  • Join me for another Fun episode coming from our Southern Illinois Kapper Outdoors farm as I break out the home made chisel plow to work up a new fall food plot area that I had recently cleared with the Bobcat T650 and Blue Diamond severe duty mower, and the Bobcat e42 mini excavator. HOWEVER..., before we go there please with my friend CJ your best wishes and prayers as he has been struggling with a heart/lung condition, that might just put him on the operating table any day now for open heart surgery! He has been down now for a month or two and is going in to see the heart specialist on Monday! And so far the prognosis does not look very good! There is a good chance that he could end up on the operating table on Tuesday, depending on how the appointment goes on Monday! Please wish him well on this! Life is short people, lets work together to enjoy it TOGETHER! His channel is Schick Happens, and if you'd like to show him some support, check it out and subscribe!: / @schickhappens299
    Now, on to today's video. Today I'll be taking out the new Kioti RX7320 Kioti tractor and a home made chisel plow to work up an area of our Southern Illinois farm that we recently cleared, which was an area of brush and hardwood growth. We'll take a look back at the 'before' of this area and today we'll work it up with the chisel plow... Of course until another setback occurs!! Uggghhh. But we keep it VERY REAL here at Kapper Outdoors so you will see it all WITH US! Don't forget if you enjoy our content, please hit the Like button, and share it to help us grow our UA-cam family! Thank you we appreciate that! Also consider subscribing to follow all kinds of Kioti tractor projects like this, our Illinois and Kentucky land management projects, food plots, duck ponds, wildlife conservation projects, wildlife habitat improvement projects, wildlife photography, our Kentucky farmhouse rehab project, Bobcat mini excavator projects, deer watering holes, building roads, fixing pond dam leaks, Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer projects, DIY red cedar projects, DIY rustic barn wood projects, DIY landscaping, and much more country living adventure. Best to CJ .
    A very important part of clearing that field was your use of the excavator to remove stumps. Obviously your chisel plow would not have done as well as it did without all your good work at clearing the subsurface. Here people will have the bulldozer root plow after clearing.
    I have seen equipment like your plow have a spring mechanism that allows the blade to release thus decreasing breaks.
    Very interesting follow up video of land reclamation.

    Joe, you have more of a "RIPPER" than a chisel plow. But for what you are using it for, a ripper is perfect. Will save a lot of wear and tear on your new tiller. Still recommend you find a decent used 5 or 7 shank chisel plow for your annual conventional tillage food plots.

    Cj we’ll have those prayers going up for you. I had emergency heart surgery some years ago. My last two children was just coming out of diapers and I didn’t know if they would ever know their dad because I had a big blood clot on the outside of my heart and I had my heart taken out and I was put on a heart lung machine to keep my brain alive and to keep all other important things falling to keep working. But I was strong but had suffered a year and went through 11 cardiologist before the 11 th one seen the blood clot and my main three arteries 98 to 99 percent blocked. But the bypass veins has collapsed now and my others are open and working good. I felt like a new man when I got well. But I was walking the hallway three days later. They have come along way on heart surgeries since I went in. They don’t bust your chest open anymore by what I’ve heard. They go in just under your rib cage which is so much better since I was never able to work again because of the wire was the only thing holding my chest together. But I’ve ripped the bottom one out from dragging a deer out of the woods. Hod Bless and may all turn out well.

    Well Schickster, I didn't know you were prior LE and military. Same as me. I did 40 years in LE and 7 years US Army. In 2016 I had an EKG that didn't show much. I did a stress test and found I had a blockage that needed a stent. Went in for the stent but when they got in there they found I had 3 blocked arteries and I ended up with a triple bypass. What I want you to know is now days surgery like that is a piece of cake pretty much. You will pull through Im sure of that. Good Luck

  • @MikeyDunn
    @MikeyDunn 4 роки тому

    Grind it out so you end up with a deep V-shaped groove between the snapped halves and run several passes of weld into it until it's all filled up. I'd also grind a v on the other (outer) side where the original weld was just around the outside of the plate and fill it up with a few passes there. That's the best way to stick it back together that I know of, short of replacing the entire end plate with thicker material.
    And CJ, you'll be right again pretty soon I'm sure, Heart surgery is far from a mystery to surgeons these days. You've gotta keep up with your general health afterwards though, easy on the meats, plenty of walking and such.

Just like anything Kapper you got to look after your self, because no one else knows the deal better than ones self. True in anything in life.

    I know you have taken a lot of time and maybe even learned a few new words using your quick hitch system. Just wondering if you have any experience with Pat's Quick Hitch system? It appears to me that you back up and hook up in a 'flash', then dismount to hook up the top link and go. It seems much more tolerant of different sizes of equipment and the only downside is the top link. Thoughts?

    • @kapperoutdoors
      @kapperoutdoors  4 роки тому

      I don't know what Pat's quick hitch system is. I use the John Deere I match because of several reasons I found it more user-friendly. It takes some time to get all of your implements to the same settings and so forth. But overall it works pretty well for the most part. Thanks
