Bob what should I look for when buying a used fz-55 tough book? things to be careful of etc. I want it for light automotive diagnostic and some solid works use. I won't get it super dirty so I don't need a full rugged book.
The biggest thing to look out for when shopping for any Toughbook is the BIOS password. If you don't know the password you can't get into it and if you're shopping on eBay, it's more than likely got one that no one knows. Can you get the 'Mk3 all black lid & badge' option in to review Bob??
Those "special edition Toughbooks" do not come from Panasonic. Typically a refurbisher upgrades a used laptop and paints the bezels, replaces the sticker, and they charge extra for it. If we get one through trade it, we'll do a comparison. Thanks for watching.
