I know exactly what you mean. I was never really a full blown juggalo, always have been and will be a rocker/metal head, but I had a lot of juggalo friends who brought me to shows and showed me nothing but love. Being at a Psychopathic Records show is one of the coolest experiences anyone could ever have, the atmosphere alone is electric and the sheer number of people who treat you like you've been best friends for longer than you have been alive is honestly beautiful. That kind of fanbase doesn't just foster itself, their fanbase is like that because Shags and J are, people always talk shit on ICP but the unadvertised charity they have performed for their fans and neighborhood is nothing short of amazing and if you actually get to meet them they don't treat you any differently than one of the juggalos would. Truly amazing people and two of the most down to earth celebrities I have ever met if not THE most down to earth. MMFCL. Woop Woop.

I’ve been a metalhead and bumped ICP since a family member showed them to me to around the time The Wraith came out. It warms my fucking heart to see the metal community (while a lot of people not being fans) wishing him the best even though the music isn’t for them. I hated juggalos and icp for most of my life, but now as an adult I see they really paved their own way, did things their way and have had nothing but success and an incredibly loyal fan base. Nothing but respect for them
I loved ICP while I was in my teenhood. These dudes are chill, caring guys. Appreciate their presence in music even if it can be Gnarly at times. Hope he can recover and enjoy his retirement.

I remember liking ICP very briefly in middle school during my cringe phase. Needless to say, not a fan now, but still, I hope he recovers. I may not really like their music, but they were original, and they did march to their own beat, and I can always tip my hat to that.

Wasn't into their music in their heyday but I heard them later I an interview talk about Juggalos being a sort of extended family and that they had ways to find other Juggalos in public and such. Everyone just wants to be a part of something and I can appreciate they created a community for a lot of people that might not of had one otherwise growing up.

I don’t think there is “recovering” from heart failure. Once you have it, it’s just a matter of time. You can hold it off but you have to be very healthy. The average life expectancy after being diagnosed is 10 years

I don't listen to ICP but I have respect for them and the Juggalos. Afib is no joke. I'm on medication twice daily to help keep my heart from going too wacky. And hes absolutely right about getting out of breath easy as hell. And when it beats too fast and hard it will feel like you've run a marathon while sitting still. My deepest empathy! ✌😎🤘

Ah the joys of getting older. I’m around the age of ICP. For the record, my dad had Afib and lived to 82 (and Afib was one of the least of his health issues). Stay Strong J, MMFCL!
That sucks. I have premature atrial contractions. It’s benign, unlike a-fib, but still makes me feel tired sometimes when the contractions won’t calm down. The top part of my heart just has messed up wiring. Anyhow, I hope he takes good care of himself. It’s really important that he listens to his doctors advice so he can stay around for a while.
His doctor said he shouldn't do shows anymore but he's going to do one last world tour and then do a few shows a year. What's your opinion on that?

Damn this is just sad. I was a Juggalo in middle school and high school. I’ll admit and I did “grow” out of the whole scene and just put it all behind me well into adulthood. However, I’ve ALWAYS have had massive amounts of respect for both Violent J and Shaggy for what they’ve created, for sticking to their guns, for fully believing in themselves and never quitting even in the face of a tremendous amount of criticism and hate they’ve received throughout their career! They are truly down-to-earth, humble, grateful and just all around great dudes. They are the epitome of success. You can bash their music, but you really can’t bash their principles and values. This is truly sad and disconcerting reading about. I hope and pray nothing for the best for Joseph Bruce, aka Violent J.
