I was a mechanic here, back in '97-'98.
So sad knowing that this place is gone forever and that all of the people I once worked with and became friends with, are now scattered across different shops and dealerships across the tri-state area... 😭

There were residential buildings in addition to the car dealership (weird. Not a hint of the dealership exists today). The building to the right is a liquor store facing Anderson with a parking lot.

If I remember correctly a backdraft acquired Blowing the front windows of C&C Ford and burning Fairview’s Stick in the front They did a pretty good job on keeping it from taking out the whole block This fire put up a tremendous column of smoke visible for miles was able to see it from the upper floors of Englewood Hospital

I recall of watching this fire, from the High School grounds during our lunch break.

Just curious, does the D/E and/or this ladder apparatus's officer (8:20) still have their jobs? They must have missed that "equipment spotting" class.

I don't think that those Firefighters should have been on that Roof - the way it looked like - Bad Fire.

Did they not have deck guns or areal trucks? I mean I like a good 2-1/2 as much as the next guy but damn. Save a little manpower and let the deck gun do the heavy lifting. The building was a loss anyway.

Extreme big fire but they got the job done. Where was the fire truck parked when it burned on right side. If they still have their old aerial the company can use it until they fix or purchase new one.

It went out of service for a few months and North Hudson Fire Rescue lent them a spare ladder witch happened to be a Seagrave The same type they had before they got the present ladder truck

I know this is random, but would you happen to have the footage from the (i believe it’s called) Attic Antique store fire? It was years ago, but still !

What!!!! Large ground lines, putting water on the seat of the fire in the first and second floors! Kudos! Sure beats the surround and drown mentality which normally loses the whole building! Put the water on the seat of the fire always!!!!

Is it my imagination or are the cars in the parking lot all steaming (or smoking)? Is that paint putting out fumes as it disintegrates? What would those cars look like on the inside, would they be burned or just melted? Oh yeah, I feel sorry for anyone who had their car "in the shop" that day for a tune-up or whatever. I expect it would be a little hard to start...
