it’s refreshing to see folks react to this who can think critically about shortcomings in the US healthcare system/culture as a whole. it’s so common to view drug use as a purely individual failure, but we see constantly that it’s the failure of systems, too
rues story in euphoria is amazing, especially as someone who was addicted to drugs. certain parts of this show are very cringey and overdramatized but when it comes to how it portrays addiction, top notch.
Ashtray also aint that uncommon, one of my best friends used to sell meth on the streets of detroit when he was young. Shit crazy

This show was definitely parts of my life from 18-23. I think a lot of young people chase wild dangerous times. Now in my 30s I'm glad it's long over 😅
i'm cool with it but the fact that they won't put euphoria reactions on here until season 3 release date drops is crazy. they shouldn't have even put this episode on here in that case lol. filming for S3 starts this month and will last for the rest of this year and you'd get a release date for S3 in summer next year lol
There's no way they start this month, most of the cast are doing different projects and in a Maude interview released last week it said S3 is expected to start shooting in the latter part of the year
@@millsrome then it's pushed back. most industry production sheets had S3 production start this month. whether that's pre-prod or not, wasn't clear though. regardless, production was listed to take place for majority of the year, if it's pushed back and principle photography starts in the later part of this year then that puts a release date into Q4 of next year or Q1 of 2025 lol which would be hard considering House of the Dragon will be late Q1 or early Q2. HBO LOVES to hold on to completed productions until they can squeeze them into award slots lol.
@@donjas8137 The problem with Euphoria is the writer/director Sam Levinson and it's not just an Euphoria problem since it has been the same story with his other production (the show with The Weeknd) so yes, it has been delayed and it probably has to do with him

It was second season that people said was bad.

@@YourBlackLocal The second season was just as critically acclaimed as the first, its just that this time Twitter decided the entire season was bad by the time the 3rd episode aired and the narrative stuck. I bet those same people still loved it on a episode by episode basis. A lot of the criticism of season 2 boiled down to people being upset that their favorite character didn't do what they wanted them to, not any actual problems with what was put on screen. And its understandable, a lot of people binged it during the 2 1/2 years between seasons and built up expectations. Its not a perfect show by any means, but I also think its the kind of show that people are embarrassed to say is "good".

I know some people have these experiences in HS, but one of the biggest critiques is that this coulda just been college because most of us can relate to that more (particularly the parties and amount of substances, and the absence of parenting). Idk the choice to make it HS, but it raises some of the stakes and validates the immaturity.

Awesome series… very real shit for kids around that age. I was definitely going through this type of stuff during 2001-2005 high school days.
Exactly, and people like to say that euphoria is so unrealistic and I will agree that some things aren’t realistic but the issues and many other things in Euphoria are very realistic.
I really like the themes of the first season and the bonus episodes were some of my favourite although I'm not really for adults playing teens but season 2 I had a lot of problems with. I feel they just escalated everything to a point were I just didn't get a lot of it.
Season 2 was a hot ass mess with a few excellent moments

I love this show so much because this was my high school experience, like being influenced by the drinking and the smoking it was not a good thing but Yk it was my experience and watching other people talk about or do all these hard drugs and yes it does suck that it’s happening in high schools but Yk that’s was a lot of peoples experience and I loved how it kinda gave us a peak in this life

Yeah ridden my bike borderline black out drunk too. Once I was so wasted I couldn't unlock it so I just walked home (like 6 miles)
I would NOT recommend it. I mean it's cool when you are tipsy and its like 2 AM and summer, it's kind of a vibe. But being wasted, it's 5 AM or some shit and it's middle of the winter? Not a good experience for sure.
And ironically I had zero accidents while biking drunk and broke my ass like 5 times while sober in the past 3 years or so (but I basically go everywhere on my bike so it's bound to happen).

As much as I love euphoria, I gotta admit it's hella unrealistic.
They say it's supposed to show "the reality of drugs, sex and high school life", but nobody acts like this in high school. College maybe, but in college you gotta do some studying, while these characters never do lol.
That’s just based off of your experience on high school. My experience was a replicate of this, and ur also forgetting this show is about the drug students, not the students who study and care for their grades
