I think tower of god is the kind of series that deserved a “one piece” treatment. The world building and dialogues are so important and well made that it harms the series by leaving them out, especially with the amount of characters ToG has and the whole “floor” dynamic. Different to many other series, ToG doesn’t take place in one, two or three key locations, there are tens of locations, each with their unique design, culture, people, etc. and all of that is addressed in the source material and is part of what makes the entire series so captivating. The sheer amount of important characters also makes it nearly impossible to translate into TV form if it doesn’t have thousands of episodes highlighting every dialogue and interaction. Also, different to many series, ToG’s world and context actually has an impact in the entire series, which is why all of it needs to be made clear for the plot to have any weight to it. The entire “ten great families” and “irregular” dynamic has no impact whatsoever if you don’t show the world building, it’s kind of like saying “yeah these guys are powerful and the people from the outside are OP” but giving no actual basis or reaction for those claims to be felt.
Nope, the plot is too dramatic that sometimes the emotions felt so cringe. And obsessive naive simp isn't a good story telling. And it's fckin MC, fckin SIMP 💀🤣
@@juanshanks6984 yeah it really sucks for anime only people… the source material is so good it’s actually impressive how much they’re ruining it. The entire dynamic of the tower is being lost. It’s been a while since I read the part the anime is on, but I remember being captivated by the sheer amount of detail given to the world-building and character development, something that is really missing in the anime. It may seem like it would slow down the pace, but the fact that not much attention has been given to the whole world-building part makes it so the action moments feel less impactful. The appearance of Urek, for example, is something that was completely ruined by the anime because the importance of high rankers and irregulars and the whole power dynamic wasn’t given so much attention. Urek in the anime just seems like a really strong OP guy that showed up randomly and won’t be important, while in reality he is one of the most powerful active rankers in the entire world with a whole lot of influence, and that just isn’t portrayed in the anime. I feel like the same will be done with the family leaders.

To explain allow me to condense the magic system of the Tower. Tower of GOD uses a magic system that’s the opposite of Hunter x Hunter. The first is external control, the latter is internal control. So as explained on previous floors, those that can impose authority will remain on top. You can self govern Shinsu, solely by yourself. This allows more unique abilities, but limited area of effect. Yet with a team you can govern more Shinsu to be under the group’s authority. The longer one is on a team, will allow the members to grow closer together. Their innate abilities will develop based on the team’s strengths & weaknesses. Yet this creates dependence that others will use against you. With that said the Shinsu manipulation exist similar to Naruto. Where you have a change nature or form. Yet in the tower there aren’t 5, but 7 attributes. Dark, Light, Fire, Air, Water, Earth & Life. There are also 7 properties you can use. Distort, Purity, Intensity, Momentum, Fluctuating, Durability & Enhance. So normal thinking is to use the attribute & property that are most compatible to create your ability. Yet because how simple this is. There are bound to be hundreds of thousands who arrived to the same conclusion. So taking an attribute with a property different will create a more unique ability. Yet this means the learning curve is much higher. So the actions are going to be more simplistic. This is the paradox of the tower. Hence why teams are so fundamental. You can custom tailor you approach. You can have fire affinity then use the durability property to create flaming constructs. They aren’t as hot as if you did intensity & fire, but if you a wave controller meaning you have a broader range of control. Then you can create multiple flaming constructs to bombard your enemies from a distance. I say this because roles, attribute & property, tactics, techniques items & bonds. Is how I keep track of characters. Now irregulars to explain them they themselves are administrators. Meaning their changes to Shinsu are permanent, not temporary. Put this altogether explains why Bam & Uzek are terrifying to regulars. Bam name means Nightsky & Chestnut. I theorize using Distortion & Enhancement. Bam can theoretically create empty space within himself. F.U.G. Realized how simple & deadly this could be. Empty space can be filled by anything. So to instill absolute authority into Bam. Will allow him to create a virtual FLOOR within himself. As if an empty space can grow would mean limitless potential. Uzek on the other hand utilizes white golden lightning. Now it looks simplistic which makes such a difficult thing to fight against in real combat. So the color white speaks to the light attribute. So the most common property is purification. This can allow him to resist effects. So debuffs, restrictions & curses won’t do much against him. He used Fire attribute which has been stated to have the highest attack power than any other attribute. He used Air techniques like air walk. So we know he has affinity to air attribute meaning he also has a wide attack range. We know he uses Life attribute to enhance his physical performance. They used the word gold. So my thought was this must be his unique ability. Gold is a metal and this can be said to Fire + Earth, then using properties to gain either crystalline or metallic qualities. So altogether we know Uzek has Light, Fire, Air, Earth & Life. To the exact degrees of each he has skill in is unknown. Yet the most terrifying and OP part is he can use all these attributes at once into a Quasi-Element. Being hit an attack with so many attributes makes his attacks basically unguarded-able. If your hit your taking maximum damage. Then you have to understand if he can fuse altogether for white gold lightning. That also means he can use other elements that can be derived from these attributes. I don’t know if he has Water or Dark attributes. I’m sure has some affinity to these probably he’s least specialist.
@@CipherDVoid May she rest in peace. that's seems like a really good idea that I might benefit from as well that we might have your mother to thank for. But honestly, would you say that it has enhanced your experiences when consuming fiction, like TOG for example?
I like season 2 so far but I'm also a longtime manwa reader and Ill admit I'm just excited to see these moments animated at all, even if looking back I can see how cheap some scenes look.
I don't remember very well but i think urak said something about high rankers with the title opera in response to prince attack. I think that it could be nice to speak about that in the next video
Relativisticly speaking, time does move slower the further you are from gravity, so in a tower, it would make sense time should pass slower as you climb
I'm still watching since i'm interested in where the story goes from here, but man it's such a shame the quality of this season has been so poor. keep the cut content coming please!
Ik this is a dumb question but is this world set IN the tower? Like is this some ginormous tower that everyone's living in? Or is it just a plain world and people just go in the tower to see if they're fit to climb the tower (so kinda like a dungeon system)?
Everything we've seen is inside the tower except for the location the irregulars Bam and Rachel came from. The place all the regulars come from is the outer tower (still inside the tower), and the inner tower is where the floor tests take place.
It's not a dungeon system. THE WHOLE TOWER = THE WHOLE WORLD It have millions of locations and billions of population. One villain even killed 1 billion people and it's not a big problem. The King be like: Yeah let him kill 1 billion people. I don't care.
S2 is lack luster, there arent alot of Rachel pushing Bam moments. Leaving us with that anger in S1 probably made people expectations that much bigger.

I hope tower of god getting remake anime with solo leveling , 86 eighty six and current remake anime spice and wolf good treatment with 25 to 27 / 28 episodes ( frieren and current mission yakazura family type ) with 2 cours system . Those episodes have 25 to 27 minutes long time duration with full 1 chapter or max 1.5 to 2 chapter adapt in 1 episodes.
Loved the style of season 1, it gave the manhwa's style better background and spacing while keeping its "flavor", but in the kali yuga nothing is sacred and you will see every piece of art turned against itself as a mockery.
Urek held back all the time, he just likes putting up a show. No way he wouldn't hold back against regulars still climbing. He's one of the strongest beings in the tower. Him not holding back and he would end up destroying Zygaena too.
The direction, storyboarding and subsequent animation is horrific for this adaptation. One thing you didn't mention (even though you mentioned the authors notes earlier) is the fact that sustaining a cut from Bam after the 'fight' was considered as one of the biggest mistakes by the author himself, because he felt that it set the power level in completely the wrong spot, given Urek should basically be untouchable to anybody but the top 10 rankers. And given what we know about his actual power level, he is obviously not fighting with even 0.5% of his actual power, given that even about 5% of his power is a problem for the tower administrators.
The final batch I believe is shipping the week of the 16th. There was a delay in sourcing the blanks from the supplier but we just got that resolved! Thanks for asking.
Just a heads up, im sure you got an email too but the blanks got delayed a bit longer so the production is gonna be another 2 weeks. It really sucks that it got pushed back again but I just wanted to let you know. Sorry about that!
That was retconed, as later we see.. Urek using less than that with only his finger blowing away a bunch of High Rankers of which was one was KARAKA. and SIU himself admitted the first fight between Urek and BAM was scaled horribly.
@@hououinotaku2819 True, forgot about that. Still shows how strong he is in either scenario though. 1% or less and being that strong while not trying is absurd.
Damn, I have been enjoying the season but this makes it feel bad. I just kind of assumed it was not much of a fight. Seeing not only it was at least a small fight, but also seeing a game had a far better animation sequence then the anime... sad to see its not getting a great adaptation as an anime only.
The jump between the mazino fight and the episode after is jarring, is there major skipped content there because as someone who only watches the anime i had no idea what tf was going on with a random test against random people and all of a sudden bam is ok again like what happened
I've been enjoying the new season and I find much of the complaints to be annoying. People complained about the animation of the first season and this apparently isn't good enough either
People wanted a different show. They thought, for some inexplicable reason, that this series was only about fighting. That's all anyone in the general audience cares about and is what they're complaining about. Fans who care about the story and characters have been enjoying the Season cuz it's good. I think Urek was handled well in this episode, and going off a fighting game cinematic that adds moments to the fight to say they could've done more is a bit ridiculous. Time constraints on anime episodes don't exist for video games. It just sux that this anime is getting so much hate, for both seasons, because people can't manage their expectations.
For me personally, the art style of an anime is hardly worth complaining about. When Viole was charging up his Shinsu Fist-thing, it looked pretty damn good. Even the Mazino vs Viole fight was adapted alright. I would have to disagree with that Mazino’s pressure and atmosphere was somehow “lackluster”. The way how Mazino is portrayed as this powerful demon with a carefree attitude even when facing Viole and his team is enough to communicate that they might as well be worms to him The only complaint I have about season 2 is the lack of explanation. Viole’s Shinsu abilities are never explained. What’s Shibisu, Hatz, and the others doing? How come Khun only made it to Floor 29 that Viole and his team caught up in a couple of months?
You made a comment about not all anime getting the JJK treatment, but Wistoria has way better fight scenes in multiple episodes. The production company for ToG could have put a bit more into this fight.
As a webtoon reader tower of god season 2 turn into classroom of the elite s1 to s3 type mid adaption treatment again . They adapt 91% to 94% or max 94.5% ( shorter than weekly manga chapter with 13 pages ) webtoon source material and cut some small minor scene / dialogue . It was sad because tog anime deserve better than this mid adaption . Outside of that im supporting tog s2 because i want more tower of god anime season in the future .
I so badly wanted to like this season. I was also willing to forgive the art style change from the unique and cool one from season one. But somehow, each episode this season has only gotten worse and now I'm questioning if part of the issue is the source material. I can't remember when the last time was that I watched an adaptation so bad that it had me questioning the source material. I pray to whichever god is listening that season 2 for Solo Leveling doesn't fall off like ToG did
Season two has felt very lackluster to the point where I quit watching it and will probably revisit it at a later point. The story feels very out of place or missing tons of context, so I appreciate not having to read anything and consuming cut content videos instead!
I was pretty excited that we got a new season of ToG but I’m disappointed. The animation and artstyle is nowhere near season one. Looks flat cheap and too glossy. The pacing I think is off (didn’t read the manga) and overall it’s not that captivating like season one was. But I’m still very happy to see what happened after bam was betrayed. And I love those videos like always. Can’t wait for the next ToG cut content video!
Season 2 is not just animation issue, it feels like a proper director is totally missing! I am very disappointed in the plot slideshow without any anime-intrinsic added value we got...

This is amazing bro, is it that you've re-read the Manhwa recently or something else?
@@hououinotaku2819 Nah my mother (RIP) taught me to take notes when I enjoy something.
@@CipherDVoid May she rest in peace. that's seems like a really good idea that I might benefit from as well that we might have your mother to thank for.
But honestly, would you say that it has enhanced your experiences when consuming fiction, like TOG for example?
Vary good notes
@@CipherDVoidnah what in the? Lol.. I mean good job but i had no clue there was even a real structured power system in ToG: thought they just fought 🫠
I like season 2 so far but I'm also a longtime manwa reader and Ill admit I'm just excited to see these moments animated at all, even if looking back I can see how cheap some scenes look.
Just subscribed NOW. I'll wait for your opinion on EP 8-13. More Tower of God content please.
please keep going!!
I don't remember very well but i think urak said something about high rankers with the title opera in response to prince attack. I think that it could be nice to speak about that in the next video
About the rings hansung gave Bams friends I think SIU mentioned that Khun was suspicious of the ring and took them and destroyed them
Its like going from BunnyWalker to Queenbee
Good video
Can you make more for tower god? I want to know what else was missed
Are you going to cover the latest episodes of Tower of God?? 👀 The people need to see the cut content! (It’s me, I’m people)
Ok so glad it's not just me who was feeling that this season has been lacking.
It is a Tower in the meaning that it has floors. We don't know if it is a real megalostructure or a big layered dimension. It is a part of mistery.
Everything we've seen is inside the tower except for the location the irregulars Bam and Rachel came from.
The place all the regulars come from is the outer tower (still inside the tower), and the inner tower is where the floor tests take place.
It's not a dungeon system. THE WHOLE TOWER = THE WHOLE WORLD
It have millions of locations and billions of population. One villain even killed 1 billion people and it's not a big problem. The King be like: Yeah let him kill 1 billion people. I don't care.
LOVE IT
S2 is lack luster, there arent alot of Rachel pushing Bam moments. Leaving us with that anger in S1 probably made people expectations that much bigger.
More please! 😁
hey, I purchased a Genesis Tee back near the end of July (29) and was wondering when I could expect to receive or be notified that is has been shipped...
Ill take a look for you! Whats the order number?
@@AniNews MP2243
Thanks! Just messaged about it. Ill let you know what the team says once I hear back!
@@AniNews ok cool
Looks like we have it planned to ship out on the week of the 16th. So keep an eye out for an email with the tracking info then!
Will you make a second channel about doujin reviews? Ultradegen does them, i'm sure with your professional ways you can make people discover amazing sauces
I lowkey didn't realize it was out til the 3rd ep dropped. To say its been mildly disappointing would be accurate imo
What’s the best way to wash the new beginnings merch?
The direction, storyboarding and subsequent animation is horrific for this adaptation.
One thing you didn't mention (even though you mentioned the authors notes earlier) is the fact that sustaining a cut from Bam after the 'fight' was considered as one of the biggest mistakes by the author himself, because he felt that it set the power level in completely the wrong spot, given Urek should basically be untouchable to anybody but the top 10 rankers.
And given what we know about his actual power level, he is obviously not fighting with even 0.5% of his actual power, given that even about 5% of his power is a problem for the tower administrators.
hi im a huge fan of your video since i started likeing the anime and could you plz explain the ultimate skill azathoth god of void
More please!
When do the shirts ship promoted on earlier videos? No rush, just curious 😁
The final batch I believe is shipping the week of the 16th. There was a delay in sourcing the blanks from the supplier but we just got that resolved! Thanks for asking.
@@AniNews glad to hear a lot of people probably supported and bought shirts 😊
I ordered mine Aug 8th, thanks for the update!
Just a heads up, im sure you got an email too but the blanks got delayed a bit longer so the production is gonna be another 2 weeks. It really sucks that it got pushed back again but I just wanted to let you know. Sorry about that!
@@AniNews alright, thanks for the heads up. I appreciate it, No worries man!
another please!!
more tog vids pls!!
Hi Sam!
what happened to the TOG videos?
Also no stream this Sunday Sam?
I will be streaming
IIRC Urek even says in the Manhwa that he's using like 1% of his power here lmao.
More tower of god content please my friend, do justice to the series the anime failed to provide
The jump between the mazino fight and the episode after is jarring, is there major skipped content there because as someone who only watches the anime i had no idea what tf was going on with a random test against random people and all of a sudden bam is ok again like what happened
Can we get some more!!!!
The way how Mazino is portrayed as this powerful demon with a carefree attitude even when facing Viole and his team is enough to communicate that they might as well be worms to him
The only complaint I have about season 2 is the lack of explanation. Viole’s Shinsu abilities are never explained. What’s Shibisu, Hatz, and the others doing? How come Khun only made it to Floor 29 that Viole and his team caught up in a couple of months?
Season 2 is trash overall
Did hear mention of bam protecting the girl during the fight
I so badly wanted to like this season. I was also willing to forgive the art style change from the unique and cool one from season one. But somehow, each episode this season has only gotten worse and now I'm questioning if part of the issue is the source material. I can't remember when the last time was that I watched an adaptation so bad that it had me questioning the source material. I pray to whichever god is listening that season 2 for Solo Leveling doesn't fall off like ToG did
Top 10 characters in Tower of God are such a big deal that even after 600 chapters, Only urek mazino has actually showed up✌️
The hell? Im literally up to date and we recently got backstory of Traumerei incident with most family leaders shown...
@@kjyu Traumerai and Gustang are not top 10. Arie hon and Khun haven't actually showed up yet, we only got their flashback.
Where is the tensura video of this week ?
Itll be out in a few days. Gonna talk about the tournament
Season two has felt very lackluster to the point where I quit watching it and will probably revisit it at a later point. The story feels very out of place or missing tons of context, so I appreciate not having to read anything and consuming cut content videos instead!
I have really enjoyed season 2!
I wish TOG had gotten the castlevania treatment
More more more!!!
Pretty sad that they fumbled this season especially with the animations cause the story seems very interesting might just read the manwha atp
Idk how they gon make an anime focused on epic battles
But cut out all the epic battles
More videos please
Ngl i no realized urek mazuno didn't even use 1% of his strength bruh😅
I was pretty excited that we got a new season of ToG but I’m disappointed. The animation and artstyle is nowhere near season one. Looks flat cheap and too glossy. The pacing I think is off (didn’t read the manga) and overall it’s not that captivating like season one was. But I’m still very happy to see what happened after bam was betrayed.
And I love those videos like always. Can’t wait for the next ToG cut content video!
Season 2 has been disappointing me so much im starting 2 hav shield hero flashbacks. 😩
I’m so damn confused with this anime I need your guidance
Lmao they should’ve just licensed to cinematic from the video game that actually looked good
TOWER OF BABY
I'm glad I'm not the only one not happy with season 2
Season 2 is not just animation issue, it feels like a proper director is totally missing!
I am very disappointed in the plot slideshow without any anime-intrinsic added value we got...
