Nice man, that’s an awesome lineup. We’ve got a decent amount of overlap. It’s honestly tough to pick 10 from ALL genres. Cool to see Spiritbox on here with these other classics. What do you think of their new EP?
Agree with all of these... I'll add Cynic - Focus Mercyful Fate - Melissa Sabbath... Tool - Undertow. man I remember that 69th track scaring the crap out of me out of nowhere half asleep.. the days where it took a second for CD players to iterate tracks.. Dates recorded and release dates matter. They’re not the same thing. I know what you’re saying bud, but plenty of bands sit on material because they are unsatisfied with it or simply want to wait for a right time to release it. When an albums released, that’s the date. BUT I agree, it’s cool information that they sat on a record because they weren’t satisfied with it.
@@forgemastermetal I dont actually have a list its too subjective but many agree that two big missed spots were black sabbath and kill em all also danzig was never a metal band
Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metalicus (glad y'all mentioned Trouble)
Mercyful Fate - Melissa (others are mentioning this one, but I gotta agree too)
Entombed - Left Hand Path

Yeah dude those are great additions. It would’ve been so easy to make this video over an hour lol
If they included every great debut
Parts 1- 4 would be 2 hours long each...
😂 So much great stuff out there
Kvelertak self titled is the first one to come to mind for a “newer” debut.
And with regard to The Sword being popular at the time, I remember them hanging out with Anthony Bourdain when he did an Austin episode of The Layover
Amazing stuff! I’d definitely add:
Alcest - Souvenirs d’un autre monde
Gojira - Terra Incognita
Ulver - Bergtatt
Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye
Oh hell yeah! Love the Alcestis and Kayo Dot picks.
Dissection - The Somberlain
The Haunted - Self titled

@@sinuhegomes7271 oh Storm for sure. It's probably in my top 10 albums of all time
@tonyziporlin4240 yes, and still today I can hear the influence it has on so many bands...

Dissection-The Somberlain
Emperor-In the Nightside Eclipse
Morbid Angel-Altars of Madness
Mercyful Fate-Melissa

Good point! I just don’t listen to it much.
@@forgemastermetalwhy not?!?
Thanks for putting that Down debut on your list. Also some notables are Slayer's Show no Mercy, Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath, and Mercyful Fate's Melissa.

Hell yeah dude nice!
if u know morbid angels real inception you wouldnt say altars is their debut. love you guys but there is some misinformation here.
No black metal and only stoner doom, melo-death/black only fleeting references to 1995 :(
This isn’t an authoritative list, feel free to add to it.
I was going to say NO METALLICA ON THIS LIST?? 😂😂
Almost got ya 🙃
Ghost is like King Diamond but not good.
They’re not really that similar as bands
Ghost is like King Diamond with pleasant vocals lol

C'mon guys, I like You both, BUT, Exodus out of this list and Ghost in showcases how Immature you are, sorry!
Your comment is pretty immature bud. Just suggest Exodus.
my list is a lot diferent and apparently so is my definition of what is metal
