I've had this little synth sitting around for several years and I've used it very seldomly, mainly because keys take some getting used to. Lately, due to budget constraints and my desire for a good polysynth, I've decided to explore it more deeply and this video is super helpful. You laid it out step by step and I was able to easily recreate your patch and then start changing each value to create a broad range of sounds. The mod matrix, which is the main tool for developing interesting patches, has been a little bit elusive but what you did here was simple and effective. It's a great sounding synthesizer at any price. Thanks for the lesson.
So inspiring!! The Microfreak keeps impressing me at every turn, and your use of it along with a subtle touch of reverb and delay.. absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much!
That’s actually really good!! I’m sort of stuck with the two operator FM waveform, as it doesn’t really add up in my understanding of FM. Still very cool, I guess I’m thinking it ought to have a secondary layer for modulating it’s carrier? Really great turorial!! THANK YOU!! This patch here led me on to trying the second envelope as an actual second envelope and routing it through to some of the timing parameters on the arpeggiator and the timbre knob, very cool!! KEEP IT UP!!
Can you explain the part after you hit random, I can't see the screen with the settings (rate, and step) and my loop only plays back partially, or not like yours!
Feedback. I would have liked to hear you press a note each time you made an edit - as the 2-op FM isnt the OSC Id have chose for an ambient patch - be good to hear how the sound created from A>Z

This pedal seems to be the Avalanche Run by Earthquaker Devices but i can't find it with that graphic. Is this custom?
Mans got crazy ASMR voice going.
cant understand what you're saying at 1:10 "first step is to go on to one of the empty one on da microfreak" what does that mean?
He’s selecting an unused ‘INIT’ slot.
