      ​@hansloyalitat9774 Is not that Bad at Least not too Me I hope to Fly with Iceland Air in the upcoming years but for the Summer instead of Winter on there Boeing 737 Max 8 and 9 Planes including there upcoming Airbus A321Neos and A321XLR's too which would Interesting for me too try out.

      Yeah, and still performs like he's 25 too. The 757 is the most overpowered airliner, much more powerful than some A321.

    Imagine an A321XLR flies 8,700 km at 850km/h, that’s like about an 11 hour flight nonstop !!

    They should have gone with the A320NEO over the MAX 8 and 9 to further simplify things. I want to know how they will eventually replace their 767-300ER's, whether it is the 787 or A330NEO they go with.

      I think the MAX 10 can replace the B763s given the missions that they currently fly. The A21NY (A321XLR) can do KEF to SFO.

    Forget about Mexico City, there's no way any A321 (let alone the XLR) can takeoff from that airport elevation with enough fuel to reach Keflavik

      757 doesn't have the fuel to reach MEX from KEF nonstop in the first place. At least A321XLR should be able to do that.

    after delta most aircrafts , Transavia 737 replace by A320 family it's the moment for icelandair to change their aircraft manufacturer from boeing to Airbus

    4,000 nm on a narrow body? So much for comfort. I did it on a LAX-AKL round trip on a 787, and it was tight to my taste. But I guess after enjoying many years crossing the Pacific and Atlantic on wide bodies, I would have ot get used to, as it is the unfortunate future.

      A modern narrowbody such as a321neo and a220 is actually compareable to wide body in terms of comfort for cattle class.
      Only exception to that would be A380

    If the A321-XLR can do more, then why wasn't a freighter version planned yet?? The 757 was already a robust, and capable airplane of both versions.

      The XLR will primarily be used to access new destinations currently not within range of Icelandair's current fleet. Places like Miami, LAX, San Francisco etc. I think Icelandair made a big mistake investing in the 737MAX which is obviously a different type rating than the XLR.

      How the XLRs are not long enough is that they’re appearances they’re shape they’re length and they’re not long enough to replace the 757-300

    Mexico City with its ‘hot and very high’ location would be doubtful with the XLR.

      Mexico City has three airports, two of them with runways longer than 14,000 feet. The other has runways longer than 12,000 feet. I think the XLR will handle it fine.

      A321LR at 97t requires around 1500ft longer runway than 757-200 at 110t. Some more restrictions but probably not dealbreakers.

      I love the guy. I will try to fly it when back to Iceland- didn't like the MAX on the route. Flew 767 and it was by far the best experience. It roars on take-off, push you against the seat and so roomy during cruise. One of my best flight experiences ever

    There’s 2 historic narrowbodies that actually could do even better albeit their quads and with higher fuel capacity; the DC-8 Super 70’s (the -73 was the largest aircraft until the 747 started the widebody era and remains the longest narrowbody ever built) and the 707-320B Intercontinental
