    Just wanted to say a massive thanks as I just passed my CBT today.Though I didn't learn with yourselves, these vids helped me immensely! All fine when picking up speed, doing life savers (your vids really drummed it into me hahaha) but need to work on my clutch/throttle/rear break controll on slow manoeuvres when I do get a bike - lots of empty car parks for me to practise on.
    Just two things if anyone else is planning on doing CBTs - remember these are 'school' bikes - so though they may be serviced regularly, they are as tight as top of the range bikes. I had afew times where the light illuminating what gear I'm in just went black. Also, I rode a Honda CB125F. I'm 5'7" with a 32" inner leg and could flat foot it comfortably....however, I also weigh 72kg. That so called 'small' bike was a mission to move around for me....talk about a proper work out 😂😂😂 lord only knows how folks manage stuff like the Hayabusa and Africa Twins 😂
    Anyay, all that aside...I'm now a CBT pass and looking at small bikes that will suit my needs for now. Thanks, in no small part to RJH 🙏🙏❤

    So i am coming up for 17 and i REALLY want to start riding, i have no experience with riding a motorcycle at all, so how would i build up to get my CBT? also, is there any taxes i would have to pay such as road tax? Thanks!

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining

      Always recommend a taster before CBT if your unsure. I have people completing 3/4 tasters before they are ready for CBT, but bear in mind everyone is different. Check with your choice of ATB. Yes on riding a motorcycle there are road tax, insurance etc....

    A couple of questions.. Ive got my 125cc bike, I have a CBT booked, the question is how do I get it there ?
    I cant ride it on the road until I have my cbt certificate !
    Also, my insurance will be higher without the cbt, than with surely ??

      You are not allowed to ride your bike until you complete your CBT. Contact your training provider and they can advise. If I were you I would use one of their bikes.

      Still thought it was good. Surprised how basic you start (this is a helmet and these are the types etc) you really do approach it as if the students know nothing. I would have thought that anyone interested in doing it would have done some reading up on certain things like myself.(a lot of reading !!)
      BUT I guess you have to not presume they know nothing and start at the very beginning !

      to be fair the instructor is making the basic mistake of looking for constant feedback every 5 secs with his yeah?, yeah?.. even for rhetorical questions. you cannot teach like that. people will switch off if you want some acknowledgement every few seconds like that, it shows inexperience as an instructor and will generally irritate your students to the point they stop learning

      I think CBT should become a test in the sense that you can fail or pass. The less attention you pay here in the classroom and out on the yard, the less you'll pay on the road as you are not taking in the information being taught to you. Unless the girl's awareness picked up 100%, I'd not even do the yard exercise with her.

      Its his job to speak and teach them they shouldnt have to be enthusiastic they just have to pay attention ffs and why are the comments only about the girl the guy is doing the exact same .......

      CBT in a week then onto mod1+2 after that's complete :) wish I lived closer I'd definitely use you guys as I've learned so much from your videos! question for you about leathers how tight should they be as I've tried a few different jackets and trousers on and I'm just not feeling comfortable at all always feel too tight or too loose in the chest when I get into riding position. Thanks :)

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  7 років тому

      Leather stretches/gives and becomes looser so I would always wear them snug at first. They do get more comfortable as time goes on.

      cause they useully make you listen to a lecture about helmets and when your happy with the helmet you have you don't really see that as useful so it ends up being a waste of time

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  9 років тому

      +Conrad Mason It certainly is interesting. I would'nt say it was a waste of time either! One of our 1st videos which we are pleased with. Since then they have come a long way. Have a look at some of the others, lots of useful info in our other video's and feel free to comment on our progress!!

    • @conradmason87
      @conradmason87 9 років тому

      I'm not sure what your definition of a waste of time is but, given that most of the instruction can not be heard apart from by those actually on the course ie the two people sitting in the room, I think we'll agree to differ on that one.

    • @RJHMotorbikeTraining
      @RJHMotorbikeTraining  9 років тому

      +Conrad Mason I can certainly hear sufficiently Conrad, and I must point out its our 2nd highest viewed video. However as i said in my previous message it was one of our 1st video's. Perhaps you would like to subscribe to our channel and view some that have improved over the last 6 months?

    I can't stand people who say 'yeah' at the end of every sentence. I suppose it is just a sign of nerves, but it is very wearing after a while.
