 😂
I guess they're really trying to push that noise abatement policy with the T.F.R.
No idea why they’re being so strict. I’m not sure it’s noise abatement, but it’s never like it’s been crowded in that TFR.

Are you a CFI taking new students?
Sorry, I’m just a PPL.
I love how the "right" squelch setting is always changing on us
Otto and I had the same issue in that plane a couple of months ago. I was told it was fixed 🤨
