Hey Guys, sorry if you had issues with my attempts to post this video video yesterday, UA-cam's creator stuff went down and it was causing a whole host of issues that are fixed now!
Hey just as a heads up, on the spawning pool you have another menu you can open by pressing ‘R’ it gives access to upgrades for the brood queens that you get to choose 1 outta the 3 for each mission. I believe available from the very start of every mission(that gives you a spawning pool)
the coolest things about mods like these is the immersion. You expect Terran to be well fortified, sandbags, tanks, more than 3 units, etc. Love it. I love anything more lore accurate.
10:23 you forgot to check out the "Brood Queen mutations" that the notification was talking about i think you got distracted by the passive kerrigan abilities in the Evolution Chamber i think those should change places, as in put the Kerrigan abilities on the Spawning Pool (where you wouldn't look otherwise) and put the mutations on the Evolution Chamber where they are harder to miss
i believe in the recent q and a someone said they have a mod they are working on that makes every mission of wings of liberty train based, not sure how it works but it sounds great@@njdarda
Finally! Since I stumbled into this mod a constant thought of mine has been "Grant needs to play this, this is too good to ignore." Glad the creator is going to receive a lot of well deserved attention out of this because they surely will.
Yeah. One thing that the original completely knocked out of the park was sound design. You immediately knew when a storm dropped, you got irradiated, lockdown or a siege tank was ruining someone's day. So adding it to the mod would very much add to readability
I had very little idea what was going on. Saw your name mentioned in another comment section, decided to peek. I've never played Starcraft. I know nothing about it. I was enthralled the entire time anyway. You've got charisma, and a lovely voice. I'm gonna be watching more.
You look like you have the most ergonomic gaming set up ever. Like, zero back problems. Perfectly straight up, shoulders not scrunched. You're a man who knows how to game.
I am so glad they got rid of Kerrigan for the build missions. HOTS didn’t feel like a real StarCraft campaign, but rather Sarah’s happy funtime adventure.
There is actually an Abathur mod. It's called Abathur's Whimsy that changes the units in a funny and/or creative way and adds bonus objectives. It's honestly really good and pretty funny.
I'm just so glad to see how happy GGG is to play this mod! I don't have the time to get even close to that good on base game, but I am here to watch the happy chaos!!!
7:30 I don't think grant noticed, and I haven't looked through comments to see if someone else has pointed it out, but the eradicator was placed behind the factories, normally it's in front, I like that change
I'm super excited to see Grant play through this mod because it has very interesting core concepts, but it also requires a skill level (and APM cap) far beyond my own to play comfortably. The enemy aggression, as seen even on that first macro mission, is beyond nightmare levels. Seeing someone with the skills to macro properly to take advantage of the additional bases while still microing all of the individual unit abilities you get throughout the mod will be a blast.
The way this mod is hard is that it punishes you if you don't play aggressive early. You'd end up with increasingly stronger attack waves and defenses from more enemy bases if you're slow to clear some of them. Grant had trouble here because he started playing defensive after one bad engagement. It's not a bad thing since us viewers get more content to watch.
Oh hey. I finished this campaign myself not too long ago. I was literally thinking 'you know, I bet Grant would love this.' Good to see you continuing to have fun, man.
4:30 This is genuinly the first time i have seen zergling jump be useful outside the evolution mission A few minutes in, this reminds me sort of like Soviet_00's WC3 campaign enchanced He added a bunch of new kinds of units, balances, and raised hero lvl cap to 20, can recommend
I really love Grant's enthusiasm for the cool stuff modders are making and his care for the Starcraft community. Always nice to see and ear such cheerfulness. :) Thanks for the enhanced fun! ^^
I think one of the reasons the aggression is so high is because you are supposed to be aggressive, get out there, and blow up enemy bases where they build attack waves. And in the process acquire more bases to mine from. Crazy I know.
Watching your recent Brood War Deathless with that one mission having the elite units - Now getting to see the elite units get their own campaign dedicated to them.. what a treat.
This mod is great, i played it before and i never realised the little jump thing you did in the first mission, nice work. I'm glad you are getting all the bonus objectives, i hope you enjoy the mod as much as i did.
You're gushing bc that's what a lot of gaming franchises used to be: they didn't have to but they did. It's why players expect little hidden things as it used to be common place but rewarding to figure out. While some games still do it, other's that used to don't or limit it to some hand-holdy thing that misses the point.
We are in desperate need of a "how to" custom mod creation and go over how to make/copy abilities, change the campaign stuff/fix the maps etc. the modding community of SC2 is heavy on the gatekeeping
The infested command center does remind me of my favorite thing to do in Brood War. Mind Controlling SCVs and Drones with a Dark Archon in order to get buildings and units from all three factions.
Huh. A mod I actually played before him. I won't spoil things but yeah the Kukulza's are a bit broken right now. But to let you know for the future. There are not a lot of resources on the maps. It's better to bust into a base and take it's resources than anything.
Ah, so it wasn't a problem with video itself but with UA-cam, huh. Guess I'll have to play it in background while I'm doing my own things, seeing as I've managed to watch the video before somehow.
playing this mod was cool, but mother of god the first time I laid eyes on the Swarm Lurker.......I never knew I needed it in my life, but now I can never look at swarm hosts the same way again
I am so exited for this mod. hots is actually one of my favorites and i am over the moon to see another great mod for it. And i will be playing it myself as well.
This is just uncanny... i was rewatching Grants old playlists and during Mobius mod i was like "man, this is probably best, most interesting mod out there, shame there isnt more like it" Two days later... BOOM!
If you got the lets say old queens from SC1 but enhanced, imagine getting the defilers too oh boy defilers with enhanced swarm units would be amazingly strong because of the dark swarm makes the devouring ones even more tanky. And I hope already they make a similar mod for LotV too.
The fortifications in the first mission seem perfect for a psudo-raptorling assault. They make the jump ability more important, but also serve to prevent zergling encirclement and slow down the slaughter. Lots of flanking potential too. Also, do abominations seem weirdly fast to you? The walk looks super funky when they are bunched up with lings. I also wonder if volatile infested are any good. The mod seems absolutely brutal, in the sense that the zerg are unstoppable killing machines, but you are fighting pure Terran tank turtle.
I feel like as part of the defense in this mission you need to destroy the buildings the AI ignores to spawn some extra broodlings. One time use for extra units for emergency defense.
Woah, that's a lot going on for mission 2 (3, but the no-build escape was skipped). It seem really neat though, looking forward to Grant playing with this new toolbox in these suped-up HotS missions.
This mod is great, I played a bit of it and I definitely thought that Grant has to showcase this, as for me, the second Kaldir mission broke my back and I couldn't beat it after 5 tries :D
Not gonna lie, but seeing Grants reaction to this is Adorable. And I agree this is one of the best Swarm mods, I think. The Mobeius being wings best oen and Protoss with Ai for legacy
I respect the tutorial skip. I always find it interesting that in both SC1 and SC2, the Zerg Mission 1 is essentially a tutorial mission that tells you how to build stuff. I'm pretty sure the first build missions in SC1 and SC2 (terran) doesn't even bother teaching you how to make stuff (at least on brutal difficulty)
SC1 had a separate tutorial level called Boot Camp that isn't apart of the Terran campaign, but teaches you how to mine and about supply. I think Zerg is definetely different enough to get its own mini tutorial, while Protoss is very very similar and reallly not needed.
Fun mod, played it two weeks ago. Exept a few missions it feels much easier even in comparison to brutal. Also tried Evolution mod, that is not complete yet, that was the real nightmare challenge.
6:27 the design is so good becouse cliff jumping is basically worthless on 90% of missions and this one cliff spot looks really good because its not needed and it gives a good advantage for using it.
A note/feedback, as a viewer who found this randomly: I personally prefer it when the game speed is set to normal, as I assume that you've upped the game speed, with this being the reason why everything moves and attacks so quickly
Hey Guys, sorry if you had issues with my attempts to post this video video yesterday, UA-cam's creator stuff went down and it was causing a whole host of issues that are fixed now!
It looked fine for me when I watched the first upload. What's different?
How the hell your comment is 9 mins old while video is 5? Grant, stop using time warp or other protoss crap
it was weird when it showed up at 10 am, 1 hour late, and had no resolution option yesterday
Oh UA-cam.
A few other creators I follow were also having similar problems at that time.
7:57 "Your lucky no one was killed, Kerrigan." Rip the Marines/Firebats that don't count as Humans in that mission.
This amused me as well.
Both marines and firebats are convicts so they probably didn't care about them ;)
Valerian is his father’s son
You lied to your men, and betrayed the conscripts who fought for you! What's happening to you Valerian? Is research all that's important to you?
Those were, um... suits piloted by... strawberry jam golems.

I have gotten so used to every mod for HoTS making Noktul say "It is Wednesday my BROOD" that when she didn't say it here I was genuinely surprised.
It’s no “Trains of Liberty”, but it’s aight.
i don't get it :(
i believe in the recent q and a someone said they have a mod they are working on that makes every mission of wings of liberty train based, not sure how it works but it sounds great@@njdarda
@@ProtosR i missed that video, thanks! :D
@@ProtosR That sounds super silly and memey......I'm ready for it!
Finally! Since I stumbled into this mod a constant thought of mine has been "Grant needs to play this, this is too good to ignore." Glad the creator is going to receive a lot of well deserved attention out of this because they surely will.
Where do you find the mod?
Yeah. One thing that the original completely knocked out of the park was sound design. You immediately knew when a storm dropped, you got irradiated, lockdown or a siege tank was ruining someone's day. So adding it to the mod would very much add to readability
The way the tarrasque moves looks like it's on roller skates. If the modder put little wheels on its feet, this mod would be perfect.
I had very little idea what was going on. Saw your name mentioned in another comment section, decided to peek. I've never played Starcraft. I know nothing about it. I was enthralled the entire time anyway. You've got charisma, and a lovely voice. I'm gonna be watching more.
He does a great job with presentation. I've started emulating his opening (almost unconsciously) on my own channel.
"I'll be ready next time"
Gets irradiated at the same time
8:39 Valerian - Jim, do you read me
Grant - Jim can't read.
fell off my seat =D
I definitely wasn’t expecting that sudden of a burn.
He is too drunk
If anything Grant cant read
You look like you have the most ergonomic gaming set up ever. Like, zero back problems. Perfectly straight up, shoulders not scrunched. You're a man who knows how to game.
I am so glad they got rid of Kerrigan for the build missions. HOTS didn’t feel like a real StarCraft campaign, but rather Sarah’s happy funtime adventure.
Really glad I'm able to watch it now. HOTS is my favorite campaign and seeing a new spin on it is always fun to watch
Grant: I just took a lot of damage!
3secs later: Mission ends and he still ends with half the reinforcements.
I am reminded that the original StarCraft manual had the Queen with the mutalisks glaive worm attack, while the mutalisks had some kind of acid spray.
Yup, as seen in the final cut-scene where they shoot acid around inside the Gantrithor. Also, pour one out for the Defiler's auto-attack
My only issue is that Zerg version of Moebius Mod should be called Abathur Mod. Beside that, it's exactly what I wanted.
I don't like mission 1 having organic enemys, the whole point was that it was inorganic robots which is why Kariagen was forgiven for 'showing off'
7:30 I don't think grant noticed, and I haven't looked through comments to see if someone else has pointed it out, but the eradicator was placed behind the factories, normally it's in front, I like that change

When the screen is green you can see the greenscreen work on Grant's glasses, from the reflected screen.
Oh hey. I finished this campaign myself not too long ago. I was literally thinking 'you know, I bet Grant would love this.' Good to see you continuing to have fun, man.

There are several missions where they can jump to get money too, but I don’t think actually more than once you can circumvent defenses~
I really love Grant's enthusiasm for the cool stuff modders are making and his care for the Starcraft community. Always nice to see and ear such cheerfulness. :)
Thanks for the enhanced fun! ^^

11:00 the 2 queens used 4 spawn broodling on a single tank and wasted all their energy.
Something to fix for the autocast.
In SCI I always put irradiate on patrolling overlords so it killed a lot of stuff while being irradiated.
Watching your recent Brood War Deathless with that one mission having the elite units - Now getting to see the elite units get their own campaign dedicated to them.. what a treat.
We need more no-Kerrigan HotS mods. It's the Zerg, for Amon's sake. The entire faction is about *swarm*ing your enemies.
This mod is great, i played it before and i never realised the little jump thing you did in the first mission, nice work.
I'm glad you are getting all the bonus objectives, i hope you enjoy the mod as much as i did.
I'm impressed that Naktul survived at the end and got to do her happy dance.

I have to warn you Grant. This campaign has some mechanics that go "LOL, you loose because you didnt know about that".
Well now I'm excited to see more of this wonderful mod! I love it when Grant gets has happy as a kid on Christmas it just makes me giddy
I can't recall if I've ever seen Naktul survive one of these busts before. I'm all in for Zerg mods. Live for the Swarm!
Giving you cliffjumping and then actually giving you a really useful cliff to jump is such a good start. Excited for your playthrough this one!
Torrasque has completely changed the dynamic of the 3rd mission. This mod is awesome! Can't wait for more.
We are in desperate need of a "how to" custom mod creation and go over how to make/copy abilities, change the campaign stuff/fix the maps etc. the modding community of SC2 is heavy on the gatekeeping
This mod was really nutty when i played it. I really loved the infested mission personally as i just took my time and massed the new brood lords.
The infested command center does remind me of my favorite thing to do in Brood War. Mind Controlling SCVs and Drones with a Dark Archon in order to get buildings and units from all three factions.
YES THAT VALERIAN VOICE LINE IS IN THE BASE GAME
I LOVE IT
This, like Moebius Mod, looks like its gonna be my preferred way to play when i want a decent challenge and just chill. This looks awesome
“There’s more Zerglings in this cave!”
THAT’S NOT A ZERGLING!!!
HE'S TRYING HIS BEST, OK?
Moebius was great and no kerrigan is great, looking forward to this
I wonder if Grant remembers levels get tougher the later they are played in HotS Nightmare mod.
do love the "fast, for a dwarf" reference
Finally. This mod deserves a lot more recognition!
Just finished it today. These folks are in for a treat! This mod is soooo goood.

man i really hoped you would play that and you do that even faster then expected. very nice. great mod.
4 Devouring Ones instead of 2 regular Zerglings. Looks like the Cracklings returned.

Wow this Mod is awesome, gotta play it asap! Thanks for showing
The "Jim can't read" comment made me crack up. Well played haha
Hi there. Little tip for next mission. Destroy the Base. You'll know which one when you see it

Good to see a (sort of) Daggoth mod. Always wished I could play as the other cerebrates
This looks like a great mod. I'm looking forward to the later missions
This is basically StarCraft 2 but Daggoth of the Tiamat brood replaced kerrigan.

Hope you check out the CNC mod eventually too! It is a bit jank to start but like this mod gives you a lot of tools to work with.
I just finished this Grant, u're gonna have fun with this one haha
