      Hey Rolf! Could you please share where you got the spare handle from??? That would be sensational!

    Superb video as usual, thanks.
    As you swapped the bulb over to LED in the glove box, have you done that for all the other dashboard and internal lighting so far? If not I would really be interested in the procedure and model numbers for replacements for them all.

      Phil, I have changed all the interior lighting to LED, however, wasn't planning to change the dash lights etc as quite difficult to coordinate the colour and shade of light through the different LED bulbs also more difficult to control the dimming function. However, you have got me thinking now. They are T5 and T10 bulbs. There is a video by Richard Astley ua-cam.com/video/Sh5AsKND3pM/v-deo.html showing the details. Thanks for the comment regards Damian

      Phil, had a quick play with LED bulbs in the instrument clusters this evening. Definitely brighter but... It turns/bleached the green markets to light blue. Also the light isn’t quite even but could improve with stronger LEDs. Doesn’t go with the centre console green back light but considering buying green LEDs to see if that helps. Thanks for idea, regards Damian

    That's fantastic video! thank you. Would you be able to tell me where I can get a replacement glovebox handle (I am based in Australia)? The LHS pin/tab broke very easily today when I tried to open the glovebox, literally with no force at all...

      Kostas, thank you for your the support and positive feedback. Reference the glovebox lid. You need to find the trim code for your interior its on the door opening sticker (three letters) to make sure its the same colour. Probably need to buy the whole second hand glove box which might be expensive. Could find this listed on eBay £105 .(www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363778397225?hash=item54b2e1d429:g:0CEAAOSwqhpiQA5M). The actual handle looks similar/same as the one used on the XJ8. That might be easier to get hold off. If NG can try contacting Autoreservejaguar.com they maybe able to help you. Simplest idea is to try a repair/improvement. Hope that helps, regards Damian

      @@ODRModurol you’re a top guy, thank you for replying.
      I’ll follow the path you suggested.
      With regards to improvement/home repair, do you have any ideas or know of anything done already by others? I was thinking a small metal pin through the nib that broke and some epoxy to hold it all together…

    Great very informative video again - I was wondering do you know where the air con drain pipes are located.... as last summer the passenger footwell carpet was damp and no dripping underneath the car, however the drivers side carpet is dry and lots of drips onto the exhaust pipe... I’m sure it used to drip on both sides of the exhaust... any ideas.....keep up the great work.

    • @ODRModurol
      @ODRModurol  3 роки тому

      John, on my car the aircon drips on the RHS of the exhaust system (drivers side). Looking at the aircon diagram I can only see the aircon outlet on the RHS. Suggest removing the passenger side carpet as most probably got a hole in the floor, will also help to dry out the carpet. Not the easiest of jobs as need to remove the seat and sill cover. Might be the door seal but most likely rusty floor. Almost every car in the uk has had the issue. Hope that helps and thank you for the comment regards Damian

      @@ODRModurol Thank you Damian, I have had the floor pan welded last year, it’s dry at the moment as it’s not getting a lot of use, so waiting to use the air con to the max..... so I think you have solved the mystery...,

      John, sounds logical and most probable, how it was the issue with the wet carpet. Thanks for the comment regards Damian

    Ok maybe I'm close have 4 fasteners holding airbag. 2 black nuts with built.in washers facing forward 2 silver nuts underneath
    Airbag bracket takes 6 fasteners 4 goldtone know where they go. Then 2 black star bolts facing downward? Have 2 pairs 1 pair shorter other pair no thread at tips. Pair for glovebox housing has plastic barrels so dont know if meant to protrude past point as it's open.

    Instead of spraying grease inside the cylinder of the damper, why not lubricate the O-ring?

    • @ODRModurol
      @ODRModurol  3 роки тому

      David, very good point. If I had a tub of white grease I would have concentrated on the ‘O’ ring. With the spray grease couldn’t be that precise. Seemed to have done the job. A lot smoother action now. Thanks for the comment and suggestion. Much appreciated regards Damian
