  • After being hospitalized for Guillain-Barre syndrome, Adam transferred to a Kindred Hospital with paralysis and respiratory failure. Motivated by a picture of his two young boys, Adam worked hard with his interdisciplinary care team to be liberated from the ventilator and regain his ability to move. Now he is at home again with his family, living every day to the fullest.

My friend was diagnosed with this Two weeks ago. He’s still paralyzed and can’t talk. So this is very inspiring and motivating. Thank you 🙏

My daddy got guillan barre syndrome after taking a flu shot. The dr tested and found the shot caused it. Daddy suffered, but thank god came back.

Adam, looking for support here as my son who is now 6 years old was diagnosed with GBS when he was 18 months. We continue to see him progress but he is still unable to walk. You are such an inspiration for how you fought this and I hope you can share some of that inspiration to my son Cashton. Much love.

Doesn't really tell you what made him recover. Plus, does it come back,
    like other autoimmune diseases?

I can answer that yes some people can get it twice three times 100 percent of people recover to some degree 80 percent get back 100 percent 15 percent get back but not fully 5 percent get it twice not everyone is better in the same amt of time

@johnhironimus5748 very true. When my dad got it, a woman in the hospital had been suffering for over 2 years with it. Daddy said, no, i won't do that. He was paralyzed and begged me for a gun, and I told him absolutely not. You will beat this, and laughingly said, deer season is coming, you need to go hunting. He told his Dr he would walk out of there in 2 months. He had to get a deer for us. The Dr said, ok, sure. Dad said don't talk down to me, I will. 2 months later he walked out, he was on a walker, was very weak, but he walked out. The Dr said I don't believe it! Daddy said I told you I was walking out.
