- Here's a quick video that will show you how to fix or unlock steering wheel lock issue on Mercedes Benz Cars. Firstly, you will need to turn your streering wheel hard right or left depending on which direction has space for the wheel to turn, then insert the key and start the car (clockwise). Hope this video helps!

This didn’t work for me , I tried a lot of times even on different days. But it was useful because it could’ve worked it was just my luck that the steering wheel unfortunately was in a bad position so even though it was locked it acted as if it wasn’t. Couldn’t lock my car because of it unless I used key that came with fob. To my surprise though I found an alternative method the “Hard copy” fob which I hope many still have access to if still having this problem. It registered and let me turn ignition even though with other fob it wasn’t working with the hard copy it did! God did 🙏😁. Was trying for 3 days to get it back operational, happy to say it now is 🙏! Just got it back started this morning with the “Hard copy” key fob

I have the same problems on my e550 Coupe..a steering wheel it was locked, No light come on in the dashboard ? when I insert the key in to ignition turn it to start , it won't do anything ? after I saw your you tube video and it was easy to follow how to do it. it does working as normal and thank you so much for your video !!!

I have a 2007 CLK 350 I just got the key from Mercedes when I put the key in it says please wait key is programming the steering wheel is locked and it only goes into position one it does not move but I can unlock the doors the lights blinked and the trunk any ideas?
Best to get a certified mechanic to look unto this, could be the programming/computer or software issue

I got quoted $2700 for a new steering wheel at Mercedes dealer. Please help… the car was in great condition before I turned the wheels too far. I cannot afford this repair.. I paid $4000 for extended warranty on the vehicle and OF COURSE they are saying it’s not covered!

it was cheaper for me to install a keyless-go system. when the key wont turn, which is almost ALWAYS, I press a button to start the car

My SL500 Mercedes having a problem something like that but my car still cranks up but my steering wheel is locked it wouldn't turn at all just move forward & backwards

@@jumuahabdussalaam3348 i push hard the staring weel left and right and finally something broke inside and the stirring wasn’t locked anymore. Then start the car Normally. Since then stiring lock do not work anymore, but really i don’t know who need this future.
