I heard Austin once say on Jumpstreet to try the TTS switch. The back foot is typically your natural royale, it's just getting use to the other foot postion. Easier said than done.. I know. I've been practising swith soyale to get my head around it.
Yeah I used to do them that way I really don't know why I stopped. I think I could do it on coping but found it solid to get my switch foot down on a ledge! Austin is the master of that trick
Thanks man. Yeah always trying to push the production value and videography. I enjoy the filming almost as much as the skating. I like to try and set the scene so you get a sense of these grimy uk parks hahha
Thanks Bro! I would love to tell you it was all first try...I had ALOT of attempts at the front Sav and the BK Royale. Any filming tips for me, I feel like my Tripod game still needs work!
I love bs royales, especially Soichiro Kanashima’s… he has such a nice style & flow ☺️Also another of my favourites is a zero spin down a stair set (or any gap for that matter). They’re not the hardest move ever but they always look (& feel) so good!
I never would've thought you're 6"4 so you're doing something right! I personally love a good X grind on a nice round rail. You can squat right down quite easily on a rail once you're locked on like you're sitting in a chair. Also found it a great way to get used to using my switch soul foot and topsides on my dominant foot, especially when you take it to a ledge. Great video, I really wanna get Savannahs down next, they do look so slick.
Torque soul aka Happy soul is my happy place trick and I think with the front foot really tweaked looks pretty nice too, also a great step up should you wanna then switch it up to something. I do think AO top porns on ramp look crazy good though, but its not something I can do reliably, and when I do land one I am mostly surprised.
Great video Chris! I gotta say that I too didn't think you were quite that tall. I want to learn how to get lower on a back royale and back farv. And at 5'8" it should be a bit easier. Knees aren't great though. BTW, I'm now skating a pair of STten boots on my 90s and the cuff support is noticeably better, especially with the Intuitions, compared with the ST8 boots. Feels much more solid. I want to start learning a few more wizard tricks. Have you done any more experimenting with wizard skating?
Funny you should say that as I'm in the market for a pair of ST10 boots for that very reason. Cool to hear there is a noticeable difference. I've done a whole load more actually, I've learnt gazelles and the lion coss legged thing. Having loads of fun with it need to make a follow up video. I'm waiting on a pair of NN 4x90 frames which should make life easier!
@@chrischadwick1 Nice! There are some STten boots popping up on eBay these days in the larger sizes. Check out eBay if you haven't yet. Looking forward to your next wizard style video. Cheers!
I would never have guessed that we're the same height. Wild. Anyway, nice tips! Would love to have Back Sav's but I am very reluctant to put the time and inevitable horrible bails into learning them hah
Haha the camera must be shrinking me! Thanks man. Yeah it's a really tough one to learn and maintain. Definitely had some nasty wheelbite bails initially but it's feeling pretty stable with practice! Coping box is best to learn on
