A Defense of Short Games & a Critique of Long Ones

The Exit 8 is not a long game, but it's not a bad thing. Can you imagine an Exit 80 just to pad the runtime? Some gamers want to maximize the amount of content, but it doesn't always apply. What do we want to experience in a game and how long is too long?

I personally prefer shorter games. 20 hours is usually the most I want to spend on most games. There are some exceptions. But most super long games are like long TV series. Full of unnecessary bloat. Some of the best games I've ever played were 5 hours or less even

its true that short games can be good but the problem is you spend like an hour or two on them when they have a decent chance on being overpriced
