That was me remembering the range rules wrong that day, 5-round limit applied to a different portion of the range. Update and new ammo test video coming soon.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm from commiefornia and its not even that bad.😆 I was thinking he was in Canada or somthing. I always see Canadian sks's internal mags pinned and blocked to 5 rounds. It's so sad
Since you asked for constructive criticism, please review how you clear malfunctions. At least most of the times you racked the slide, your finger remained on the trigger. That risks an unintentional discharge when you let the slide slingshot into battery. Get in the habit of keeping your finger out of the trigger guard any time you're not intending to pull the trigger. Thanks for taking the time to do this. It's good to see someone else's experience with that conversion.
Criticism appreciated, and I have been duly chastised by my local gun buddies regarding my trigger finger - improvements which can be seen in my 2nd testing video. Thanks for checking this video out!
Awesome testing ! Very helpful. Get the optics ready AA 22lr thats out and do the same test :). One more to safe practice is to keep the muzzle pointed on the target or at least down towards the ground a little when you send the slide back to add to the keep finger off the trigger and slow your roll :).. Simple adjustments of habit is to just tilt the pistol left or right (when looking at the ejector port) while pointing downward a little and downrange to be safer. We all learn along the way and it never stops. Stay safe and thank you again for the ammo tests. Lube and clean in between to be fair with other brands next time :).
I know this is three years old but cci POLYMER coated 22lr runs perfect! I used the patriot pack. But it also comes in a Christmas pack as well as 100 round sleeves. Tested two days ago.
Thanks for the review! Takes effort in time, planning, execution, and is expensive to do what you have done for us. I'm sure that everyone appreciates it as much as I do. Ordered my Advantage Arms for a Glock 17 today and your video is very helpful.
Well now we know the non recommended ammo that AA states in their manual can be overridden, I’m seeing the mini mag HPs work well, Federal Game shock, Remington golden bullet, I’ve heard there is ways to actually polish parts of the slide and magazine to make it way more effective for using different ammos
I'm so glad I got mine up and running. I probably should have read the directions. For all you trigger snobs like me that run an after market trigger and connector, put your stock OEM back in. And the clicks turn into booms (small booms). And a little WD-40 and lube doesn't hurt either. I think this makes for a great training tool and will keep your lady motivated to shoot more imo.
I like watching the video but if the results was in the comment section for what failed and replacement ammo recommended would be helpful. Thanks for doing the hard work and research for Glock .22 conversion.
Guy in the background, "223 and 22lr are the same bullet just more powder", bahahahahahahaah! Dude needs to spend more time researching and less time flapping your gums at the range. Great testing! This helped me a lot on my decision to purchase this kit! With the ammo limitations RN I was worried if I got this kit I'd be unable to use it because CCI Mini Mags are hard to find at the moment. I've got a few different brands of 22lr, but they all fall into the same category of the rounds you are shooting here. Appreciate you taking the time to test these out in real world conditions!
the AA .22 lr conversion kit for my glock 21sf i just tested it out today with winchester 555 bulk pack and like the blazer round the pack you were using it fail to extract alot and misfired and alot of misfeed mostly fail to extract shell casing still stuck in the chamber i'm try some different ammo tomorrow see if it's the ammo i was using
I think I was 300+ rounds down the barrel before filming, all shot strictly per manufacturer's suggestions (CCI Mini Mags, oiling the upper, cleaning after each range session): AA highly advises against Winchester bulk ammo in their insert - I did it for science. I don't remember exactly which ammo or when, but I did have a few casings stuck in the chamber also, but CCI Mini Mags are the only 100% reliable ammo I've run thus far. Oil the slide every few mags, use good ammo, and the kit should break in around the 500 round mark. Good luck with the new ammo!
That’s how we do it in the gun community. ;-) I did thank you so much for doing this. Convinced me to buy the 22lr onversion from advantaged arms. Seriously thank you for the time it took to test all the ammo and make the video.
Had issues with a secondhand AA kit dated 1-16 for a G26/27 gen 3. Changed out all of the worn out and defective parts and it fixed everything. Works perfectly until the chamber gets so dirty from firing that the spent shell gets stuck and can't be pulled out of the chamber. Any ideas?
You are lucky. I have an older one and the only ammo it will shoot reliable is the Remington golden bullet 40 gr. High velocity. maybe I got a dud but what a piece of shit this thing is. Seems like they could have done at least a little research and development.
Thank you for doing this... the time and money. This is exactly what we all needed to choose which conversion to get.
5 rounds per magazine? The hell kind of rule is that? Fudd range?

I 2nd this criticism. Most range officers would kindly ask you to leave for doing this.
Haha, luckily I haven't been asked to leave (yet), but the bad habit has been fixed as you can see in the 2nd video. Thanks for watching!

4 years later and more relevant than ever...

Hope you enjoy your kit as much as I do mine :) Oh, hope you got extra mags too because the one that ships with the kit is just not enough...
Yes, I bought two extra magazines. They are at the post office and the conversion should deliver tomorrow! :-)

Yes we need a summary of results somewhere it's not like I was taking notes during the video.

He’s right though. It’s a 22 caliber bullet with a lot more powder
Thanks for the testing. It liked Blazer. Gotta run my Brick thru it. 🤙🏽
just one brick though? :P
The federal seems solid over all
Wet informative . Thanks man .
Can you use factory Glock 44 mags with this setup ???
Looks like Hawaii, Kokohead range.
You are correct sir - thanks for watching!
I was just gonna say the same thing lol
Your range only allows you to put 5 rounds in a magazine?
Must suck to live in fudd-ville
gota start clean when u switch rounds
That’s good in a threaded barrel
Do u have link on BB gun part of Glock?
What kind of trigger do you have?
Tried on of these kits on Glock 23 gen 3...nothing but crap, only worked sometimes with blazers. Sold it on eBay...good bye, hello tx22!

Did your conversion come in a hard case or a soft case? Thanks for making the video!
Hard case just like this one --> i.ytimg.com/vi/STl8XtV1Z_g/maxresdefault.jpg
Thanks for watching!
I prefer the soft case or range bag because easier to carry the .22 conversion kit, the G19 plus 6 mags, ammo and other stuff.
I love mine.
Oh and just constructive criticism here - what tat trigger finger.... always remove it from inside the guard when cleaning malfunctions
Video uploaded 2+ years ago, and I'm still catching flak :P
Did you catch my 2nd video? I think I've eliminated that ugly habit.

Stop and clean it more often?
Or polishing
Hahahahahahahah omg man, seriosly?😆 OR invent a self cleaning conversion🤷♂️
Jesus Loves You
And you also, for we are all His children
Dude, keep your finger off the trigger when you're doing your malfunctions and slide work....
