- Today we are comparing the times of the new Audi RS7, RS6 and the S8! All cars are from 2020 and are running on 22 inch tires. Despite having an entirely different character all cars have a very similar powertrain. Whereas RS6 & RS7 have 600 hp, the S8 "only" has 571hp and is slightly heavier. The interior looks fantastic on all cars.
Yep it's mostly for there higher end models. Like the a6, A7 , a8 q7 q8 and etc. The a4 a5 and q5 are similar in interior. However best looking model in my opinion is there a5/s5/rs5. If you on a budget the new a5 I hear can do a 0 to 60 in 4.8 seconds on test runs and it's gets a lot of packages like the black optics that literally make it look like an rs series vehicle
I think I'd still take the S8 over the other two. I love its combination of more discreet, almost sleeper-like looks in contrast to the flashier RS models.
In regards to power, I would not be surprised if the S8 actually had the same power output (600 PS) as its smaller siblings, but Audi declared less simply because it's not an RS.
They didnt make an rs8 cus the a8 already comes with a v8 but the a6 and a7 are v6s
If there was an rs8 it would have a twin turbo v10 700 hp stock minimum lol.

More interesting than the dynamics was to see the RS6/7 turning with a slip. I don’t remember that past generations could do this.

Surely the M5 competition must be faster as it is a competition model. Maybe the true rival for the M5 competition is going to be RS6/7 performance models when they arrive.
Oh yes you are right. As of right now the rs6 perf is faster than m5 comp well due to it having a stupidly fast launch but m5 is faster over a longer distance

S8 hands down for me!
S8 has probably the same power output as those other two. And I noticed that the gearbox in S8 is little bit more agressive. Maybe because of different software calibration.
Agreed. Audi just declared slightly less because it's not an RS. They don't want a 'non-full-fledged' sporty version (S) at the same level as their full-fledged ones (RS).

The 100-200 for the RS6 was starting from a lower speed, so it had more momentum heading into the 100 mark.
Only velocity has momentum, the rate of change of velocity (acceleration) doesn't have momentum
@@marloupieterse3343 Yes, in isolation, but I would say that if you are in the top of your power curve at high RPMs a "running start" through the gate will result in a quicker time than gunning it just under the 100.

For the tires yes summer is better than summer, but the engines should be more performant during winter than summer, cold airs = more volume = faster it’s pure logic, that big boat of S8 is impressive as hell. 👍😍😍😍😍

Tyres make a lot of difference! You can't compare winter with summer tyres, they have a lot less traction.

Rs6/7 in warmer conditions can do 0-100 in 3.1-3.2 easily and 100-200 below 8 seconds
They are beasts considering that they are not the perfomance versions ;)
Not sure about the 100-200 time because they struggle with the 22 inch. Of course 0-100 purely depends on grip.
Automann-TV I think the best option for is 21 inch tires , especially for these 100-200 times ;)

Never seen a stock RS6/7 went 0-100 in 3.1 seconds. The fastest I’ve seen is 3.3, you probably need 700hp to reach that figure

For the rs7 it was very cold and glatt outside. It must be allways tge same situation and Temperatur. And i now that tge s8 has 100 % more horse power in real. And i only believe what I test un reak live and no fake what ist onky on the Papier
