As an owner of a serica 5303, this watch has me feeling all sorts of ways. Firstly, I feel like I overpaid for the Serica and now due to the bad publicity of Serica, it’ll be hard to resell. But I’m mostly burnt about the movement, it would be one thing if the original and the clone had etas, I would feel like I’m supporting the original design of the watch. The fact that the clone has an arguably better movement though is very frustrating
Serica's still sell very quickly at the $900usd mark. Before the jody video it was averaging 1000-1100usd. The blue dial blue bezel on still holds high value it seems. I like the smaller size of the real Serica tbh. But prefer the the movement in the IPOSE
@@EscapementWatch I have a question, is it possible to buy the Selitta movement and swap the Soprod on that Serica? The movement is around $200 I suppose, but does it fit everything else?!
Not sure I never opened up the serica. It may have same interior dimensions which would mean it is possible. But the case on the outside is off 1 mm bigger and 1.5mm longer. I'm guessing if it did fit serica would have just updated their 2nd and 3rd batches with sw200's. Could be wrong tho
I wanted to buy a 5303 so much but I was waiting until they had resolved the movement issue. I prefer the no date, the smaller size, the display caseback and the look of the soprod Newton but I don't want to buy a movement that I'm not sure will function correctly.

I am from China, I can tell you what this is. "IPOSE" is slightly altered from the Chinese pronounciation of "I'd love to tell you the time". This watch is custom made by a Chinese watch collector community, they came up with this idea collectively and contacted a factory in China to make this.
@toyamakasumi3182 custom made design by a Chinese watch collector community? No. It's a cheap xerox copy by a firm who steals designs from microbrands.
I admit the value is definitely here. But, this may be a little hypocritical, I think homages or copies are fine with large established brands. They have the much more massive customer base and just the power to sustain no matter how many "copies" of their products are out there. When it comes to young microbrands that are trying to establish themselves in a super competitive market, such copies that undermine the hard work and efforts of the original design creators/owners is much more harmful. So, I can't agree this doesn't adversely effect the microbrands in any way if not even a little.. I imagine it should quite a bit since the price gouging is so great. But, there simply is no way to enforce design infringements so microbrands are simply screwed. It's really up to the conscious-minded consumers to help or destroy microbrand growth and success.
Fair points Krono! I get your point of view. For a small microbrand it is a CRISIS and will probably keep happening from now on. (if a design is seen as popular) I'm more on the side of, if Homage is ok for the big guys it is okay for everyone. You either support homages or against homages. Not "it depends on the size of company" But if Serica can continue to keep customers happy with their higher quality of customer service then they are going to be fine. No factory brand will ever be able to compete with the level of service or personal touch a micro can provide! Agreed that in the end the consumer will decide as always.
Hate to say it homie, as a person who invested in both ends of the market. The Chinese are giving these companies a run for their money. Some of the watches I have received have better movements and better polishing (and of course sapphire) for 4 to 5 times cheaper than their Swiss and Japanese counterpart. China has always been known for this, as the place to get things straight from the source. Now though, they're not ripping off a brand. They're taking an established design, making it a spec monster and selling it for crazy cheap margins
I have this watch with the PT5000 movement. Love the watch.. is it perfect,NO, but as I paid $220 for it on AE have zero issues. And yes be careful till you’re used to the bracelet, didn’t have it properly clasped the very first time I wore it and it fell off onto my tile floor damaging a lug. Thankfully not noticeable on wrist. For the record, wanted a Serica, but was afraid of the movement, saw the ipose, and would say at 1/6th the price you can’t beat it with a stick. If you’re a homage hater, it is not for you, if you don’t mind a homage, save yourself a ton of money and buy it.
I have a Serica 5303-3 and the ipose IX & DAO Cali dial mash up. So technically there's no direct copy lol. But beyond that I do like the mash up version and have the PT5000 movement which is a tad gritty when winding but for the price I can forgive it. The main differences are the movement, lug to lug (ipose is a bit longer) bezel movement, and font. I enjoy it and mainly use it when running errands.
I loved the Serica design, but avoided the watch because the movement issues for the price that Serica charge is unacceptable. This could be a good solution, great review and videography thanks.
Did you notice that the Chinese copy added some minute markers on the bezel between 40 and 45 - and they got them completely WRONG… Once you‘ve seen it, you cannot unsee it.
Lol yeah they split the 5 minutes into 4, so it basically shows you 1m15s intervals 😂 that’s basically like writing “S0th anniversary” instead of “50th” on a dial. And this is even a “V2”

Great video - Beautiful photography. I've looked at and almost pulled the trigger on a Serica then saw this. It has me thinking about the same things you mentioned. Do the little details make enough of a difference to justify a $750(approx) price difference? Serica is not a brand like Seiko, Rolex, Omega that people know and can call out from 20ft away. 200m vs. 300m, 99.9% of us are never taking it in anything more than a shower or pool. As far as movements, I actually like having the options. I have half a dozen watches with ETA movements and have not had any issue. If there ever is, they are easy to have sorted or serviced almost anywhere. Thank you for another great video. Keep up the great work.
Yes that's 💯 right about ETA movement's. Servicing is very easy 👌 I do enjoy in house movement's and own 3 watches with in house movements but the whole subject is becoming very overrated. I take a Valjoux 7750,Lemania 5100 and a SW-510 over most in house chronograph movement's
Oscar Wilde said, "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery," so perhaps they should be glad. That being said, even though I collect watches, I'd never heard of the Serica 5303 until I saw reviews for this watch... so the question becomes, would I have purchased the Serica 5303 at over $1,100? No, for that amount I would have looked elsewhere to a more well known mid-tier Swiss watch. But, for $259, I pulled out the credit card for this one poste-haste. Sorry, Serica, perhaps you're flattered but, I would imagine, not in a good way.
Shame. I have two watches from Serica and haven’t had any issues with them. I love the designs, differences in models, and I do think they want to ensure QC. I would say nothing is better than the actual watches, and I wouldn’t promote fakes. Seems wrong. Why don’t you get Jerome on your channel and ask him the tough questions?
I am not in favor of these direct rip-offs (let's just use that word instead of "homage" or "clone") BUT i would add that Serica's QC problems and customer service problems AND the poor decision not to put their brand name on the dial, left the door wide open for this...
The 200m of water resistance is plenty for more than 90% of owners and the savings more than make up for the difference. I have one on order, the blue and white dial, I have two friends who own the Serica and both are waiting for my watch to arrive and if it's any good then they are selling the Serica and buying the ipose (both have had a problem with the crown and Serica are getting reluctant to repair it saying instead it is a design feature, yeah right. Personally I am really looking forward to getting my hands on it. The more reviews I am seeing the more I am looking forward to the watch.
@Simon Andersen the watch is excellent, but the movement you choose makes a big difference. I have to recommend that you choose one of the swiss movements the PT5000 movement is a decent movement, but the swiss ones are just better, I chose the Sellita SW200 and it is running well, but it's up to you 👍
@@rava2107 Sweet! I was considering going for the ETA. Love the design, but the Soprod movement debacle and Sericas lack of handling the issue, has put me off the original.
@Simon Andersen I felt exactly the same, with having a couple of friends who bought the Serica, their experience stopped me from buying one. This watch has been a pleasure to wear and with it having the SW200 movement I have no worries about the watch, so if you are looking at one I honestly can't recommend the watch enough and I own other watches with all three of the movements available. The only reason I had for purchasing one with the Swiss movement is that the PT5000 can be not properly lubricated, especially the winding stem lubrication, but otherwise, the PT5000 is a good movement.
@@rava2107 Thank you for the very elaborate answer! SW200 might be an option too. 2824 is just a classic you know. And still very reasonably priced imho. I'm always a little bummed about plastic movement holders though.. but they're prevalent in these price ranges.
I just bought it in the same website for 300 euros with the SW200 movement and black dial. This watch looks as amazing as the original one, I can´t understand how they made it.
Wow, loved this episode man, really good content. I didn't know these things about FC, and some other facts and info that you gave was actually amazing. Now about the watch itself, I liked it and to some extent liked it better than the original because of the newton movement issues that Serica just ignored and labeled it as "features" and continue to use those without considering the customer's criticism. The only thing I didn't like about this watch is the dial itself, it looks kinda cheap and the printings were not great also but overall a good watch. Thanks for this great episode, keep up the good work ✌🏼
I want one. 1k is a lot of watch money for me. I was toying with the idea to save for a Serica, but the whole sooros movement thing and Serica's response was a major no go for me. I think I'm gonna wait tho til Ipose fixes the slightly misaligned bezel markings.
Hi there! Nice presentation as always. I don't know if you still have one of these watches but i am trying to find it's bezel insert dimensions with no luck. I would appreciate any info ❤
Great review as always! Doesn't bother me that this is a homage piece because most people won't even be familiar with the original. Better movement as well. No brainer!
That's pretty killer for the price and you get a more reliable movement. If I were in the market for this I would go with the homage for sure. No one is going to come up to you and say nice Serica anyway.
The aliexpress version improved the original watch with a movement swap. Lol. The problem with these “swiss” microbrands is that they are all chinese parts. There is no copyright adherence and therefore copies all around. Lots of luxury brands do the same. Chinese factories. Nothing wrong with lower costs but you get negatives with it.
Love the channel - great narration and creativity in presentation. Question - the accuracy of the watch was quite good. Are these watches you review sent by the watch company knowing that they'll be tested in the video? Many thanks - keep up the awesome reviews.
I do not think so as companies do send watches that do not preform to well. A future video will be a borealis sponsorship video and it was +15s a day I think
The look of the link between the watch case and the bracelet on the Serica 5303 (the original design) really reminds me of some Casio watches, especially the A1000M vintage model of Casio. Did they take design cues from that style of Casio watches?
I got my black PT5000 version from Watchdives too. Well, the watch case is good and nice, so is the bracelet. But. Mine has to much play on the bezel, and I had to swap mine PT5000. It was broken, the balance screw for rate adjust was not doing anything. The date disc was sticky would not change on itself fully, but half way. The crown action was stiff too. The disappointment is that they have used plastic ring for movement instead metal one. I know PT5000, those are far from bad movements it's just the IX&DAO team did a sh**y Q.C.
Dude, you need to check out the new on they have for this if you missed it. They added a "Californian" face. Which removes the date complication but adds a roman on top and arabic numerals on the bottom. It looks nearly TWICE as good so it's actually priced up on their page for that homeage and it lets you use the Bezel as a GMT.
I don't have a problem with homages that take clues from famous or classic designs. I haven't really wanted a watch that exactly copies more expensive watches, but haven't been judgmental about 300 dollar watches copying styles of 3000 dollar watches, But I must say I can't see myself feeling good about wearing a nearly exact copy of a watch that recently came out with a new and unique design.
Serica shot themselves in the foot with that shitty movement fiasco. I really like the design and thinking of getting the Ipose with an ETA 2824, $399. Better movement in a watch that's $750 cheaper!
Respectfully, I acknowledge the serica is well crafted with better dimensions than the homage. However, it does take heavy inspiration from Omega with broad arrow bands, bracelet similar to the bond seamaster. and lug design. only thing I can see different is the bezel. so essentially, serica is somewhat of a homage watch with a problematic movement and a high price. It’s hard not to choose The homage of the homage here, especially at the lower price. It’s not like serica has much more heritage or history than the homage watch brand.
This is true, the history is a big part of sticking to the original. I rather have a real Willard vs a Steeldive for example. And Serica has no sway. They could have a large loyal following in the next decade or 2 if they are still around.
thank you for this video. I've been following serica 5303 since the launch but I didn't buy one due to its known crown issues. It is hard to believe when they demand over 1k for a watch with known QC issues. One thing you didn't check is that ipose watch crystal is sapphire coated I believe. There was another youtube with a crystal checker and it doesn't quite hit the sapphire mark. Possibly lower grade sapphire/ or just coating. Great video !
Can you provide some more clarity on the differences between the movements? Also, I noticed that there are different V1 and V2 models. Any insight on the difference there? (Sorry if already addressed)
Have you had any issues with the clasp coming loose? Happened 3 times now and dropped to the floor. Luckily this was at home. I’m too scared to wear it out now unless I change the damn strap
Honestly I understand that the Chinese copy big brands because they make huge amount of money. but copying 1for1 from a microbrand that made so much effort to deliver an original design,is disgusting. if you wear a fake watch, you are fake.
Great video yes 👍 it definitely happened to Rolex with the copying but when I wear my Submariner 14060m it makes me feel good I got the real deal on the wrist
Love the review Bro! This answers alot. I love Serica but the size is too small. So definite YES for this! I was wondering about using eta 2824 and now you have answered it! One question remains.. can you tell me whether the date alignment is spot on? Some say with pt5000 the date alignment is not so. Thanks Bro
I've always had the infamous rotor spin, reverser gear issues with the sw200's. I can also tell if I'm winding up a true ETA or a SW200. The ETA is smoother slightly and less chalky feel. For those reasons I'll usually choose eta over sellita when it comes to the these 2 calibers
I've always had issues with the Sellita movement the rotor always starts spinning when I turn the crown the reverser gear issues seems like an inevitability with Sellita
@@EscapementWatch I have about a 50/50 split between ETA and Sellita movements and to date I haven’t had any issues with either, that being said I will always pick a hand wind over an auto every time. No Rotor No Problem lol
Another great video E-&-Dub. Thumbs up given! One correction: In the beginning of the third chapter "Case" The watch is called and mislabled as IX&DAO 5305 It's actually 5303 (just like the Serica😂)
Tandorio 😂👍. £60!! Not so much an homage as a photocopy and with an nh35 mvt. and an ix&dao bracelet around £100 all in.. what's not to love?? Currently got it on a black bund ( white dial / black bezel) whilst waiting for bracelet and it rocks 😁👍
@@EscapementWatch yeah, I know. This is the next stage, the homage to the homage and cheaper yet. Probably all come from the same factory 😂. Amusingly enough the Tandorio has only 3 minute counters from 50-60 mins on the bezel rather than 4. Might be the copyright workaround 🤔
honestly I would have bought a serica a long time ago especially the new GMT if THEY WOULD JUST ADD A DATE. That's going to be the reason for me to buy the homage
I said the ones the swatch group now use like Hamilton H10, Tissot Powermatic etc. The swatch group stated they will stop selling their ETA's to other brands outside their umbrella. I'm saying now they are back tracking now that they have their custom versions for their inhouse brands.
@@EscapementWatch You said starting at 6:00, and I quote, "Now that the Swatch Group has their custom ETA 2428s where [sic] you can't regulate..." Calling them H10 and Powernmatic rather than "custom ETA 2428s" would have clarified what you meant. And what your video shows while you talk about H!0 and Powermatic is actually a standard 2428-2. And whther or not an H10 or Powermatic can be regulated or not is another matter altoghter - they can but not by everyone.
Better movement? Deeper diveability? Who cares? It's the look and the feel of a watch. Replicating that the "I pose" is just a cheap copy. I admit I also bought homage watches. But that led me to buy an original after owning the homage. And it feels so much better wearing it! So perhaps there is also a positive impact for the original brands
unfortunately ipose/ ix&dao has also dropped the ball on the v2. i received my watch today and the dial is not as advertised, there is now an unsightly 'ixdao&ipose' text in a mismatched font above the water rating. text colour is also not as advertised. if you want the clean (albeit potentially wonky movt), maybe sticking to the original serica is the way to go. personally, i would stay away from both brands for now, and re-consider if serica considers another movt instead
I think you misheard the video, I said "usually the homage has a worse movement" Which would mean the steinhart has a worse movement then the rolex it homages. "but in this case it could be argued it is better"
Copying some dusty, shamelessly overpriced Romegawhatever is one thing, copying a young, creative, outstanding while affordable design microbrand is just disgusting. If you can’t even afford a Serica (or if you don’t like the brand), just get a Seiko.
Outside of Europe and Northern America, most people don’t even know who SERICA is, so this homage is actually giving them much more exposure in a global marketplace. The only real problem SERICA has is that their watch is not as good as the homage, and that’s entirely SERICA fault. Rolex is the most copied brand in the world, Louis Vuitton is also the most copied brand in the world, and they are killing it in sales! There’s only one thing, both Rolex and LV make better products than their copies, in this casé SERICA seems to be a greatly designed but overpriced watch.
I've loved your content for some time, but I am disappointed in you giving this blatant ripoff exposure. I don't care if elements of it are better, this knockoff company is capitalizing on the design of another brand...and not some behemoth like Rolex but a small microbrand just finding its wings. Please do better. Also, neither the Serica nor this fake have true lyre lugs...they just replicate the look with clever beveling. Lyre lugs are actually twisted...these just sort of look that way. I wouldn't expect a lower end manufacturer to have the capability to produce lyre lugs.
The movement has nothing to do with the quality control as it is a third party movement. Not an in house serica movement. Also, the stem issue is a flaw in the movement design has nothing to do with Sericas QC.
@@EscapementWatch huh? The movement is the main part of the watch. Just because serica doesn’t make it doesnt exclude them from poor qc. Were there no tests done prior to selecting a movement for their piece? Plus the way they reacted was questionable when confronted with problems. They stated it was within specs and expected!
They bought the movement because it had such incredible specs. On paper it looked great and I'm sure they were assured it was all within spec. No movement manufacturer wants to lose a big client. The manufacturer is at fault here they designed a movement with a flaw and I'm sure it will be ironed out. But it's too late Erica I think already moved on to a different manufacturer which is a smart move. I don't follow the brand so I'm not 100% sure but I believe they switched if they are smart they switch to a better maker
@@EscapementWatch a reputable company would have admitted the mistake and ate the loss. It was very underhanded for them to state there was nothing wrong with the movement. An angry buyer on the forum posted the letter serica replied with stating nothing was wrong. For a company charging over 1k for a watch, better customer service is expected.
I agree Serica didn't handle it well but I totally get their point of view considering how things unfolded. Problem is for Serica, some people got the issue right away, but most it took months to develop. Some people still do not have the issue on their original Serica.
First time doing intro in that space. Sound was all echo and distorted. So I used Ai to clean up the sound. So it changed my voice a little and messed it up. But it is way better then before. I filmed a handful of intros here I might go back to the old spot
I Would still take the original. The copy had a way bigger dial and it throws the proportions off too much. It’s turns a small looking watch into a bigger looking watch. The cool thing about the serica was how small it wears. The copy just wears like any other 40mm dive watch.
@@EscapementWatch You're right, sorry. But I persist in saying that this is not a "hommage" but just a sad copy (same design , same color, even the bracelet is the same)
hey I really like your videos but this one made me uncomfortable. I dont care if you review a rolex homage because thats not stealing from their sales. Serica is a small brand we as enthusiasts should support them so that we can get more original designs not buy or advertise fakes

Really good vid 🤙🏻. I like this piece, and I believe Micro brands are essential- especially for the watch enthusiasts and sensible collectors.
Totally agree!
So what's the conclusion? How's the watch?
Thank you very much for the great review. I purchased the black dial and bezel version with the Sellita movement. Should be good for a daily beater.
An uncastrated 2824-2 NO BS balance that is disposable. A REAL ETA. Just went to their site. I very well may pull the trigger. Great review! Thanks
Serica is in trouble with this one. Fix your movement
Excellent video and you got a new subscriber for it. Loved your balance pov,a true watch enthusiast!
At 2:20 you say that Boldr got cloned?!? Where? Which model? Thanks!
Great review as always and took head on the sensitive and controversial issues of the homage with the iPose v Serica. More like this please👍👏
Sorry I do not have it anymore and I don't know the measurements.
@@EscapementWatch No worries! Thank you for the response!
Great photography! What's your lighting setup?
The aliexpress version improved the original watch with a movement swap. Lol. The problem with these “swiss” microbrands is that they are all chinese parts. There is no copyright adherence and therefore copies all around. Lots of luxury brands do the same. Chinese factories. Nothing wrong with lower costs but you get negatives with it.
Hell, I might actually get this. I like the black dial blue bezel version.
Great review and comparison. This does look more attractive than the Serica
Falling Titan you are a gentleman and a scholar.
Funny how I couldn't bring myself to but the cerica because it had no date but the clone has one so that settles that
I got my black PT5000 version from Watchdives too.
Really like this watch however one thing that lets it down is that print either side of the 6 o'clock
I love my blue version. I modded the bracelet to bling it up a bit, but a great watch overall
Serica shot themselves in the foot with that shitty movement fiasco. I really like the design and thinking of getting the Ipose with an ETA 2824, $399. Better movement in a watch that's $750 cheaper!
At 399 it is hard not to buy!
@@EscapementWatch I am certainly temped lol.
That's a stretch. If the Serica is a homage, the Ipose is a blatant copy. There are not even in the same realm of originality.
@@chriscoleman7181
100% agreed it’s a rip off
thank you for this video. Great video !
welcome. It is sapphire.
Can you provide some more clarity on the differences between the movements? Also, I noticed that there are different V1 and V2 models. Any insight on the difference there? (Sorry if already addressed)
And there's a version 2 coming out
I wonder if they will make the Serica Commando Homage?
Hmm good question if it's popular they probably will
They should put that crest on the dial as a logo... it feels kinda empty without it... other than that yeah... great!
yeah that would actually look good!
Have you had any issues with the clasp coming loose? Happened 3 times now and dropped to the floor. Luckily this was at home. I’m too scared to wear it out now unless I change the damn strap
No I have not had issues with the clasp.
Looks great
It does!
Those movement results! Seiko should be embarrassed.
haah true! The ETA is the king especially in top grade. (this is not top grade in this video)
Right on
Love the review Bro! This answers alot. I love Serica but the size is too small. So definite YES for this! I was wondering about using eta 2824 and now you have answered it! One question remains.. can you tell me whether the date alignment is spot on? Some say with pt5000 the date alignment is not so. Thanks Bro
Glad it was helpful. The date looks pretty good to me but the window is a hair small
The only thing original to serica watch is its dial layout, and it's not pretty. Loved the video, keep them coming!
Out of curiosity why not save the $100 and go with sw200?
I've always had the infamous rotor spin, reverser gear issues with the sw200's. I can also tell if I'm winding up a true ETA or a SW200. The ETA is smoother slightly and less chalky feel. For those reasons I'll usually choose eta over sellita when it comes to the these 2 calibers
Just wondering why you wouldn’t recommend the Sellita movement? I figure that would have been the best bet.
One correction: In the beginning of the third chapter "Case" The watch is called and mislabled as IX&DAO 5305 It's actually 5303 (just like the Serica😂)
thanks! The watchdives site is a bit confusing it says ★Pre-Order★ IX&DAO 5305 Elegant Professional Dive Watch V2 still. But under model it says 5303.
Hey man, where is the best place online to fond pre-owned watches? I use kijiji, I've seen you there.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
reddit is my go to place: search watchexchange and there is watchexchangecanada
nice homage!
It is not NH35 movement. It is PT5000 or Swiss made ETA or SW200-1
The Tandorio is nh35 ( with PT5000 option for a few ££££ more)
OH I dunno what Tandorio is. I'll look it up. This video is the IXDAO
I wish it had a choice or a different bracelet
I’m gonna buy the chinese one and in 2 to 5 years the serica.
Anyone who thinks 200m WR is not enough for them has the bends.
I've never heard they have copied Zelos?
this company did not copy zelos but there was a time when there was some zelos clones
Steeldive copied the Hammerhead
I saw V2 of the ipose launching in March. Does anyone know the difference with V1?
honestly I would have bought a serica a long time ago especially the new GMT if THEY WOULD JUST ADD A DATE. That's going to be the reason for me to buy the homage
I wouldnt review this watch since its not a homage, but more like a fake of Serica..
Why do you say the 2824-2 can't be regulated? I see the fine regulation screw and the coarse adjuster. I also see the adjuster for beat error.
So perhaps there is also a positive impact for the original brands
interesting video for sure......not hard to imagined that it was cloned, probably manufactured in the same chinese factory
Here's to hoping they homage the new GMT as well
That would be great
unfortunately ipose/ ix&dao has also dropped the ball on the v2. i received my watch today and the dial is not as advertised, there is now an unsightly 'ixdao&ipose' text in a mismatched font above the water rating. text colour is also not as advertised.
if you want the clean (albeit potentially wonky movt), maybe sticking to the original serica is the way to go.
personally, i would stay away from both brands for now, and re-consider if serica considers another movt instead
Big no-no! Even if the quality is there it's still a literal knockoff of the Serica. Booo for giving knockoff brands coverage!
Big yes-yes!
As if a Steinhart had a better movement than a Rolex.
Or....people can do what they want with their money 🤷
Outside of Europe and Northern America, most people don’t even know who SERICA is, so this homage is actually giving them much more exposure in a global marketplace. The only real problem SERICA has is that their watch is not as good as the homage, and that’s entirely SERICA fault. Rolex is the most copied brand in the world, Louis Vuitton is also the most copied brand in the world, and they are killing it in sales!
There’s only one thing, both Rolex and LV make better products than their copies, in this casé SERICA seems to be a greatly designed but overpriced watch.
@@clorox1972 very well said 👍🏼
Serica deserves it with their arrogant attitude.
your audio is out of sync with the video - shame because I like the video
We had audio issues in the intro
“It happen to Zelos” Zelos started as a Seiko hommage brand.
If you want something that says "I Pose" on the dial... this is the watch for you haha
Poser
Did you say serica has better QC? Really? Their movements suck.
Aliexpress has the v2 and with the coupon code it comes in at 299 for the sw200 and 233 for the pt5000 with several colorways available.
You intro looks and sounds so weird. Did you rerecord your voice for the intro? Lol.
First time doing intro in that space. Sound was all echo and distorted. So I used Ai to clean up the sound. So it changed my voice a little and messed it up. But it is way better then before. I filmed a handful of intros here I might go back to the old spot
@@EscapementWatch lol. Gotta do what ya gotta do. No digs here, it just looked weird is all. 👍🏻
as long as its watchable. I don't think others have noticed
people that prefer a date on their dive watch like chunky feet pics.
I Would still take the original. The copy had a way bigger dial and it throws the proportions off too much. It’s turns a small looking watch into a bigger looking watch. The cool thing about the serica was how small it wears. The copy just wears like any other 40mm dive watch.
Jody had a misaligned "3" on the bezel. Was yours okay?
Jody reviewed this IPOSE? I'll have to check when I get back from work but I didn't notice anything so I'm going to say no for now
👀
Are you kidding me it's not a homage, just a copy ridiculous, the Serica is Cosc certified with much better case, bezels and bracelet quality.
Back when this video initially released the 5303 did not have a cosc certification that happened with the refreshed model with the New movement.
@@EscapementWatch You're right, sorry. But I persist in saying that this is not a "hommage" but just a sad copy (same design , same color, even the bracelet is the same)
Jodie is a shill
hey I really like your videos but this one made me uncomfortable. I dont care if you review a rolex homage because thats not stealing from their sales. Serica is a small brand we as enthusiasts should support them so that we can get more original designs not buy or advertise fakes
Shame...
