When starting to work with a patient and weening them off of the ventilator do you all allow them to gradually breathe in small segments of time or do you all allow them to breathe on their own for an entire day? I am not sure how to get an answer to questions. I am helping a friend decide where to send her aunt. Thank you in advance.
