For those confused- the madness effect is using the sleep animation for bosses with the madness eyes. I do not know if this is normally in the game but disabled, but the animations do exist for the effect due to the existance of sleep. Makes you wonder how prevalent madness and sleep were in development for almost every enemy and boss to have a unique animation for it, and why its relagated to only about a dozen items in the game as of release.
Thanks so much for explaining this! I do wish madness affected more enemies, and there were more Madness spells and weapons.

Madness abilities didn’t get nearly as much love as they deserve in this game. It’s mind boggling to me that they would have a whole ending centered around the frenzied flame but limit you to only a handful of weapon/incantations related to it. Meanwhile there’s like 9 Golden Order incantations, a Sacred affinity and a handful of weapons dealing Holy damage in a game where some of the most annoying bosses have massive Holy resistance.
The holy resistance of the fire giant is a joke. Everything is weak to fire for some reason but the one faction obliterated by the order gets 40% resistance. Same with every thing eternal city arguably Maleketh should have less resistance than Radagon so about 70
ohhh and there is Rykard
Not to mention only 1 required boss in the game can actually be afflicted with madness and thats sir gideon the all spamming

Astel, insulted, just takes free shots at them until making the mistake of walking into several bullets consecutively
but for real? I've never seen an enemy walk that slowly towards me, so why aren't they running to bosses?

The entire reason these guys gained Madness was because of Shrabiri's accusations, which was apart of his plan.
Due to this, the Golden Order made the Frenzied Merchants we have now.

she won a lot of matches with Scarlet Aeonia, like if her initial blast doesn't kill then the rot will (0.33% HP per tick for 300s is a guaranteed kill)

People who commonly win these are Elden Beast, Godfrey, Placidusax, Malenia, and maybe Maliketh every once in a while
@@lucasbrandt5501 Not on this channel lol, usually everything just poise breaks the bosses on loop, so the only ones that win are Placidusax because nothing can react to his teleporting fast enough, and Malenia who can ignore poise/posture damage sometimes

The strategy is once they surround and stunlock a boss, they pretty much have the win by keeping the boss in a "stunlock loop", unless the boss has some crazy poise and a big AOE attack to break the loop (see Godfrey).

The answer: They modded frenzy to inflict the sleep status animations. Frankly pretty op as some sleeps can last a while. Also lore inaccurate as only Tarnished get frenzied.

Been watching through these vids, and when it comes to the Boss Rush category like this one, the roster is fairly set other than Lichdragon Fortissax. He appears in some, and not in others. Is it some programming issue or is it maybe based on whether or not he provides an interesting fight? Just curious if there's a reason.

I was not expecting the mod to make bosses susceptible to madness. Wouldve been fun if they dont implement that change as people want to watch how bosses fare against challenges as they really are in the original game. I think that frenzy flame is great not because it gives madness effect, but the damage itself is good. That is if we tarnished are the ones casting them. Idk about these merchants. The trolls in yellough anix hurt against players, but that is only because our hp isnt that great compared to bosses i guess

Used the sleeping staggered animation and combine it with damage of the madness with frenzy eyes. It would be actually so cool if thinks can get infected by frenzy instead of only tarnished getting infected by it in the DLC

They are its a mod. Apparently its the sleep animation recolored and its also cut content largely as most bosses are immune vanilla.
Even elden ring can't beat bloodborne in terms of soundtrack, bloodborne remains the best among souls even now
