- Phase 1 Reactions
1. Oxidation/ Hydroxylation
involves cytochrome p450
examples- Oxidation of Alcohol, aldehydes, amines, aromatic hydrocarbons, sulfuric compounds, drugs
2. Reduction
examples- nitro compounds, picric acid, Chloral
3. Hydrolysis
examples- Aspirin, atropine, procaine, xylocain, DFP etc
You are the best biochem professor i have seen sir. Your lecture will be crisp and perfect. No requirement of books when heard your lectures.
That's basically entoxification na?
Thank you very much sir.. can't define how important you are for biochem .. gonna suggest all my jrs. About ur channel
Sir, very good explanation, thank you so much sir, keep going, all the best 👍💯-your lectures are amazing always, even the audio clarity is good 👍
Thank you so much Sir! You are great! Thank God I discovered your videos on UA-cam. I am preparing my Biochemistry Final Examination and thanks to your lectures I can understand the stuff more easily!! Thank you soo much and God Bless you! ❤️
Wonderful explianation great time management
Dear sir, I really appreciate your reasonable effort in teaching a complex subject like biochemistry so nicely. I have a humble request, most of the textbooks show phase one as consisting of oxidation-reduction and hydrolysis. similarly phase two consists of conjugation pathways. thanking for your great effort and excellence in teaching, my humble regards.
this is life saver video sir thank you for your efforts 🙏🙏🙏
Thank u very much sir... Bahut hi behter samjhya apne ... Class me itne ache se clear nhi hua tha .. Bt ab koi doubt nhi h😊😊👍👍👍
Outstanding sir ....fully detail ...no more question left behind after watching this video
Tere ko sab smej aa gya
For questioning you must know extra from before itself
Awesome explanation 😊
Please make video on free radicals and antioxidants.
U made it very simple and easy to understand sir
Thank you
Thank u so much Sir 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 .. u r the nly teacher for whom now a days i cn cover my chapters 😇😇😇 Thanx a loott Sirr🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Great Explanation sir.Thank you
Sir your lectures are really helpful.✅
Wow amazing! This is helpful
great lecture thanks a lot 😊😊
outstanding, very helpful
Sir your explanation is outstanding
Amazing work sir
Awesome explanation sir...tq sir
thank you sir...it was really helpful
Excellent work sir
Mast explained kiya sir ji aapne.
Thank you so much sir very good lecture
Thank you sir
It is very helpful for me
Super lecture Sir thanks alote
Thank you so much sir 🙏
How do we explain the relationship between phase 1 and 2 reactions in xenobiotics?
Super sir👌👌👌
Tq so much sir,u saves our time😁
Thanks sir this was very helpful
You are best sir ❣❣💚💚🙏🙏🙏🙏
Tq very much sir
I have one doubt sir
Could we take another example for reduction sir that is
Conversion of nitrobenzene to amino benzene
Along with your example
Nitrophenol to aminophenol
Nice sir 👌👌
Thnku soo muchh sir🙏🙏😊😊👍👍
Normally, drug or xenobiotics metabolism occurs in phase 1 followed by phase 2 reactions. My question is there any drug which undergo phase 2 reaction first then to phase 1 reaction for metabolism?
Aah ooh thalaivare
Nakkuu
Thank you so much sirr ❤❤❤😊😊😊
It help me alot
This yr we got this question sir 🥴it's a bouncer question for us
Wooww thank you so much
thank you so much for the lecture.
Thank u sir 🙏
Sir, how you remember all this, great
Thank you sir❤️
Nice sr
Thanku sir 👍🏻👍🏻
14:19 Doubt : Sir, you have told Formic acid is more toxic than ethanol, but in detoxification that is in hydroxylation methanol is converted into formic acid, how ????
Thank you sir 😊
Thank you sir 😊🙂
Thanks ☺️ sir
Did you know smily didi...? Plz.. You must know...
Respected sir I have completed my bsc MLT I want to go for clinical biochemistry course which course is best for me MSc MLT clinical biochemistry or Msc clinical biochemistry
Sir pharmaceutical biochemistry notes videos
From 6:12 the important points are explained… before all are basics
Sir it's a biochemistry topic but y it always related with pollutant transformation mean is biotransformation of pollution and biotransformation of xenobiotic is same
In the which lesson, detoxification given ?????
thank u!!
Sir cyt p450 enzymes are located in ER OR MICROSOMES if both option given in mcq
microsomes
💜
Looking like selvaraghavan❣
Oombu
If your lecture in hindi then we are hindi medium students ka bhi bhala ho jata hai....
Baaki aap likhiye english me hi
bestest
Sir apne ek molecule oxygen bol diya hai instead of one atom...
Is bilirubin a xenobiotic?
Thank u very very much sir.
u listened that
Ey method biodegradation of xynbiotics ky topic pr bhi lokh skty hy....
Sir ,Are xenobiotics always undergoing detoxification??????
Cant they become more toxic on biotransformations ??
Which book u prefer sir ??
Vasudevan
Sir plzz video on metabolism of fructose
Thank you sir
Sir please upload phase 2 also ASAP 🙏🏻
Phase 2 rxns occurs in mitochondria and cytoplasm of liver cell. They are also called synthetic rxns. Conjugations of xenobiotics takes place. Mostly by UGT...
MUHAMMAD SULAIMAN
I m not asking for a definition 🙄
@@nishidwivedi4405 it's not definition
Sukriya Jo bhi tha 😊
detoxification itself doesnt mean converting into more toxic substance ,its a misnomer as sometimes the detoxified product might be more toxic than original form
That is not detoxification it is called entoxification
Nobody thinks this way mam😅
As methanol converted to formic acid by oxidation which is one of the step of detoxification but result product is more toxic than methanol
may I have ur insta id ?
konala shikvaayla challi ahe tu 🤦♀️
Why bilirubin is foreign compound?
Compounds produced in the body which are to be eliminated, e.g. bilirubin and steroids. Bilirubin is toxic to the brain of newborns and may cause irreversible brain injury. Biotransformation of the lipophilic bilirubin molecule in the liver results in the production of water-soluble (hydrophilic) metabolites excreted into bile.
🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much sir very good lecture
Thank you sir 🙏🙂
