Mentioned this on the original upload, but I love how this episode has an implication that the different languages in Geth are just different accents and slang that are inexplicably indecipherable to people who don't speak those languages

@@irimac1806in America sometimes when they show people who live in the Louisiana bayou areas on reality TV they give them subtitles because the rest of the country literally can't understand them.
Despite being a small country Switzerland has wildly differing dialects. If you’re from Zürich (The North-West) You‘ll have difficulty with people from Bern (Central Switzerland) and it’ll be virtually impossible to to understand those from the Valais. (To the South-West, most of them actually speak French but even if you know French or they know German it‘ll be hard.
Romance hero swashbuckler Corazon taking on the battalion of spurned lovers was absolute GOLD
Corazon: Takes the spurned lovers and encourages a speed-dating event, helping them take the first step in moving past why they hate bards. Egbert: inspires the angry former barkeeps into making a small fortune. Prudence: gives the unemployed guards something to fight (and probably die fighting, but semantics). Dob: Goes to the group of normal people picked up by adventurers and then abandoned after one quest and does more or less the exact same thing to them.
Katie furiously unscrewing her pearl head to stare indignantly at the oxventurers was an excellent bit of acting on Johnny's part

My favourite is when Prudence says, "As soon as I am 250 feet out, I nail two of them with an Eldritch Spear."
Wow, "meat discs inside of a doughy pillow" is a FANTASTIC callback.

I'm loving all their plans. I love Corazon with the speed dating plan, but then came Egbert with the extortionate prices plan and I absolutely love it. Egbert being peaceful with his solution is some both surprising and also not surprising. I fully thought Prudence was starting a massive fight and I did let out an "oh sh*t" when she summoned a greater demon. It does make sense that she wouldn't try to fight them all even with a Shadow Demon. I also love Dob's speech and method for inspiring his group to run off to a non-existent dragon hoard. I'm proud of the 4 of them for using mostly non-violent means for resolving the issue.
You know what I realized 95% of DND games are just Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Yay Prudence used her greater demon spell...properly. This episode is great Corazon charms the lovers, Egbert emplys 100 barmen and Prudence goes murdering, i love it

i just happened to look at the post date and had a mini internal crisis trying to piece together how this happened a month ago. took me a minute to remember this is a reupload, i was freaking out.
I have to Egbert credit where it is due as someone who has gone in without out a plan several times this one worked wonderfully.

@@nobodyfamousX No spoilers because I have seen the wedding episode, but I believe that they were unable to cast detect magic due to Prudence losing her magic. However, Merilwen did cast Dispel Magic and nothing happened

When Chadsworth Croaker started freaking out from the heat metal bit, my first thought was that it was gonna be a Total Recall reference, "Come on Cohagen, give these people air!". Since that bit, I was trying to figure out the Schwarzenegger references every time he showed up.

@@echoofangels1 Help has arrived! Bob was an NPC that the characters took on a dungeon dive at the end of season 2 or beginning of season 3 and then abandoned to start another adventure. He was there for maybe a couple of episodes… and one of the five mentioned this was his villain origin story. 😎

Indeed Andy wrote the lyrics, and Luke took a moment to compose the melody in his head before he FIRST played it. Or they collaborated off screen beforehand.
Imagine if instead of tossing all their money into a lake, they had it stored on the Joyful Damnation and were able to buy all the quest-reward gear from the unit Dob took care of.
Also it would've been fun to see Dob form that group into parties of 5 to start their own questing guilds if all they wanted was friends. Plus they'd have a leg-up on normal starting D&D parties since they all have some higher-level gear. (They could even have been used for Oxventure One-Shots).
i will mention that there is a band called Austrian Death Machine and i imagine Croaker being its lead vocal.

"Hammered Meatballs", that makes it sound like they're alcoholic... But as it's Bardcon, that is entirely possible.
Bards save lives by casting sleep. 😂 otherwise their rest will be eternal.

Idk.why the oxventure guild always forget that they have a 61 strong army of the undead that’s literally immortal that they can use to take on armies.
100 strong battalions lure them all into a kill zone manned by 20 skeletons and then build some catapults and hit them with artillery for the ones on the permitter while the other 41 skeletons flank them from the rear. And that’s not even using the combat abilities of the guild. That’s just skeletons vs what I can assume is a poorly armed untrained militia of farmers and yokels.
It's not that they forget, it's about a battle like that being entertaining for the ones playing it but not as much for the people watching.
Or not as entertaining as the kind of things the Oxventurers come up with, I think.
Same reason they didn't just write in the magic book that Egbert has his kidney back and Lillian is dead. It would ruin the experience. The skeletons are a running joke as this point where they have an immortal army but use it for menial tasks like sailing the ship.
@@loading9110 you also don’t want to trust the evil monkeys-paw skeletons with anything that you don’t want people to die during.
There's also the fact that Johnny none too subtly hinted that the skeletons shouldn't be used often - cursed consequences for calling them

1:37:25 4 mph is a very fast walk, average is closer to 2.5, but 4 mph is very doable for a jog.

Another terrible job solving the problem like usual! Only like 5 bards died due to their actions and probably many more in the future when the one time adventurers figure out they've been had by a bard and the druid gnome figures out they killed her grandfather.
