Oh I adore her so warm and fuzzy! Since childhood I always sooo dreamt for my fantasy adopted parents to be Stephen Fry and Sandi Toksvig. Those are the two warmest fuzziest people on Earth!
I’m retired. Before COVID I met up with people my age at the local sports centre every day, keeping fit and enjoying a coffee afterwards. All those connections were broken by the pandemic, most of those people never returned and gradually the classes have been axed. I miss it.
I lost my job during Covid. My friends totally stepped up and I got closer to them than ever. I entertained more than I ever have - I loved it! I loved them. I always will. But I had to move two hours away for a new job and I really miss being able to have those friends over often. But when I get back, those friends are always glad to get together. And I’m starting to make friends in my new place.
I know what Sandi means about loving her chainsaw. I have one too and I love it and it’s soooo tempting to go out and trim things that should be left alone. 😂 Don[t mess with a woman with a chainsaw
When you talk about traditional families, and "traditional family values" people often overlook the evils that people perpetrated in order to appear like a normal family. A well known example, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, and Reagan's son from his first marriage. When Nancy Reagan married Ronald, she had no interest in having a blended family, because it was not seen as normal, and she was so concerned about her image, and how she would be perceived, that she wickedly made Ronald Reagan isolate and send his young son away. A boy, I should remind you, who absolutely adored his father, and had grown very emotionally attached. Ronald's oldest child, from his first marriage was raised away from the rest of the family, often by employees of the household, who were acting as sort of a foster family, and it took a great tole. That Ronald Reagan went along with this shows, can only be explained by saying he was weak and a complete failure as a father to his first child, and should have stood up to his Nancy. Hell, he should have thrown her out on her spoiled ass for even suggesting it, but that is not how the world worked then. These same people, Nancy and Ronald Reagan, then went on to tell the rest of us what kind of families they thought it was acceptable for us to have, in the 1980s, and there is no reason we should ever consider their words as nothing but the excuses of people who completely failed at being parents.
RR was giving a commencement speech at a Arizona boys school, and sa he finished 5 or 6 ot the teenagers gathered and Raygun asked each in turn what are you doing over the summer, he asked the last and Michael Davis blanched and said "I thought I was coming to LA with you and mom..." The Antichrist did not recognize his own son.
@@OddOne251 I was giving an example I am familiar with. Every person who cries about family values, always ends up being a monster though, and that includes Sandi. Hell, look at the Taliban, you have a huge terrorist group murdering and killing people, and you ask them what their motivation is? They will tell you they are protecting their family and traditional values in their culture, when in reality they are just a bunch of monsters. Same with conservatives in all countries. The only difference is how much your society is structured to stop them from doing.

This woman is FABULOUS. I ADORE her. She's absolutely WONDERFUL!
Sandi’s daily talk about famous women during lockdown kept me sane.
Wish she continued with it
@@ibl82 she wrote them all down in an almanac. It’s good, but not as detailed.
I loved those talks. She was also "bringing back" flannel fashion.
It was super inspiring she is such a remarkable person
She helped me through lockdown too

Sandi's joy in little things is wonderful. Made me smile
Funny as it might seem, but as an American Sandi Toksvig and the UK Who's line cast was a great part of my childhood. I love her
Letting the sun warm the forest floors with love ❤ 😊
Dame Sandi, I say. She is now an institution and living treasure.
Where I live, Friends of Dorothy is an AA group for the gay community 🏳️🌈🌈
In my city (Johannesburg, RSA) our lunch group of age 50+ gay men are known as Friends Of Dorothy 😂😂😂.
It's an old euphemism for gay people, no? I assumed that's what the title referred to.
I believe she has buttered scones for tea
Sandi with a chain saw I love it,!
I love Sandi.
Oh i love her! She was so great on the Great British Baking Show. She's so wonderful and FUNNY!!!

i like her , and she is danish to like me
She's super smart, articulate and so grounded 💗. Be careful Sandi, there's no such thing as a minor accident with a chainsaw
An absolute treasure.
My respect for Sandi just went even higher. Holly trees and bushes are extremely hard wood to cut!
Sandi - maybe you and I could sit down and have a serious chat about chainsaws.
