the Animal biscuits have changed since I was a child. they use to be shaped as the animal, rather than just have the animal drawn on them. they were also made with real Cadbury milk chocolate on a good quality digestive.
Canada here... My parents always used Bisto Gravies. They would add it to meat drippings and it made great gravy. Never tried their lamb gravy. Parents never served gravy with lamb, only the mint. Try having lamb with Fettuccine Alfredo. I mixed left overs and tried lamb and Fettuccine Alfredo together and LOVED it!!. Canada traditionally has better coffee then the US too.
Yay you both just cheered up the day. Thanks UB. 🙂🙂 have to agree about that beanies coffee it really is unpleasant. But the animals...I don't know if its just the nostalgia but I still love those 😁 that is the nicest brand of instant gravy so it was lovely to see you both enjoying a nice dinner 🙂🙂🙂
Hi Helen yes nostalgia does a lot when it comes to certain foods I remember loving some things as a kid only to return to them as an adult wondering if they chanced the recipe. The gravy is the nicest instant gravy we've ever had.
Tam when I make the lamb gravy I mix some of the mint sauce in with it so that everytime you eat the gravy you get a taste of the mint sauce as well mmmm
Thanks Brian, Tam and Tim. Missing gravy and mint sauce now I have watched that! My sister makes a great roast dinner and I add a bucket of gravy and mint sauce. 😂
The mint sauce and gravy with a roast Sooooo good I can understand missing it. Here I was thinking we'd made too much gravy but I was wrong used all of it.
Thank you Brian! I have seen plenty of flavored coffees here in America, and I have seen various brands of instant coffee, but I don't believe I have seen any types of flavored instant coffee. Of course, we have plenty of flavored coffee creams, such as Irish Cream, Chocolate, etc., but I imagine having the instant coffee already flavored just makes things more convenient. That sure is an economy-sized jar of powdered lamb gravy, isn't it? I'm used to seeing packets of powdered gravy where the entire contents of the packet is used all at once, but with that jar of lamb gravy, it looks like there is plenty left for future meals. Nice video, Tam and Tim!
I think America makes pretty good coffee too and so much variety I've loved some of those American coffees as you know. The gravy was much nicer than the couple of brands we get here.
I'm hit and miss with beanies. I prefer the gold blend flavour coffee sachets or just normal instant coffee.. The party animals are more catered to children hence why its less sweet with a small amount of chocolate. It's all about the cute animals lol. I love mint sauce but never tried the Coleman lamb gravy. I normally go for oxo cubes or bisto gravy. 😊. Xx
Can't go wrong with the original normal instant coffee I don't usually like added flavours they usually taste a bit weird and fake, however America does some nice percolator coffee. Makes sense what you say about the animal biscuits but they are very cute I could see kinds loving them. Bisto gravy and the Colman's mint sauce were both so good really loved them.
Tim and I both love our gravy and the bisto gravy was the nicest instant gravy we have ever had so good so yes fill up the plate with it haha and here I was thinking I'd made too much
Thanks Uncle Brian! You two are so cute I don't like Irish cream it taste like scotch tape to me. So I know what Tim means when he says the cookies taste like cardboard lol See ya next time
Good show T and T! I'm glad the gravy and mint sauce worked out so well with your special dish. Interesting to see an episode where you had a few downers too! If coffee tasted too fake I wouldn't like it either.
I am reminded of the I love Lucy episode went Ricky and Lucy argues over how Ricky saids Lucy stirs her coffee clinkety clink, clinkety clink, clinkety clink🤣🤣🤣
You also had lamb which you said you hadn't had for a while so that was a nice change for you both maybe one day I'll knock on your door and have a Sunday roast with lamb gravy and mint sauce mmmmmm
I like gravy, but being from a Southern state in the US, I'm not a big fan of a lot of brown gravy very often. I don't hate it, though. There's only one thing that might be like the Southern US white/cream gravy that I've seen online in pictures called "bread sauce", but I can't find anyone online who knows and has a recipe for both as white/cream gravy seems to not exist outside the Southern US and bread sauce doesn't seem to exist anywhere in North America. I hate mint so much, but I'm glad you like it. Of course, Americans as a whole don't eat a lot of lamb or mutton either.
I love Bisto beef gravy granules. The powder is awful, in my opinion. No idea why there is such a difference in the two. I never use it alone, always add it into drippings to stretch the amount of gravy from a roast and will add it into casseroles and stews. I can get it from Amazon in the US now. 👍
So weird that there is a difference between the two I noticed yesterday when I was at our local supermarket there was some Bisto granules not the same as the one we tried in this video and it was $11 wow don't think I'll be buying it. But yes I loved the gravy and the mint sauce.
I ordered a Beanies coffee advent calendar years ago because it was something different & I was excited to try the gingerbread flavour…worst tasting coffee ever! 😬🤣 I guess i’m spoiled for choice in Melbourne
We weren't sure if it was just us that didn't like the Beanies coffee reading through the comments I see we are not alone. I would have been suckered into that gingerbread flavour too and yes spoiled for choice in Melbourne I believe.
Crocodiles are scary Tim and I went for a holiday in the Northern Territory and there were so many lovely places to swim but most had signs up warning Crocodiles...no thanks.
As ever! 🥰 Thank you Tam,Tim and Uncle Brian. You’re the brightest sunshine! 🙂💚☀️
Glad you liked the gravy and mint sauce that roast looked nice and I noticed you were both wearing your birthday t-shirts 👕
the Animal biscuits have changed since I was a child. they use to be shaped as the animal, rather than just have the animal drawn on them. they were also made with real Cadbury milk chocolate on a good quality digestive.
I remember them being animal shaped but never on a digestive, I always remember them being a shortcake.
Yes they look rubbish now. Used to look very different.
Thanks Brian. And well done Tim and Tam for doing the products justice by cooking the dinner. ❤
Yes I wasn't going to bother to make a whole lamb roast but it had been a while and I wanted to do the gravy mint sauce justice.
Canada here... My parents always used Bisto Gravies. They would add it to meat drippings and it made great gravy. Never tried their lamb gravy. Parents never served gravy with lamb, only the mint. Thanks Brian. Many things are lacking in flavor I find these days.
im a gravy lover too!!! i could use that entire jug on just my plate alone 🤣🤣
Tim and I both love our gravy and the bisto gravy was the nicest instant gravy we have ever had so good so yes fill up the plate with it haha and here I was thinking I'd made too much
Animal biscuits - Do not eat if seal is broken... 🌊🦭🤣🦭
We sometimes put a couple of teaspoons of mint sauce in the gravy to make a minty lamb gravy. It's absolutely delicious :)
I can see that working nicely thanks for the suggestion.
I use mint jelly like jam. It goes great with peanut butter on a sandwich. :)
mint sauce is also really good on a cheese sandwich (especially if you use a strong cheddar)
Hi David on a cheese sandwich yes I could see how that would work loved the mint sauce.
Thanks Uncle Brian!
You two are so cute
I don't like Irish cream it taste like scotch tape to me. So I know what Tim means when he says the cookies taste like cardboard lol
See ya next time

I love mint sauce on mushy peas in a butty..
I'm a veggie, I do love it on my roast spuds...
I am reminded of the I love Lucy episode went Ricky and Lucy argues over how Ricky saids Lucy stirs her coffee clinkety clink, clinkety clink, clinkety clink🤣🤣🤣
you and tim are so funny together
HOMER SIMPSON: You doctors told us to drink eight glasses of gravy a day.
You also had lamb which you said you hadn't had for a while so that was a nice change for you both maybe one day I'll knock on your door and have a Sunday roast with lamb gravy and mint sauce mmmmmm
Hi Brian thanks so much for the gravy and mint sauce they were so good.

No Yorkshire puddings??
No actually I don't think I've ever had a Yorkshire pudding before.
The crocodile or alligator on the Monster Wheels bag looks like Reptar from Rugrats.
Bon appetit my friends
Yes I love meant
Animals are nice

I see tim has got his PEAS lol
Yes Tim and his peas LOL he loves them so

We have a large crocodile zoo in England.
Crocodiles are scary Tim and I went for a holiday in the Northern Territory and there were so many lovely places to swim but most had signs up warning Crocodiles...no thanks.
