Switched to this from an A7IV in June and it was the best decision I ever made! Can't emphasize how much lower the barrier to shoot & make content is with this compared to bigger cameras. Can easily bring it wherever you go, can fit it on small tripods, doesn't carry that same stigma as when you pull out a bigger full frame camera in public.
Are you going to shoot weddings or professional jobs with it? No lol. But for just a solo creator who still wants video quality to be near the highest level, this thing is the perfect camera 🙌
Oh and photo wise- my most recent trip I used the ZV-E1 only to take photos and they are some of the best I've ever shot. Especially if you're just posting to IG, 12 MP is more than capable. They looked better the photos I had taken on my A7IV and A7iii before it!

I want to do the same switch, only consideration is overheating. I mainly do video, but not long continuous shots, does it occur if i doo a lot shorter clips, a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes, outdoors...

@@novljanin I shot multiple 4-5 minute clips back to back this summer in an non-AC gym in Texas (so not direct sunlight, but 100°F & high humidity) and I never once overheated. It would get warm, sure, but never to the point that overheating was a concern.

I just got the ZV-E1 ... tipping point was $1800 open box! Great compliment to my a7rv! Question... are you keeping it it Dynamic Active all the time and have you figured out what the actual crop is?

I got one and it’s amazing I have to say, I was reticent to spend so much but worth every penny (has been periodically on offer for £450 off in Uk and I got it then). I have come from Nikon APSC and the photo quality is also top notch on this camera. One thing I would say, the internal mic isn’t quite as good as the king of in built mics on the Nikon Z30 believe it or not.
