- Out of all the spots i have documented Nazare is most scary to film but at the same time it can be so rewarding. From the beginning on my first visit back in 2016 i was set up on the hill. There is a million spots to shoot from with a million other cameramen & women doing the same thing. So wanted something a little more exclusive. The water angle is it. Once your out there your nerves go into overdrive. You seriously need to trust your jet-ski driver. Dino Carmo is my man. Having being a professional bodyboarder and lived all his life at Nazare, Dino knows the Nazare line up like no other. Once your in the line up Dino puts you right deep inside where the moving mountains unload. He's incredibly focused and at all times constantly reassuring me that we are safe. It's so intense. Last season with the 25 days on the water this edit shows 14 minutes of my best vision.
I cant wait for my ninth season coming real soon. ENJOY!

Dancing with Monsters is the most appropriate title I can imagine. Watching this video, where massive waves the size of office buildings chase and attempt to crash down on the men at their feet, gives me a tiny glimpse of nature at its most majestic.
Tim continues to push the envelope to encapsulate the pure essence and raw power of these deadly waves . 10 pts to his trusted jetski rider and hats off to the surfer's that brave these gigantic monsters !

Some epic footage, much respect for the photographic skills and risk taking involved. Turn off the sound and listen to All Them Witches as the backing track. "Hares on the Mountain" or "Am I going Up? "blend seamlessly with the slow motion footage. Their music seems to suit such evocative and awe inspiring imagery. i have no connection to the band, I am an Aussie, they are from Nashville. Hope to see them live before I die.

Awesome water footage. The only thing I'd add would be a couple waves in normal speed with the original sound just because it's so much more intense.

Love your work Tim! I'll be spending the month of January in Nazare and these days I go to bed each night dreaming of massive waves breaking there every day for the whole time I'm there. Your work is very inspiring and I look forward to shooting from the cliffs. Cheers!

Caraca, vendo essas montanhas liquidas, me lembrei que semana passada aqui na minha praia(Farol de São Tome/Campos/RJ) estava um pouco menor, fui correndo chamar a galera e cada um dava aquela desculpa esparrafada( estou gripado, vou pro cursinho de alemão, vou levar minha irmazinha na creche, bla-bla-bla) o jeito foi enfrentar as ondas sozinho, quando cheguei no pico e vi aquela serie no horizonte, como um exercito marchando em minha direção, meu coração veio na boca, olhei pro Ceu fiz minha oração e deixei a primeira da serie passar, pois pensei, vai que eu tomo uma vaca e as outras ondas que vem atras me atropelam? Quando olho para a segunda onda, era ela, me posicionei e remei, quando estava no drop, escutei uma voz que me dizia: Geraaaaaaaaaaaldo! KKk.
