The most comfortable belt I've ever worn is from Kore. I was skeptical about the ratchet style belts but the 1/4" adjustments are awesome compared to 1" on a typical belt. It's stiff and easily holds the weight.

"It's very personal." My words exactly when people want me to tell them how to carry and which holster to use. They have to be the ones to determine what works for their needs, what is comfortable for them and does it fit their physical abilities. To give them a clear picture of what it might take before they find that perfect holster and carry position for their daily needs, I have told my customers that I have dozens of holsters at home that I used a few times or even once and found out it wasn't what I wanted. "I can kick someone in the face with these things on" needs to be in an advertisement for 5.11 jeans. Also, speaking of 5.11 - I have their leather gun belt which I wear daily, and I absolutely love it. Even has a little pocket in the back for a cuff key, never know when you might be restrained and need to unattached yourself from those nickel-plated bracelets.
I've only had one pair of 5.11 and I love them. Plus theirs a side pocket that carrys mags perfect. As a guy that loves to high kick I make sure my pants can handle it.
I found a holster to which you can put a slightly reversed Cant ( as opposed to a totally vertical holster) makes for a more natural grip angle as you’re coming from the shoulder line to the midline of the body. 🤷🏼♂️
Switched to 5.11 Denims about two years ago and never went back. Not only are they comfortable and hold my gear and mags, they also last way longer than any other jeans I have ever used. The mag pockets in the back are perfect for a spare mag and flashlight on opposite sides
@@dillydoor I currently have 6 pairs. One of them is a few years old and still going strong. They faded from the original dark blue after hundreds of washes, and now feel a little lighter weight like they are a different color/weight of the same Jean. No rips, no tears, and I still wear them weekly. I thought the same about the price. Tried Vertx, as well and ran them side by side for a durability comfort check. By far the 5.11 are more comfortable. Once I had worn the single pair for two years and wore out all of my other non tactical jeans by carrying a gun every day; I replaced my entire wardrobe of jeans with this single model. Regular “fashion” jeans won’t hold up to carrying knives, guns, lights, and hard use. So I think I have been wearing these jeans for a total of 4 years now. First two (testing phase) and then switched to wearing only these two years ago. Meaning my oldest pair is 4 years old and still in the rotation. These jeans are worth the money, and are wife approved. I wear them in the office at a tech company (not a lot of tactical people there) and no one can tell they are tactical jeans. Hope that helps.

Just hearing Pat say “it’s not just going to GO OFF” then laugh really helped me get over my trepidation of carrying in the appendix position with a loaded chamber. I’ve been carrying with a loaded chamber for quite a while now at the 8 o’clock position (yep, I’m left handed) with no fear of my gun “just going off”. I have a good Vedder holster for appendix carry but just couldn’t get past the mental block of where my muzzle was pointing. I like to carry more centerline. I know that the trigger guard is completely covered. I practiced a LOT of draws in the front position and have gotten my trigger finger discipline down really good. I know that the likelihood of the striker releasing from the sear on it’s own is virtually impossible. I know my gun has a striker block that will not disengage unless the trigger is pulled almost all the way back. But it was just that mental block! Finally I realized after carrying strong side for so long and my gun has never discharged on it’s own. And hearing someone like Pat with all of his knowledge and experience say that gave me the boost I needed. I do like and have gotten pretty good with my strong side draws, but wanted another option. I really like the comfort, conceal-ability and quickness of appendix carry. Now I carry centerline almost exclusively now. Thanks Pat Mac!!

For me EDC = M&P Shield in appendix configuration, with Cross Breed holster. I'm sure other holsters have this, but Cross Breed has an augmentation kit for extra magazine that bolts onto the holster. Very handy, although I find the magazine will slip out and the kydex for the extra mag doesn't lock into place firmly. Anyhow I'm happy with it and I don't need to keep it in a pocket.
Interesting that my normal, non 'pistol', EDC is the same. I carry a light for work, construction, and I am always needing a light for something. Knife, all my kids,7, have been given a knife to carry. One thing I carry that no one else seems to is a sharpie. Always needing to write on something and it is a great weapon.
I would like to know your thoughts, opinion on crossdraw carry. That's the way I've been carrying for years. It's comfortable, easy to draw, doesn't telegraph your intention to draw as much as hip draw or appendix (in my opinion)...would be interesting to have another critical thinkers view. Great video, always great information!
I'm 51, a US Army veteran 🎗, ccw license holder, G-armed security. I carry pistols with NO ambi safety levers starting about 2yr ago, 2020 era. There are a few guns like a 1911 where I'd want a ambi safety but most uses can get by fine with DA only or striker type systems. I feel secure. I often use level ll TS7 Safariland holsters too.
My preference, but I like to ensure a means of carrying a spare magazine. I too prefer the Glock 19 and yes, 15 rounds would get me out of just about anything, but 1) I have grown accustomed to having 31 rounds and 2) there are a number of mishaps that can result from a faulty or malfunctioning magazine, so having the spare can fix it right away.
Great video, brother. Really hope to take some courses with you one day. The right fit for you is a great mindset. So many other "traininers" are trying to say you need to have a Glock 34 with optic and Surefire X300 crammed down your pants. Well, I'm 5'4" and 165....that just does not work.

Good reminder! Thank you sir!
Yep all good,👊🇺🇸🇺🇸
I would like to know your thoughts, opinion on crossdraw carry. That's the way I've been carrying for years. It's comfortable, easy to draw, doesn't telegraph your intention to draw as much as hip draw or appendix (in my opinion)...would be interesting to have another critical thinkers view. Great video, always great information!
Best way to carry in a car if you drive a lot too.
Great stuff!
I just ordered the Cloud MCH edc light. Crazy stoked for it
Check your firearm safeties before you trust your firearm safeties. I've seen 3 safeties fail on m4's; one failure resulted in a negligent discharge
Great vid #patmac. God bless brother.
Dropping knowledge bombs. Always good to hear from Mac. Keep up the good work.
Great video, brother. Really hope to take some courses with you one day. The right fit for you is a great mindset. So many other "traininers" are trying to say you need to have a Glock 34 with optic and Surefire X300 crammed down your pants. Well, I'm 5'4" and 165....that just does not work.
