Marisa’s legs also flex correctly when she does her punch and kick animations. Manon’s calves also flex correctly during Marisas super cinematic. The level of detail is pretty crazy!
You're Right... I Jus Noticed That
Why was bro looking at their legs?????
I like the way Manon incorporates dancing into her moves way more than I thought I would
*cough cough lily
*cough cough bruce
That's 1 of the things of fighting games that I like when game devs create a character and incorporates dancing into fighting moves. Jaime with a mix of drunken boxing and hip hop break dancing, Manon with her judo mix with ballet and Dee Jay kickboxing and well I supppose b-boy dancing as well.
@@morgana3yearsbind937 that's a weird cough. You should get it checked out
@MichaelCocca Same. And I had no interest in her before this gameplay. I think her neutral jump did it for me. Its such an unnecessary animation but it makes it all the better that its there anyway.
She looks to me like douchebag Elena. And I love that.
What I love about Marisa is how "simple" her moveset looks. Her most complicated stuffs is the ground and poung grapple and her bicycle kick. But other than that her whole thing is "I punch hard and my LVL3 I punch you harder". Yet she's a powerhouse of a character and I really like the simplicity of that.
Manon is the total opposite, she's the most flashiest grappler / Powerhouse we have ever seen in a Street Fighter Game and yes I say powerhouse because she somehow almost equal Marisa's damage output apparently.
Ballet is one powerful martial art...
There's something to love about a character who's straightforward with how they fight. Tactics? Flashiness? Athleticism? Nah, I'm just gonna punch dudes really fucking hard.
I love the fact that Marisa kisses her fist before punching the sh*t out of you.
My last thought before Marisa cracks my jaw asunder: "An indirect kiss..! 😳"
@@MTdaBlacking I didn't noticed this. LOL
@@MTdaBlacking Crack your jaw my ass youre coming out with a missing skull
She does the same shit as Potemkin does in accent core with his instant kill. It was just as sick back then
Because it’s with love 🥲
Can we all take a minute to appreciate the stage theme. It's so beautiful, especially in round 3 where it starts pumping up. Can't wait for the soundtrack to get released alongside this game
I have a minute
Have you heard the metro city stage theme from the beta? 🔥
Probably my favorite stage theme so far. Sounds badass.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Is it like Ace Attorney games where Cross-Examination theme start from Moderato to Allegro to Presto?
I wanna shout-out the way that the stage keeps the background from muddying up the fight area by using contrasting warm and cold lights to separate the two! I'm sure it's simple and straight forward game dev principles but I like it a lot!
Good point! Even if you don't notice something like that directly you'll still feel it.
I also like that. It’s such a clean looking game. I haven’t been this excited for anything street fighter in a long time!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Much better than the nasty looking fog from sf5
I love the fact that since Marisa is a jeweler, she has a diamond effect on her level 3 activation.
If that isn’t attention to detail I don’t know what is
and the 'paint' effect kinda looks like liquid gold
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
what Jeweler do you know is that jacked???? LOL
@@chocotastic1 Someone that jacked can do whatever job they want to.
@@MeteoBahamut Probably Bronze to match the metals used for armor at the time.
I didn't realize until slow motion, but marissa's level 3 looks like her skin is being harden into a diamond. A nice visual detail since I believe she works as a jeweler too. this game just looks better and better with each take
Oh god. That marisa grab looks like it’s going to be extremely scary. That damage is terrifying
I imagine that for the Critical Art version of Marisa’s Lvl 3 super is that it starts out the same with her standing over the opponent, but the opponent immediately gets up and punches her in the face and she hardly flinches, Senator Armstrong style, then blast the opponent to the wall. Then Marisa does the followup that was seen for a split second in her reveal trailer.
god that would be goofy looking with some chars
@@deathbringer9893 have you imagined Zangief in Jamie’s Lvl 3? THAT’S gonna look goofy.
@@ZombieDude-tg3wl thats what i was thinking
STANDING HERE
I REALISE
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
This may sound a bit weird, but Marisa reminds me of Big Band from Skullgirls. Takes chunks out of opponent's health with ease. Big, but easy as hell to confirm normals. And while you don't want to end up in the corner against anyone, may God himself help you if you end up in the corner against them because a good one isn't letting you out for the rest of the match.
Scary and true
No that makes sense they're like based on the same archetype
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Manon’s stage reminds of the stage from street fighter alpha 1 where the big crowd of people watch you. I think it may be kens stage
Nash/Charlie had all the people at night. Ken's stage evening hours.
She definitely gives off Street Fighter Alpha character vibes too
I just noticed that Marissa’s lv 3 as she was on one side of the stage sent her opponent to the opposing side for corner pressure. That’s nutty.
I wonder if the animation will change/shorten depending on how close you are to the corner?
@@andimari9194 it’s what seven extra steps? Like half a second? It would be an interesting little detail if that was the case.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Love how especially when you slow-mo it I can totally pick out judo techniques being used, just with a LOTTA extra flare. lol
There's one sentence that comes to mind when I see Marisa's move set. Sheer fucking power. Hell the animation team knocked it out of the park with her animations and effects.
Imagine Marisa in a Gamestop and the cashier calls her sir
This footage gives me a better appreciation for Manon! Her animations are crazy good!
Her life-like ballet animations make me want to learn her moves. Very nice on the eyes.
Capcom was always one of my favorite gaming companies. Glad to see them coming back strong with games like Mhw, Dmc 5 and Street Fighter 6. Honestly makes me excited for their new titles like Pragmata
>mhw
>not rise
Unironically 100% correct
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
And Resident Evil has been popping off too. Good time to be a Capcom fan.
@@pampamtamtam4001 I was about to say that. RE4 remake launches on March 24th. I'm looking forward to it, as RE4 is my favorite. But I'm still a lot more exited to SF6.
lol Pragmata is their new Deep Down
Whoever's ideas was Manon's style of mixing judo (or a similiar martial art) and ballet was genius. Chars like Mian, Zafina, and Manon can be bottom tier, I'll still main them!!
I KNOW, I keep slowing this video down to watch how Manon's different throws work and all of them are so well-done, keeping the opponent off-balance and sweeping them with big, ballet moves
I really like how we basically have a inside gaming convention for SF6❤️
Ripley’s just going HAM in the background lmao, PapaMax 🤣
Marisa looks so good and menacing, now just imagine how Zangief would look like, im really excited for our Red Cyclone
And Blanka, he's gonna look crazy.
Love that Capcom are taking their time with this. The new characters have all been hyped and the way they have been dropping it has been a ride! Still ain’t even seen Cammy or Zangief from the oldskool yet. Can’t waaaait!
Akuma too, although they might save him for dlc. Either way he's gonna be fire af
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
@@mydrillasanjay5397 Ahh Akuma!, with this style of play Akuma is gonna be OP for sure! It’s gonna be sick!
I really hope Capcom undoes the copyright strikes now that they’re starting to officially upload the gameplay footage. But like I said with the first upload, Manon really needs to be pointing her toes during her perfect win animation.
Maybe but then again, we were told not to upload them for public use. If we want official gameplay leading up to SF6, we go to them unless they say otherwise.
@@dnmstarsi I get that but sweet Judas just take the videos down not throw strikes on channels that didn't know.
Straight into her opponents mouths.
@@richardauthement3105 That's no excuse. They said to not do it and we do it anyways. It's not their fault (this time) some fans didn't get the memo especially when this is a common thing for companies. Capcom ain't the only ones telling fans "hey, don't upload any beta footage or alike unless we say so".
@@richardauthement3105 it's their fault for not being careful with what they post.
Seeing Marisa's command grab and how she lets go of Manon's arm before punching, she wants to defeat you, not absolutely destroy you. Truly a honorable fighter and a powerhouse through and through
The flex tech is so fascinating to me, T8 is doing it too, it’s such a detail that you don’t think about being missing from games but seeing it for the first time it’s like “of course”. Reminds me of when NRS started layering their character models so that when gore happened they had the proper anatomy instead of just generic flesh chunks and red patches.
This game is going to be HUGE. After playing the beta, I can’t wait for the full release. It will be interesting to see how the single player / world tour shape up. If Capcom nail the single player content, this will give NRS a run. I’m excited 😍
Also, this is by far and away the best animations since SF3. Looks smooth, cool and unique.
I love how all the new characters have so much personality can't wait to try out all of them especially JP and Marisa.

@@kingofdragons7 I think thin women look weird tbh, girls who blast the gym have bigger asses therfore are superior. we all got different preferences tho ig
I think Manon has some sort of “throw” buff thing going on. She receives a medal after every successful command grab and as she builds, the throws appear different (or at least the animations seem to change)
I remember seeing that more medals mean more damage, but I don't remember where.
@@itol2201 yeah that definitely can be the case. Manon seems like she’d be pretty scary especially with that grab move that kind of pulls you in closer. I wonder if that means you have to guess if she’s gonna follow through with the grab or do something else? At any rate, she looks cool and this game just keeps looking more and more visually beautiful!
yeah, the announcer voice lines leaked not too long ago, basically confirming that each of her medal levels boosts her command grab damage and changes the grab animation. also yes, she is going to have you guessing a lot because her target combos that pull you closer revolve around her mixing you up with either a command grab, low, or overhead after. she’s definitely gonna be a scary character.
I also love how their names don't reflect their archetypes lol
Marisa sounds like a pretty girl name, yet it's attached to a muscle goddess, while Manon sounds more intimidating, yet it's attached to a graceful dancer XD
Capcom humor
Lol yep they definitely did that on purpose
I mean manon is just a common french name
I'm astonished that by the time you got to this video, nobody had explained to you wtf Manon's Medal system does.
She keeps it in between rounds and she gets one each time she gets a command grab or hitgrab, and it makes her grabs crazier with each stack. bigger damage, fancier animations. Also, MANON KEEPS IT BETWEEN ROUNDS!!!
I think it’s so great that Max puts out a video of him reacting to SF wit his friends and then reacts by himself.. feels real wholesome ❤
10:53 Are we seriously not going to say anything about this animation? So graceful. I love it!
i like how marisa’s hair is basically just a spartan helmet😂😂very appropriate
Marisa and Manon look so cool and charismatic, it´s like seeing Juri on SF4 for the first time.
There's just something super wholesome about watching Max with mini Max playing in the background.
Marisa is like Fist Of The North Star mixed with 300. Super heavyweight.
I was thinking she was on her way to be in Baki and got lost.
@@cylondorado4582 I can definitely see that.
By slowing down the video, you can really see some details, like how Marisa is getting back up she push herself up with the "blade" of her foot while before I see her just spun a bit and leap up.
Can't wait to see what Capcom will show during the 26th January stream. Hopefully Cammy, Zangief and maybe Lily.
i love the detail in how her dash cancel is a shoot as well rather than just lunging forward or something generic.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Marisa has me over here going full 🎶Take my breath away🎶 for her......
Don't know if that counts for anything.
Manon really said Merci Beaucoup! she's graceful. has the most beautiful moves out of any fighting game character I ever saw and her Stage music is the 2nd song of SF6 I like. don't know why I got hype but Marissa's tech recovery after being knocked down was fluid and really shows her style and character. the art and animation of this game has me more hype than anything. not trying to be a jerk but the Ma in Manon's name is said similar to the HA in Hadouken and the last part Non is said kinda like none if that makes sense. Anyway the last game that got me this hype on moves and art was SC1 and 2 because I use to be a fighter as a kid. Its kinda symbolic that SF6 is the torch bearer to bring Fighting games in to a new potentially prosperous era
Another thing I like is how Ken and Ryu actually look late 30s-early or mid 40s now. To me I think that represents all us OG players who grew up with them since SF 1, 2, and Alpha.
Marisa is probably gonna crush low ranks on launch with all her armored moves that apparently just destroy drive impact (which ppl will be spamming^^) and whatnot, plus her lvl 3 putting her opponents right in the corner. She's gonna be scary.
Oh how right you were, lol.
The animations are so apparent when you set it to quarter speed. The game just looks amazing.
Feel bad for all the people that got strikes hope they figure that stuff out, it would suck to just see someone get taken down for something that could easily be fixed.
One thing I absolutely adore about Marisa is the fact that while she looks quite masculine (broad shoulders, muscular body, her height, the fact that her fighting style pretty much boils down to her slugging her opponent as hard as possible), she still has feminine qualities. Marisa gives her opponent an air kiss if she wins the round, and during her Critical Art she kisses her fist before giving her opponent a massive slug
It's such a minor details, but it feels so, I don't know... Refreshing? Guess I'm just tired of this practice of making women strong by shunning all and all displays of femininity
Even just in general, characters feel more real when they have some contrasting characteristics because real people are like that. Script doctor Robert McKee calls it character "dimension." For example, the main character John Gittes played by Jack Nicholson in the movie Chinatown has rather detached, polite mannerisms and high diction (I remember Ebert pointing out the line "I’m in matrimonial work, it's my metier") for a private eye in a noir movie. But then we also see him lose his cool laughing uncontrollably at a dumb joke in one scene and beating a guy down in another scene.
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Kissing your fist isn’t a feminine thing though, I’ve seen boxers and mma fighters do that shit all the time
I can't believe how fluid this game is. When you can see everything so clear and crisp at this speed and nothing looks out of place or positionally floaty, you know they're trying, man.
i just noticed. there are gladiuses coming out of some of marisa's punches when they connect
The art and animation teams for this game are absolutely killing it.
Capcom said “Everybody loved Lady Dimitrescu… they’ll love Marisa”
Manon is So Graceful and Marisa is So Hardcore and Beastly! I love this!
When I see Marisa flipping through the air after Manon's attack that sends her flying I just imagine the "WAAAAAHOO-HOO-HOO-HOOEYYYYY" Goofy sound.
Everything just looks so good with this game. I really hope this launches and it's the Street Fighter Capcom has been needing to release for years now.
I know who I’m hanging out with in World Tour mode often, Marisa, I’m on my way. 💪
SF6 shaping up to be real good based on the gameplay so far. Cant wait to play Deejay and Manon.
Man I know it will probably only come as DLC in the future but I'm curious to see Fei Long in this game
My absolute favorite part of this (which is a tough competition, I love all of it) is that little head shake that Manon gives in the middle of Marisa’s level 3. Just the “oh god, please don’t” before she gets decimated. Can’t wait to put that fear in someone’s eyes.
I wonder how vast and beautiful this game will be in 5 years with more characters, costumes and stadiums. everything is very beautiful and I am happy that unlike Tekken 8 SF6 it will be like the old one and new generation together
Then there's tekken 8 telling the og players to get fucked essentially
mmmmmmmmmmmm
When max was talking about the muscle definition and 'Gief...I just realized why this is going to take another 6 months to come out. Most of that time will spend on Zangief. Because it's gonna take at least 3 months for a computer to even RENDER that level of muscle. XD
☝🏾"MUSCLE!!!!"☝🏾
For anyone wondering how they might've done the muscle definition, they most likely did it with normal maps. Normal maps are basically a texture layer that creates the illusion of depth and detail on lower resolution models. Typically the normal map texture is made by baking detail from a high resolution model into this weird rainbow image that the computer uses to make calculations for lighting details. All they would need to do then, is transition between the different normal maps during the animations in the specific areas necessary.
While this isn't a particularly difficult thing to implement on a technical level, the skill, time, and attention to detail it takes to have it look even half as good as it currently does is obscenely impressive.
Max: Real 4K footage!!
Me, watching on phone: haha yes 4k
After Marisa's lv3, I can only think "STOP SHE'S ALREADY DEAD"
My eyes were actually wide open through the entire slow mo section from observing all the detail
Literally anything from SF6: exists
Maximilian: THIS IS INSANE!
Marisa is Street Fighter 6 Broly seriously she's a monster
Manon was great too
Marissa out here looking like a Baki character
Marisa’s Drive Rush is what a wrestler would do, with the slide on one leg for a takedown! So cool!
now that i see it, i cant unsee it. there's a line of some sort on Manon's body on her hips, it cuts along her outfit and skin, if that is her skin in that opening on her leotard.
Marisa can do whatever she likes to me. Periodt
I was watching the best reaction from the first gameplay trailer on this channel, it's impressive how much was shown I just what to release soon.
Marisa looks like the character I try to get good with first. I'm getting Alex vibes with her playstyle with her long pokes and command grabs but she seems way faster so I'm assuming her grab is most likely going to be short range.
I love how you can see Manon slowly shake her head like "oh god no" right before Marisa punches her into next June
So iirc, that big Punch to the back of the head that Marisa does is actually a command grab. The first part where she seems to "parry" or counter is actually just a Guard stance she has access to, with a few different possible follow ups to it. Which is pretty insane
Hi max, great video!
Drive rushes in general aren't shorter, their length changes per character. Manon's length is shorter because she needs to get in, so it's a great way to balance the game out.
Max reminded me that I'd like to see Makoto again. She was probably my favorite SF3 character.
Streetfighter 6 just looks so good. All the movements and the facial expressions are amazing. I want this game❤
I dont know why but i
..just feel like max loves Marisa
Come for the SF6 footage, stay for Ripley running around and laughing.
I know her helmet is tied to her intro and outro but I hope we can play as Marisa with her helmet on.
Going to be a mod 100%
26 minutes of Marisa gushing let’s go

Max commenting on Marisa's throw: "This looks brutal, I feel bad!"
Me, a queer woman,"Yes... bad... that's what I'm feeling..."
I really love how great SF6 looks . I can’t wait until release date.
So to explain marisa's stance, it is a physical guard stance and it can go into several different options including a counter sway, grab and a low I believe, you do not need to receive hits to use the moves
That moment when you realize Gief will be a fusion of these two
Words can't express how excited I am to play Manon...
Fun fact: Marisa's Lv3 is even better on CA, where she punches Manon right in the face after she gets wall-planted. It was briefly shown in the 4 character reveal trailer from a while back.
Marisa seems like this combination of Sagat(my favorite character in the series) and Zangief gameplay wise and I can't wait to play her.
I really wish there was more E. Honda footage. His screenshots look so cool on the website but you don’t really get to see anything in the amateur footage they’ve shown of him so far.
ahh finally a version with sound, *stares at gamespot^
the1:45 the punish counter was in the body check, not in the grab. A lot of ppl are getting confused by it and making this same assumption
Not Me stating at Manon's GINORMOUS calves for 26 mins. 💀💀
@24:19 🤣🤣🤣 You tell 'em Max!
Marisa got that death by snu snu energy
I really can't wait for Lily to be revealed she might be the final character revealed.
Interested to see how the powerful moves of the hulking T Hawk translate to Lily who is said to be the tiniest character in the roster. That's something I can't wait to see
I'm really hoping that since the big question for Lily is "how is she gonna throw big characters like Zangief?" they're waiting to debut her ALONGSIDE Zangief: a grappler-grappler rivalry! 😤
Weren’t some of the leaked characters DLC?
She might be one of those
That punching the head on the ground is like a direct Mortal Combat brutality moment.
Marisa looks SO FUCKING SICK!!! :D
This stage track is dope. Meshes Paris and Hip Hop together nicely.
This game is on my must play list
Marisa looks fun God damn lol
The game animation in general is absolutely nuts!!! When i played the beta on my OLED screen i was blown away! The weight of each hit and the effects in general is top notch! Same for Manon & Marisa! Their animation is ridiculous! Especially Manon i mean her dance moves is so full of personality! Ngl i really feel SF6 will be a huge huge for fighting games! It will be the highest selling SF game too! I disagree with max about game being slow even before using the DR in the beta i felt its very good! Also they chose perfect voice actors for these both characters 😂🔥❤😍 also all old VAs are back!! Can't be more amazing! ALSO CAPCOM PLEASE SHOW US CAMMY 😂😂😭😭
My GAWD Marisa goes hard. Also, I fucking love the realistic mussels in this game, it's so fucking epic.
So, the thing we got by what we have is, Marisa have this instance. We're not sure if the stance is or not a counter since it has that big glowing effect, but that's what we were first lead to belvie by the first review, since it didn't had those super armor effects where the character gets black, and she got grabbed the moment she jabbed it. But in the Dynamic Control footage, we see this happen, seens to be a very precise jab into the guard and it leads to no counter, so doubt.
What is know for sure is it has 3 follow ups: The body check (body slam? guard slam? idk how to call it), which I assume its the light follow, since its quick and its the only you keep the stance after it, also goes a bit foward; A big double handed overhead; and the grab.
At some moment I thought getting it as a right time counter would let you do whichever follow you wanted instantly, but it doesn't seem to be the case, since now we see her doing insanely fast instance activation into grab.
We really gotta play the character to find out. We still dont know if Gladius "sand blast" is just visual or actually have a hitbox, that charged knee, it really looks like she actually charging a punch, does she has a punch with a similar build up pose and different hitbox, so she can get you guessing? we really gota play her to know
20:58 When It looks sped up that means its not skipping any frames. It's a good thing.
