I have a Macan and had the same issue. The H15 from LEDPERF works very well and the H7 I imported from the USA. Lights now are just as good as the Porsche LED ones. No need to go LED. I went through about 10 bulbs before finding ones that actually worked and actually fit in the tight space!
I’m amazed at this as well. I’m looking at a 17 GTS and noticed in a pic that the beam is halogen. I thought this must be wrong. The 2008 TT I just sold had factory bi-xenon cornering lights, 9 years older. Xenon should be standard as they are a safety factor. I will either look for another car or live with halogen. Rule number 1 with German cars, never mess with the electronics.
My old EP3 had halogens and they were shocking in the dark. You couldn't see very well at all so when I got the FK2 with LEDs the difference was massive!
ua-cam.com/video/u0vOYAA6aJ4/v-deo.html I don’t think you realise, but the entire headlight simply comes out with a tool that is available in the back of your trunk in the Porsche
@@DownShiftThrottle it's a shame that all Porsches should have bi xenon but there are also merc with no projector headlights that uses halogen so I guess this are more safety add ons when buying a newer car
These bulbs are not bi xenon. Bi xenon means xenon low and high beam. Also 8000k is not a factory look it is too blue. Factory is more 4400k which is white.

Good video mate. Porsche charge for everything! You can't take any option for granted that is standard on other cars.
One to know for the next Porsche I order lol
@@DownShiftThrottle They should make these things standard but I guess if they know people will pay they will keep charging.

Think my last 7 cars have had at least bi-xenons or LEDs so this was a shock when I realised the standard feature was a halogen
I had hid kit fitted on my Toyota Hilux years ago loved when they first came on so blue
I remember those dazzling days lol
Can’t believe these are Halogen. Tight bastards.
Lol exactly even a fiesta has LEDs from the same year!
before 2014 they fitted candles and when it got dark you had to light them
😂😂😂
hay I habe still H15 YOLOW color .How and Wich light i can buy to be white or blo pls .
good one bro, i did the same on my f30
Huge difference!
Are those really the DRL's or the high beams...?
Because in my car those are the high beams
They're both, DRLs when lights not on which also double up as high beam
Can you give a link to the kit you purchased for this look? I want to change mine so bad
Could you show the beam pattern against a wall and show the new LED DRL during the day?
I would do if I still had the car.....
What kit did you use and does it affect the Porsche warranty?
Nice lights, got the same problem, do you have a link for the guy who fitted or website
Hello. Thank you for your video. I have same car. just curious, why did you go with xenon vs. LED bulbs. thanks
Good question. Xenon's for easy fitment. The LED bulbs do not fit.
@@DownShiftThrottle d3s leds fit
Thanks for the information. Appreciate it
Just seen this, can you puta link up for the bulbs you used for this please
I don't have the link for the lights but if you contact the guy who installed them for me he can help you out hopefully
I guess it’s a option? I bet you can code the led for drl. I personally prefer a 6000k looks more stock
Yes everything seems to be an option lol. Looking for VAG coders local to me.
It won't daz people because you have a projector so for my experience I had 8000k to 6000k 4500k is a lot better for the eyes

Thanks for the share, very useful. I didn't know there was a tool in the boot of the car.
What is that front lip bro
Standard part of the bumper
@@DownShiftThrottle cool... our country dosent have that model.... I really wanna it
Did you get h7r bulb ?
These were a H7 bulb with a seperate ballast.
I would go for 5500k or 4300k better for all weather
I have 2008 Volkswagen R32 it has a bi- xenon
Exactly,I had a 2008 Honda Civic with Bi-Xenons.....

DRL different fitment
Win win situation. Lol

You do know this is now a full MOT failure as from this year?
Lol.....is it? I just had my MOT done from a main dealer today and it passed!

Thanks for letting me know.....however cannot argue that these look better than halogen though....
