Let us not speculate, we leave it to expert aeronautic investigators and OEM (Bell American manufactures of the helichopper) and extended support from NTSB (if invited to probe their American machine). the chopper was in very low altitude where a parachute is inapplicable.
Again parachutes cannot work with helicopters because the rotors are above the aircraft where the rotors will shred the parachute and the person using it.

This has become too much now, our top politicians dying mysteriously in chopper accidents,those choppers needs to be reviewed before allowed on air, another thing, the media should be considerate, how can you streamline someone's father/son/husband/brother's death on air before even counseling their families, how do you think it feels to watch your loved ones death on television?
