The CF-33 would be perfect, with plenty of RAM and storage, and check the minimum requirements of the software you plan to use to ensure you have enough for that application and anything else you plan on using the unit for. You also forgot the backlit keyboard is basically unuseable......even with it on the highest setting. I have the expanded battery. It will last forever but not having the turn around feature really sucks.
We've noticed this issue too. Almost like the keyboard disconnects mid-use. One thing that we recommend to solve this issue is to try and clean off the connectors on the keyboard. And sometime if you just detach the keyboard from the tablet and reseat the tablet it could solve the issue temporarily. Thanks for sharing!
Picked up a used one for ~400 as a SHTF laptop. Plan is to have 4 extra batteries in a cradle with a solar charger/power bank. The teetering doesn’t bother me as I had a Microsoft Surface for years
The Panasonic Toughbook CF-33 debuted in May 2017. Both units come with an Intel Core i5 7300U, these are the MK1s, they each have 256 GB SSD that can be upgraded to a maximum of 2 TB, and they both have 16 GB of RAM. The RAM is not upgradable. In regards to the upgradability of the laptop. You mentioned how expensive it was to upgrade...even though that is the case...it can still be upgraded right? How much is it to install the fingerprint option on one that doesn't currently have it installed?

The driver for the front camera was are real pain with my early model. It works great in Wndows 11. I had to do a lot of digging to get it to work in Windows 10- after a reinstall. I had used a driver updater application which made the computer crash on boot when loading the front camera driver.
I cannot authenticate it without seeing the page myself. Although I can say that the CF-33 is a great choice for a rugged laptop. We currently do not have an i7 available, but we do have a couple of CF-33's for sale on our website, here: www.bobjohnson.com/toughbook-cf-33/

Don’t buy this laptop! I use one 8 hours per day and the keyboard randomly quits communicating. Piece of garbage.
